Who Is Noelle in Genshin Impact?

Noelle is a 4-star Geo Claymore character from Mondstadt in Genshin Impact. She is one of the very first characters all players meet — guaranteed from the Beginner’s Wish Banner, where she is given to every new Traveler within the first 8 wishes. She is available to every player without spending a single limited wish or Primogem, making her one of the most universally accessible characters in the game.

Lore-wise, Noelle is the diligent and warm-hearted maid of the Knights of Favonius. She works with incredible dedication at the Knights’ headquarters, cleaning, cooking, repairing equipment, and completing any task asked of her with a smile. More than anything, she dreams of one day being accepted as a full Knight of Favonius — a dream she pursues with endless persistence, even as she repeatedly falls just short of the Knights’ admission standards. Her gentle determination and refusal to give up have made her one of the most beloved characters among the Genshin player community.

In combat, Noelle is unlike most characters. She provides a shield through her Elemental Skill, heals the whole team through her Normal Attacks when the shield is active, and deals large AoE Geo DMG during her Elemental Burst. She scales on DEF for both her defensive abilities and her damage output — especially at her sixth constellation. Players who invest in her often find she can carry entire teams solo through her combination of durability and steady damage. You can play her on Android, iOS, PlayStation, Epic Games, and Xbox.

For building the best teams around Noelle, check out the Gorou character guide — he is one of her strongest support partners — and the Furina character guide, who dramatically amplifies Noelle’s damage output when paired together.

    Noelle Skills and Abilities

Normal Attack – Favonius Bladework — Maid

Noelle performs up to 4 consecutive Claymore strikes in her normal attack chain, each dealing Physical DMG (or Geo DMG during her Burst). Her Charged Attack drains Stamina to perform continuous spinning sweeps hitting all nearby enemies, ending with a more powerful final slash. Her Plunging Attack deals AoE DMG on landing. During her Burst, all Normal and Charged Attacks deal Geo DMG instead of Physical, and gain a significantly wider AoE. This is what makes her Burst rotations so powerful for clearing groups of enemies.

One important combo note: the 4th hit of Noelle’s Normal Attack combo has a recovery animation and can launch lighter enemies out of range. Dashing or hopping after the 3rd hit (N1 → N2 → N3 → dash, repeat) cancels this recovery and keeps enemies in range, which is the preferred combo for most DPS rotations.

    Elemental Skill – Breastplate

Noelle summons her protective stone armor, dealing Geo DMG to nearby enemies and creating a shield around herself. The shield has two important properties:

    • Shield strength scales based on Noelle’s DEF. The higher her DEF, the more damage the shield can absorb before breaking. The shield also has 250% absorption efficiency against Geo DMG, meaning it is exceptionally strong against Geo attacks.
    • Healing chance: While the shield is active, Noelle’s Normal and Charged Attacks have a chance to regenerate HP for all party members — both on-field and off-field. The amount healed per proc scales with her DEF. At C1, during her Elemental Burst, this healing chance becomes 100%, ensuring every hit heals the team.

The shield is Noelle only and does not extend to teammates — only she is protected. However, the healing that triggers through it benefits everyone in the party. The Skill has a cooldown of 24 seconds and the shield lasts 12 seconds, leaving a gap in coverage at C0. With C1, during the Burst, the healing becomes guaranteed which partly compensates for this gap.

    Elemental Burst – Sweeping Time

Noelle gathers the strength of stone around her Claymore and performs a massive spinning sweep that deals Geo DMG to all surrounding enemies in a large AoE. After the initial sweep, she enters an enhanced state for the duration where:

    • All of her Normal and Charged Attacks are infused with Geo element and deal Geo DMG.
    • The AoE of her attacks increases dramatically, hitting everything nearby with each swing.
    • Her ATK is increased by a percentage of her DEF for the duration of the Burst.

