Mistfall Hunter Editions — Standard vs Deluxe

Mistfall Hunter launched on July 29, 2026 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Developer Bellring Games confirmed two editions at launch:

• Standard Edition — $24.99 (full game, all classes, all maps, Season 1 Battle Pass)
• Deluxe Edition — $39.99 (everything in Standard plus 8 exclusive cosmetic items and 2,500 Fate Coins)

If you already own the Standard Edition, you can upgrade to Deluxe at any time for $15. You won’t need to repurchase the base game. Note that the upgrade DLC is treated as consumable content and follows separate refund rules from the base game, so keep that in mind before purchasing. Also, if you buy the upgrade while already in-game, restart the client before trying to claim your items.

Both editions include the Season 1 Battle Pass at no extra cost. There are no gameplay advantages in the Deluxe Edition — every item is purely cosmetic. Fate Coins can only be used in the in-game cosmetic shop. Bellring Games confirmed zero pay-to-win mechanics across all platforms.

How to Claim Mistfall Hunter Deluxe Edition Items

This is where most players get stuck. The Deluxe Edition items don’t drop into your inventory when you launch the game. You need to claim them manually through a specific NPC after completing the opening section. Here’s how:

Step 1 — Complete the Prologue and Reach Camp

You can’t access the mailbox until you’ve finished the prologue and arrived at the Windrest camp. The claim process isn’t available until this point, so new players will need to push through the opening section first before they can grab their rewards.

Step 2 — Find Soekja the White Crow at the Pier

Once you’re at camp, look for Soekja — a white crow sitting at the pier. Interact with it. This opens up your Mailbox interface, which is where all in-game mail and reward items are delivered.

Step 3 — Open Your Mailbox and Claim the Rewards

Inside the Mailbox, you’ll see a mail item labelled “Deluxe Edition Rewards” at the top. Click Claim. All eight Deluxe Edition items will be bound to your account immediately. They won’t automatically appear as equipped — you’ll still need to go into the relevant menus to activate and equip each one, which is covered in the next section.

If your rewards don’t appear, make sure you’ve fully restarted the game after purchasing the upgrade, especially if you bought it while already playing.

How to Equip Each Deluxe Edition Item in Mistfall Hunter

After claiming from the Mailbox, each item needs to be activated and equipped through different in-game menus. Here’s exactly where each one goes.

How to Equip the Forsaken Skeleton Outfit

The Forsaken Skeleton is the standout item in the Deluxe Edition — a full legendary outfit with five separate pieces. To use it:

1. Open the Wardrobe menu.
2. Activate each piece individually: Forsaken Skeleton Head, Body, Hands, Legs, and Feet.
3. Once all five pieces are activated, switch to the outfit set tab and equip the full Forsaken Skeleton set.

You must activate the individual pieces before the full set becomes equippable. Skipping the activation step is a common reason players can’t see their outfit.

How to Equip the Shipwreck Coast Background

Go to the Wardrobe menu and open the “Show Off” tab. Find the Shipwreck Coast background, activate it, then equip it from the same menu.

How to Equip the Justice Standing Pose

Still inside the Show Off menu in Wardrobe, switch to the second tab. You’ll find the Justice standing pose here. Activate it and then equip it.

How to Equip the Web of Fate Earring

Navigate to the Accessories section in your menus and switch to the third tab labelled “Accessories.” The Web of Fate earring will appear here. Activate it, then equip it.

How to Equip the Pip Emotes, Light Feather Frame, and Dew Avatar

These three items are handled differently from the others. You need to:

1. Go to your Warehouse storage in camp.
2. Find the emotes, avatar, and avatar frame listed there.
3. Highlight each item and select “Use” to add them to your Wardrobe customization menu.
4. Head to the Wardrobe menu to equip them from there.

If you skip the “Use” step in the Warehouse and go straight to Wardrobe, these items won’t appear. The Warehouse step is required to move them into the equippable pool.

How to Use Your 2,500 Fate Coins

Fate Coins are the premium currency in Mistfall Hunter and are used to purchase cosmetic items from the in-game shop. Your 2,500 Fate Coins are added directly to your account balance after claiming from the Mailbox — you don’t need to do anything extra to receive them. They carry over to whatever cosmetic items are available in the shop now and in future seasonal updates.

As confirmed by Bellring Games, Fate Coins are strictly cosmetic. They can’t be used to buy better gear, speed up progression, or gain any advantage during runs. Everything that improves your Gyldhunter’s effectiveness in the Gyldenmist comes from playing and extracting successfully.

Is the Mistfall Hunter Deluxe Edition Worth It?

That depends entirely on whether the cosmetics appeal to you. The $15 gap between Standard and Deluxe buys you exclusively cosmetic content — no gameplay advantages, no extra maps, no additional classes. Every player has access to the same extraction loop, the same classes, and the same seasonal content regardless of which edition they own.

The Forsaken Skeleton outfit is a standout legendary set, and the 2,500 Fate Coins have lasting value for the cosmetic shop. If you care about how your character looks between runs, the Deluxe Edition is a reasonable investment.
