La Concepción Wreck Location
La Concepción Wreck is found in the Chinchorro region, on the western edge of the Caribbean map. The coordinates are 150, 271 — southeast of Fort Chinchorro. Sail there and look for ship masts poking up from the water. Pull up to them and interact with the prompt to deploy your Diving Bell and drop in.
Be aware that the Chinchorro region has a strong fort and several high-level enemy ships patrolling nearby. If your Jackdaw isn’t heavily upgraded yet, approach from the southeast to give the worst of the patrols a wide berth before diving.
How to Unlock La Concepción Wreck
Like all 7 underwater shipwrecks, La Concepción Wreck becomes available after completing Diving for Medicines — the 22nd main story mission at the start of Sequence 6. That mission unlocks the Diving Bell and auto-marks every wreck on your map.

La Concepción Wreck Walkthrough – All Chest Locations
The wreck is a sizeable dive site. The 9 standard chests are spread across the main sunken ship hulls and the surrounding seabed debris. A shark actively patrols the area near the Diving Bell and hull openings, and jellyfish also cluster around the wreck entrances. You’ll need to time your swims carefully around both.
Step 1 – Enter and Begin Sweeping the Wreck
After the Diving Bell drops you in, start scanning immediately with L2/LT to highlight white dots. The wreck is large enough that you can miss chests easily without the scan. Check your underwater map regularly to track which areas you’ve covered and which you haven’t.
Work through the main hull sections systematically — the wreck has multiple broken ship pieces across the site. Don’t beeline to the secret chest first. Clear the standard chests around you as you go, topping up oxygen at air barrels when needed.
Step 2 – Deal With the Shark
A shark patrols the waters near the Diving Bell and around the main wreck entrance. It’s more active here than in some of the other wrecks, so keep one eye on it at all times. Wait for it to turn away before swimming through tight hull openings — especially when heading up to the second floor of the northern wreck where the secret chest sits.
When the shark charges, watch for the white glint on its mouth and dodge sideways at that moment. Don’t panic-swim up to the surface — stay calm, dodge, and carry on looting.
Step 3 – Find the 9 Standard Chests
The 9 standard chests are spread across the broken ship hulls and scattered debris around the dive area. Most reward around 1,000 Reales each. Use L2/LT scanning to spot them through the dark sections of the wreck interior and check your map to make sure none are left behind before you surface.
There are more chests here than at the San Ignacio or Antocha wrecks, so you’ll be underwater longer. Keep a close eye on your breath meter and use air barrels before you’re desperate, not after.
Step 4 – Find the Secret Chest (Ram Ultimate Plan)
The secret chest is located north of the Diving Bell, inside a broken section of the main shipwreck. Swim north from your entry point and look for the hull section closest to the Diving Bell itself. Swim inside and head up to the second floor of the wreck interior. The large secret chest is directly ahead of you.
Time your approach carefully — the shark patrols this area, and jellyfish cluster around the hull opening. Wait for the shark to swim away, then push through and open the chest to grab the Ram Ultimate Plan.

The Ram Ultimate Plan unlocks the Ram IV upgrade for the Jackdaw. This maxes out your ship’s ramming capability, increasing collision damage to 4,000 per hit. That’s enough to destroy smaller enemy ships in a single clean ram, and it deals serious damage to frigates and brigs too.
To purchase Ram IV after collecting the plan, you’ll need a Tier 3 Harbourmaster at Great Inagua, plus 15,000 Reales, 200 Metal, and 600 Wood. The Ram upgrade is especially effective for aggressive boarding runs — sail at full speed into a target, finish off the crew, and take the ship for Kenway’s Fleet.

Tips for Diving at La Concepción Wreck
- Approach the fort from the southeast — The Chinchorro region has tough Man O’War patrols near the fort. If you’re not fully upgraded yet, give the fort a wide berth and sneak in from the south before diving.
- Time your swim around the shark — Especially when going north toward the secret chest. Wait until the shark turns away before pushing through the hull opening to the second floor. Rushing it gets you hit.
- Watch for jellyfish at hull entrances — They cluster around openings in the wreck. Swim around them rather than through them. They can’t hurt you but they slow your movement and can push you off course.
- Scan with L2/LT constantly — Nine chests spread across a large wreck means it’s easy to miss one without scanning. Do a full sweep before surfacing and double-check your map.
- Use air barrels before you’re desperate — With 9 chests to collect, you’ll be underwater longer than at most other wrecks. Refill early rather than waiting until the meter is critical.
- Go to the second floor for the secret chest — It’s not on the seabed. Swim into the northern wreck section and head up inside the hull. The chest is on the upper level, not the ground floor.