The DEF-to-ATK conversion during the Burst is the core of Noelle’s damage identity. Because she converts DEF into ATK, stacking as much DEF as possible during the Burst window simultaneously makes her harder to kill and makes her hit harder. At C6, this conversion is 50% of DEF added to ATK, which can result in very high ATK values from DEF alone at high investment levels.

    Noelle Passive Talents

    A1 Passive – Devotion

When Noelle is in the party but not the active character, she has a 35% chance to create a shield equal to 24% of her Max HP when another party member takes a hit and their HP drops below 30%. This shield lasts for 20 seconds with a 60-second cooldown. This passive gives Noelle a safety net role even when she is not on the field, protecting teammates who are about to die. It is a passive emergency shield that works automatically without any input from the player.

A4 Passive – Nice and Clean

Every 4 Normal or Charged Attack hits that Noelle makes decreases the cooldown of Breastplate (Elemental Skill) by 1 second. In combat, Noelle lands many hits rapidly, so this passive regularly reduces her Skill cooldown by several seconds per rotation. This helps close the gap between the Skill’s cooldown (24 seconds) and the shield’s duration (12 seconds), improving overall shield and healing uptime.

    Utility Passive – Maid’s Knighthood

When Noelle achieves a Perfect Cooking result on a DEF-boosting dish, she has a 12% chance to obtain double the product. This is a small cooking bonus that can be helpful for stocking up on DEF food before difficult content. DEF-boosting dishes help cover Noelle’s own DEF breakpoints for her Burst’s ATK conversion.

    Noelle Constellations Guide

Noelle’s constellations have a clear power spike pattern: most are comfort upgrades, but C1 and C6 are transformative improvements that meaningfully change her performance.

    C1 – Full Plate

While both Sweeping Time (Burst) and Breastplate (Skill) are simultaneously active, the healing chance from Breastplate’s shield increases to 100%. This means every single Normal and Charged Attack during the Burst window is guaranteed to heal the team. Before C1, the base healing chance is only 55% in ideal conditions, which means many hits do not heal. At C1, the healing becomes completely reliable during her most important combat window. C1 is one of her most impactful constellations and makes her significantly more valuable as a self-sustaining unit.

    C2 – Plunging Support

Decreases the Stamina consumption of Noelle’s Charged Attacks by 20% and increases her Charged Attack DMG by 15%. This constellation makes spinning Charged Attacks a more viable damage option and pairs well with Redhorn Stonethresher’s passive, which boosts Normal and Charged Attack DMG based on DEF. A useful comfort upgrade for players who want to incorporate Charged Attacks into her rotation.

    C3 – Skill Level Upgrade

Increases the Level of Breastplate (Elemental Skill) by 3, up to a maximum of Level 15. Raises the shield’s absorption value and the heal-per-hit amount, both of which scale with her DEF. More shield durability and stronger heals per proc.

    C4 – To Be a Maid

When Breastplate’s duration expires naturally or is destroyed by taking too much damage, it deals 400% of Noelle’s ATK as Geo DMG to surrounding opponents. This adds a satisfying damage burst whenever her shield breaks or runs out, incentivizing players to let the shield expire in the middle of combat for bonus AoE Geo damage.

    C5 – Burst Level Upgrade

Increases the Level of Sweeping Time (Elemental Burst) by 3, up to a maximum of Level 15. A direct boost to the Burst’s initial AoE sweep DMG and the DEF-to-ATK conversion percentage during the Burst window. This is significant because leveling the Burst increases the DEF-to-ATK ratio, which directly improves her main DPS window. C5 meaningfully increases Noelle’s damage output and is worth pursuing for players who want to use her as a Main DPS.

    C6 – Must Be Spotless

This is Noelle’s defining constellation and the reason she is widely considered a viable Main DPS. C6 gives Sweeping Time two major upgrades:

    • Noelle’s ATK is increased by an additional 50% of her DEF during the Burst. This stacks on top of the Burst’s base DEF-to-ATK conversion, dramatically increasing her total ATK from DEF alone.
    • Every opponent defeated during Sweeping Time’s duration extends its duration by 1 second, up to a maximum of 10 additional seconds. This effectively doubles the Burst’s window in content with enough enemies to kill.

