The Trembling Voice is tied to a specific abandoned house in Everfrozen Earth, the central sub-region of Snezhnaya where the capital city Snezhnograd is located. The house sits east of the Inverted Glacier Domain.
To reach it, you need to:
- Complete Archon Quest Prologue: Act III – Song of the Dragon and Freedom to access Snezhnaya and receive the Eye of Graeae.
- Progress through Archon Quest Chapter VII: Act I – Everwinter Without Mercy to unlock Snezhnayan exploration and world quests.
- Travel to Everfrozen Earth and head east of the Inverted Glacier Domain to locate the abandoned house. As you approach it, you will hear a faint voice asking for help against the cold — this is the Trembling Voice that triggers the puzzle.
How to Complete the Trembling Voice Puzzle — Step by Step
Step 1 — Enter the House and Light the Fire
Go inside the abandoned house. You will find a fireplace that has gone cold. Use a Pyro character to light it — any Pyro attack aimed at the fireplace will do the job. The Trembling Voice reacts with relief, but quickly complains that it is still too cold even with the fire going. This is because the house has gaps in its walls letting freezing Snezhnayan air in.
Step 2 — Seal the Wall Gaps with Cube Constructs
Open your Prime Ice Construct menu and look at the walls of the house. You will see gaps on each side letting the cold air through. Build Cube Prime Ice Constructs to fill and seal these gaps. There are two gaps on each affected wall. Place a Cube in each opening until all the gaps are covered.
Once the gaps are sealed, the house starts holding warmth properly and the Trembling Voice settles down — briefly.
Step 3 — Place a Second Chair at the Table
The Trembling Voice begins reminiscing about its grandmother, recalling how she would always ask it to sit down. As it speaks, a temporary blueprint for a chair appears in the house. Pick up the blueprint and use the Prime Ice Construct menu to create a second chair on the opposite side of the table from the one already there. This recreates the warm memory the voice is describing and moves the encounter forward.
Step 4 — Relight the Fire
After the chair is placed, the fire goes out again. Use your Pyro character to light the fireplace a second time. The voice reacts warmly and then begins thinking about a present it remembers from its childhood, kept somewhere in the upper part of the house.
Step 5 — Collect the Gift Blueprint from the Top Floor
Head up to the second or top floor of the abandoned house. There you will find a gift blueprint waiting for you. Pick it up, then come back down to the main room. Use the Prime Ice Construct menu to place the gift construct on the table inside the house. This recreates the memory the Trembling Voice is longing for.
Step 6 — Dismantle the Gift to Open It
When the Trembling Voice asks you to open the present, do not use a regular attack. Instead, select the gift construct and choose to dismantle it from the Prime Ice Construct menu. Dismantling it counts as “opening” the present. This triggers the Exquisite Chest to spawn — open it to collect your first round of rewards including Primogems and materials.
Step 7 — Relight the Fire and Follow the Seelie
After the chest opens, the fire goes out a third time. Use your Pyro character to light it once more. As soon as the flame is back, a Seelie appears inside the house and flies out through the door. This is a familiar Genshin mechanic — you need to follow it.
Chase the Seelie outside and around the abandoned house. It will lead you upward, flying toward the roof and then continuing higher into the air. Use wind currents nearby to gain altitude, and glide between platforms as needed. The Seelie will wait for you at each stop, so take your time reaching it. Keep climbing until you reach a platform above the rooftop where the Seelie has stopped.
Step 8 — Guide the Seelie to the Monument
At the top, you will see a monument or Seelie court. Bring the Seelie to this monument — stand close to it so the Seelie can complete its journey and come to rest. Once it reaches the monument, the Visions in the Match achievement unlocks, awarding you Primogems from the achievement system.
Step 9 — Return to the House for the Precious Chest
After the achievement triggers, head back down into the abandoned house. A Precious Chest has now spawned inside the building. Open it for the final set of rewards — more Primogems, level-up materials, and other useful items.

Tips for the Trembling Voice Puzzle
- Bring a Pyro character. You will need to relight the fire three times throughout the encounter. Any Pyro attack works — Bennett, Xiangling, Amber, or any other Pyro unit will get the job done without needing special setup.
- Check your Kresnik Energy before entering. You need enough to build multiple Cube constructs for the wall gaps, a chair, and a gift. Fill your Eye of Graeae from Mini Kresnik Torches or Kresnik Kristall Ores outside before starting.
- Dismantle the gift — do not attack it. The game wants you to open the present by dismantling the construct through the Prime Ice Construct menu, not by hitting it with your weapon. Using the dismantle option is what registers the action correctly.
- The Seelie will wait for you. During the Seelie chase sequence, it pauses at each platform and waits until you arrive before moving again. Take as much time as you need to navigate the wind currents and reach each stopping point.
- Use gliding and wind currents for the climb. The Seelie leads you above the rooftop to a fairly high platform. The wind currents around the house help with altitude — use them to avoid stamina drain from climbing and reach the monument more easily.
- Remember to return for the Precious Chest. After the achievement unlocks at the top, it is easy to forget to go back inside the house. The Precious Chest only spawns once the Seelie reaches the monument — so collect it before leaving the area.