At C6, Noelle’s damage scales almost entirely from DEF. A character with 3,000+ DEF can reach very high ATK values through the conversion, enabling her to deal competitive damage that outclasses many other 4-star characters. The Burst extension also means her Geo sweeps can last 20+ seconds in AoE content, covering an enormous amount of combat time.

    Noelle Best Build – Artifacts

Best Artifact Set for C6 – 4-Piece Husk of Opulent Dreams

This is Noelle’s best artifact set at C6. The 4-piece set provides:

    • 2-piece: DEF +30%.
    • 4-piece: After the equipped character deals Geo DMG or is off-field, they gain Curiosity stacks that increase DEF and Geo DMG Bonus. Up to 4 stacks, each providing +6% DEF and +6% Geo DMG Bonus — for a total of +24% DEF and +24% Geo DMG Bonus at max stacks.

Since Noelle deals Geo DMG consistently during her Burst and can build stacks while off-field between rotations, she reaches maximum Curiosity stacks easily. The massive DEF stacking from this set directly increases her ATK at C6, making it uniquely powerful for her kit. Farm this set from the Slumbering Court domain in Inazuma.

Best Artifact Set Before C6 – 4-Piece Husk of Opulent Dreams or 4-Piece Gladiator’s Finale

Before C6, Noelle still benefits from DEF% and Geo DMG Bonus from Husk, though the DEF-to-ATK conversion rate is lower. 4-piece Gladiator’s Finale (ATK% and Normal Attack DMG Bonus) is a viable alternative for players who have good pieces and are not yet at C6. At C0–C5, an ATK-focused build can compete with a DEF build since the Burst’s DEF conversion is less dramatic at lower constellation levels.

Alternative – 4-Piece Marechaussee Hunter (With Furina)

In teams with Furina, Furina’s Salon Members drain HP from party members. This HP fluctuation triggers Marechaussee Hunter’s 4-piece bonus, which stacks up to +36% CRIT Rate and +12% Phys DMG Bonus on normal and charged attacks. In Noelle’s case, the CRIT Rate stacking is extremely valuable and this set outperforms Husk in specific Furina team compositions. The caveat is that you need both Furina and a healer to prevent the HP drain from becoming dangerous.

Alternative – 4-Piece Archaic Petra (Support Build)

If running Noelle as an on-field driver or support rather than a Main DPS, 4-piece Archaic Petra buffs the team when Noelle picks up a Crystallize shard — granting the corresponding element’s characters +35% Elemental DMG Bonus for 10 seconds. This works well when Noelle is enabling off-field DPS characters rather than being the primary damage dealer herself.

    Artifact Main Stats

    At C6:

    • Sands: DEF%
    • Goblet: Geo DMG Bonus
    • Circlet: CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG (aim for a 1:2 ratio)

    Before C6 (C0–C5):

    • Sands: ATK% or DEF% (ATK% slightly ahead before C6)
    • Goblet: Geo DMG Bonus
    • Circlet: CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG

    Artifact Substats Priority

CRIT Rate / CRIT DMG > Energy Recharge > DEF% (at C6) or ATK% (before C6). Energy Recharge is important — Noelle generates no Geo particles from her own Skill, so she depends entirely on other Geo teammates for Burst Energy. With a Geo battery like Gorou or Albedo and at least one Favonius weapon on a support, approximately 120–130% ER is the minimum target. Without Geo teammates, push ER higher (160%+) or accept that the Burst will not be available every rotation.

    Noelle Best Weapons

    1. Redhorn Stonethresher (5-Star) – Best in Slot

This is Arataki Itto’s signature weapon but it fits Noelle equally well. It provides a massive CRIT DMG substat and a passive that increases DEF by 28% and boosts Normal and Charged Attack DMG by 40% of the character’s DEF. At C6, this passive converts even more DEF into attack DMG, stacking multiplicatively with Noelle’s Burst conversion. The combination of CRIT DMG, raw DEF bonus, and DEF-to-Normal/Charged-Attack scaling makes this weapon exceptional for Noelle’s kit. If you have it on Itto, you may need to decide which character needs it more.

    2. Serpent Spine (4-Star, Battle Pass)

One of Noelle’s best accessible weapons. Serpent Spine provides CRIT Rate as a substat and stacks DMG% over time while on the field. Since Noelle is an on-field character who stays on-field during her Burst window, she can maintain full Serpent Spine stacks reliably. Her Breastplate shield and teammates’ shields help preserve stacks from breaking. At R5, this weapon is highly competitive with many 5-star options.

    3. Whiteblind (4-Star, Craftable) – Best Free Option

The best free-to-play weapon for Noelle, obtainable by all players via the Blacksmith using Billet materials. Whiteblind provides DEF% as a substat and stacks ATK% and DEF% per Normal or Charged Attack hit. Since Noelle attacks rapidly in her Burst window, she reaches max stacks (4) very quickly. At R5, Whiteblind is a genuinely strong weapon that covers both her DEF needs and her ATK. Craft it as soon as you have enough materials — it is her go-to weapon for any player who does not have Redhorn or Serpent Spine.

    4. Skyward Pride (5-Star)

Provides Energy Recharge and a vacuum blade passive that deals additional damage on Normal and Charged Attacks. The ER substat directly addresses Noelle’s biggest weakness (Energy generation) while the vacuum blades deal Physical DMG that adds extra hits. A good option when ER is a concern and you do not have other solutions for Burst uptime.

    5. Favonius Greatsword (4-Star)

Provides Energy Recharge and generates extra Elemental Particles on CRIT hits, which benefits the whole team. This is the best choice when Noelle is playing as the sole Geo character in the team and has no other Energy support — the ER substat and particle generation can keep her Burst available without teammates to battery her.

    6. Beacon of the Reed Sea (5-Star)

Provides CRIT Rate and stacks ATK% after using the Elemental Skill or when not shielded. The CRIT Rate substat is useful even if the passive conditions are not always ideal for Noelle. A decent premium stat stick if you have it available.

    Noelle Best Teams

Noelle needs at least one other Geo character to generate enough Elemental Particles for her Burst. She benefits enormously from Geo Resonance, which increases her shield strength and the team’s overall DMG while shielded. Her best teams all share a Geo battery alongside her, with flex slots for buffers or healers.

Mono Geo Premium Team – Best Overall

    • Main DPS: Noelle (C6)
    • Geo Buffer: Gorou (DEF buff + Geo DMG Bonus)
    • Geo Sub-DPS: Albedo (off-field Geo damage + Geo particles)
    • Buffer: Furina or Zhongli

This is Noelle’s best performing team at C6. Gorou provides her with large DEF buffs and Geo DMG Bonus, dramatically increasing her Burst damage. Albedo generates off-field Geo damage and Geo particles that fund both Gorou’s and Noelle’s Bursts. Furina in the flex slot provides a massive team-wide DMG Bonus through Fanfare. With C1 Furina, the DMG% buff combined with Gorou’s DEF buffs and Noelle’s C6 DEF-to-ATK conversion creates exceptionally high damage output. Zhongli can replace Furina for more raw shield durability and Geo RES shred if survival is prioritized over damage.

Noelle + Gorou Core Team (F2P Friendly)

    • Main DPS: Noelle (C6 recommended)
    • Geo Buffer/Battery: Gorou
    • Geo Sub-DPS: Ningguang or Geo Traveler
    • Healer/Buffer: Bennett

A more accessible version of the Geo team. Gorou still provides his DEF buffs, and Ningguang or the Geo Traveler fill the third Geo slot to activate Gorou’s maximum buffs (Gorou needs 3 Geo characters in the party for full buffs). Bennett provides ATK buff and healing. This team is entirely achievable without pulling limited 5-star characters and still delivers strong results at C6 Noelle.

    Double Geo Team with Furina

    • Main DPS: Noelle
    • Geo Battery: Zhongli (shields + Geo RES shred)
    • Buffer: Furina
    • ATK Buffer: Bennett

Zhongli provides Geo RES shred and a near-indestructible shield that keeps Serpent Spine stacks at maximum. Furina’s DMG% buff massively amplifies Noelle’s Burst damage window. Bennett provides ATK buff and healing, counteracting Furina’s HP drain. This team does not have three Geo characters for Gorou’s maximum DEF buff but compensates with stronger general buffs from Furina and Zhongli’s RES shred.

    Itto and Noelle Geo Team

    • Primary DPS: Arataki Itto
    • Secondary DPS: Noelle (swaps with Itto)
    • Geo Buffer: Gorou
    • Geo Sub-DPS: Albedo

Noelle and Itto share field time in this Mono Geo team. When Itto’s Burst is on cooldown, Noelle uses her own Burst to continue dealing Geo damage. Gorou buffs both of them simultaneously, and Albedo provides off-field Geo damage. This team creates near-constant Geo DPS output as Itto and Noelle alternate their Burst windows.

    Solo Geo Noelle (Beginner/Emergency)

    • Main DPS: Noelle
    • Healer: Barbara or any healer
    • Flex: Any two support or sub-DPS characters

This is the configuration most new players run before they have a dedicated Geo battery. Without other Geo characters, Noelle needs significantly more Energy Recharge in her build (160%+) to use her Burst consistently. Her damage is notably lower here, but her shield and healing make her still very survivable. Add a second Geo character as soon as possible to dramatically improve this setup.

    Noelle Ascension Materials

Here is the complete list of everything needed to fully ascend Noelle to Level 90:

    Noelle Ascension Materials List

    • Prithiva Topaz Sliver x1
    • Prithiva Topaz Fragment x9
    • Prithiva Topaz Chunk x9
    • Prithiva Topaz Gemstone x6
    • Valberry x168 (Local Specialty)
    • Basalt Pillar x46 (Boss Drop)
    • Damaged Mask x18
    • Stained Mask x30
    • Ominous Mask x36
    • 420,000 Mora

Where to Get Noelle’s Ascension Materials

Valberry is Noelle’s Mondstadt local specialty. These small red berries grow in clusters of four on their plants. They are found primarily in the Stormbearer Mountains and Stormbearer Point area north of Mondstadt. Additional Valberry patches grow around the Cape Oath area. A limited number can be purchased from the traveling merchant Chloris who walks near Windrise in Mondstadt (up to 5 per 3 days). Valberry can also be grown in the Serenitea Pot using seeds purchased from the Realm Depot, making it one of the more farmable specialties in the game.

Basalt Pillar is dropped by the Geo Hypostasis, a world boss located on the rocky islands of Guyun Stone Forest in Liyue. Bring at least one non-Geo character to destroy the pillars the boss summons during its revival phase — Geo damage cannot break them. The Geo Hypostasis also drops Prithiva Topaz, making it efficient to farm both materials simultaneously. However, the Geo Hypostasis drops Vajrada Amethyst (Electro gems) and Prithiva Topaz depending on RNG — plan to use the Alchemy Bench to convert as needed.

Hilichurl Masks (Damaged Mask, Stained Mask, Ominous Mask) are dropped by all types of Hilichurl enemies — the most common enemies in the game. Hilichurls, Samachurls, Mitachurls, and Lawachurls all drop these. They are found everywhere across Teyvat and are trivial to farm in large quantities.

Prithiva Topaz gems can be obtained from the Geo Hypostasis, the Primo Geovishap, and various other Geo-affiliated bosses. Use Dust of Azoth at the Alchemy Bench to convert other gem types if needed.

    Noelle Talent Materials

Here is the complete list needed to fully upgrade all three of Noelle’s talents to Level 10:

    Noelle Talent Materials List

    • Teachings of Resistance x9
    • Guide to Resistance x63
    • Philosophies of Resistance x114
    • Shard of a Foul Legacy x18 (Weekly Boss Drop)
    • Damaged Mask x18
    • Stained Mask x66
    • Ominous Mask x93
    • Crown of Insight x3 (to fully crown all 3 talents)

Where to Get Noelle’s Talent Materials

Resistance Talent Books (Teachings, Guide, and Philosophies of Resistance) are obtained from the Forsaken Rift Domain in Mondstadt. This domain is open on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays only. Noelle shares this talent book series with Razor, Fischl, and Mona. The domain contains Cryo enemies, so bring Pyro characters for efficient clears.

Shard of a Foul Legacy is Noelle’s weekly boss drop — the same material used by Tartaglia. It is obtained by defeating Tartaglia (Childe) as a Weekly Boss in the Golden House domain in Liyue. This boss has three phases and is one of the more engaging weekly boss encounters in the game. It becomes accessible after completing the Liyue Archon Quest, or through Quick Challenge in the Adventurer Handbook. Dream Solvents can convert other Golden House drops into Shards of a Foul Legacy.

    Noelle Talent Upgrade Priority

    • 1st Priority: Normal Attack – Favonius Bladework — Maid. This governs the damage scaling of her Normal and Charged Attacks during the Burst window. Since the Burst infuses all her attacks with Geo, the Normal Attack talent is what determines her actual DPS multipliers. Always level this first.
    • 2nd Priority: Elemental Burst – Sweeping Time. The Burst’s talent level affects the initial AoE sweep damage and the DEF-to-ATK conversion rate during the Burst. More important than the Skill since the Burst is when most of her damage happens. Level this second.
    • 3rd Priority: Elemental Skill – Breastplate. The Skill’s talent level raises the shield absorption and heal-per-proc values, both of which scale with DEF. These are important for survivability but have less direct impact on DPS than the other two talents. Level this last. Note: the heal percentage scales with Skill talent level, so do not entirely neglect it if survivability is a concern.

    Noelle Pros and Cons

    Pros

    • Free for all players through the Beginner’s Wish Banner — no limited Primogems needed to obtain her.
    • Combines shielding, teamwide healing, and AoE Geo DPS in a single character — exceptional role compression for a 4-star.
    • DEF scaling means the same stat improves her shield strength, healing output, and (at C6) her damage simultaneously.
    • Very comfortable to play — the built-in healing and shield make her one of the safest on-field DPS characters in the game.
    • Strong in both single-target and multi-target content during her Burst window.
    • C6 Burst duration extension from kills can make her Geo sweeps last 20+ seconds in AoE content.
    • Constellations are obtainable from Paimon’s Bargains with Starglitter, making C6 achievable for dedicated players over time.

    Cons

    • Requires C6 to reach her full DPS potential — before C6, her damage is noticeably lower compared to 5-star alternatives.
    • Generates no Geo particles from her Skill, making her entirely dependent on teammates for Burst Energy.
    • High Burst Energy cost (60 Energy) is difficult to sustain without a dedicated Geo battery support.
    • Shield protects only Noelle herself — it does not extend to other party members.
    • Does not access strong Elemental Reactions like Vaporize or Melt, limiting her reaction-based damage potential compared to non-Geo DPS options.
    • Investment into Noelle yields comparatively lower returns than investing into her teammates in competitive content.

    Tips for Playing Noelle

    • Always use the Burst before attacking: Noelle’s biggest hits all happen during Sweeping Time. Use her Burst immediately when it is available and spend as many hits as possible in the Burst window. At C6, kill enemies to extend the duration even further.
    • Cancel the 4th Normal Attack recovery: The 4th hit of Noelle’s Normal combo has a long recovery animation and can knock lighter enemies out of range. Dash or hop after the 3rd hit (N1 → N2 → N3 → dash) to cancel the recovery and keep enemies in your swing range. This N3 dash cancel is the most efficient DPS combo for multi-target situations.
    • Build a Geo battery: Do not run Noelle as the only Geo character on your team if possible. Gorou, Albedo, Ningguang, or even Geo Traveler all generate Geo particles for Noelle. One teammate with a Favonius weapon further reduces the ER requirements on Noelle’s artifacts.
    • Stack DEF at C6: At C6, DEF is Noelle’s most important stat for both damage and survivability. Prioritize DEF% on your Sands, invest in Husk of Opulent Dreams for its stacking DEF bonus, and make sure Gorou is in your team if possible for his substantial DEF% buff.
    • Use Breastplate before entering combat: Pre-activating the shield before a fight ensures you enter combat with the healing-on-hit proc already available. At C1, during the Burst, every hit heals — so getting the Burst up quickly is the primary objective.
    • With Furina, use Marechaussee Hunter: If you have Furina in the team, her Salon Members drain HP from the party, which triggers Marechaussee Hunter’s CRIT Rate stacking. This set can provide up to +36% CRIT Rate on Noelle’s attacks, dramatically improving her damage ceiling in this specific team composition.

    Is Noelle Worth Building?

Yes — especially for newer players and F2P-focused players, Noelle is absolutely worth building. She is genuinely unique in the game: a character who can independently provide shielding, healing, and AoE Geo DPS all at once. For players who have been running her as a starter character and have collected her constellations from Paimon’s Bargains over time, a C6 Noelle with Whiteblind and Husk of Opulent Dreams can carry players through the vast majority of game content without needing expensive premium pulls.

For players with a wider roster and access to premium 5-star characters, Noelle’s place becomes more niche — she works best as a secondary Geo DPS in Geo team compositions alongside Gorou, Albedo, and Arataki Itto. Pairing her with Furina or Zhongli also elevates her performance significantly. Overall, she remains one of the most beloved and accessible characters in Genshin Impact and continues to be relevant in the current meta for the right team builds. Also look at Navia and Chiori for other strong Geo DPS characters to complement or compare with Noelle.

Frequently Asked Questions About Noelle in Genshin Impact

    Is Noelle good without C6?

She is playable and useful before C6, especially as a shielder and healer, but her DPS potential is significantly lower. Before C6, the DEF-to-ATK conversion during her Burst is a fraction of what it becomes at C6, and the healing chance during the Burst is not guaranteed without C1. For casual content and story quests, C0–C5 Noelle works fine. For Spiral Abyss and challenging content, C6 is strongly recommended to bring her to her full damage potential.

How do I get Noelle’s constellations?

Noelle’s Stella Fortuna is obtainable from Paimon’s Bargains using Masterless Starglitter. She appears in the shop in February and August each year. Pulling duplicate copies of her from banners where she appears as a bonus 4-star also provides constellations. Since Paimon’s Bargains restocks regularly, patient players can collect all 6 constellations over time without needing to pull for her specifically.

What is the best weapon for Noelle as a new player?

Whiteblind is the best free option and can be crafted at the Blacksmith using Claymore Billets. It provides DEF% and stacks ATK% and DEF% during combat. Farm for Claymore Billets from Geo bosses or the Battle Pass and craft it at Refinement 1 immediately — even a single copy outperforms most other 4-star options for Noelle.

    Does Noelle’s shield protect teammates?

No — Noelle’s Breastplate shield only protects herself. Her A1 passive can create a small emergency shield for off-field characters who drop below 30% HP, but this is a safety net, not reliable protection. The main team-wide defensive benefit Noelle provides is healing through her Normal Attacks (when the shield is active), not a shared shield. Characters like Zhongli or Layla provide party-wide shields if that is the priority.

How much Energy Recharge does Noelle need?

With a dedicated Geo battery (Gorou, Albedo, or Geo Traveler) and at least one Favonius weapon on a support, approximately 120–130% ER is sufficient. Without any Geo teammates, 160%+ ER may be needed to maintain Burst uptime. Do not sacrifice significant DEF or CRIT stats just for ER — getting a Geo partner is more efficient than stacking ER in most cases.
