TL;DR
- Banje is a hidden Local Legend found underground in Svetloledovka, Snezhnaya.
- Use Electro attacks to fill its indicator and force it into giant form.
- Interrupt its super energy blast using a Stellar-Conduct reaction — raw damage alone will not stop it.
- Finish Banje while it is in its miniature form to complete the third objective.
- All three objectives give 60 Primogems total — 20 per task.
- Best team: Cryo Traveler, Diona, Yae Miko, and Qiqi or any Stellar-Conduct lineup.
Banje Local Legend in Genshin Impact is one of the three Snezhnaya Local Legends added in Version 7.0. It hides beneath an icy pathway in Svetloledovka and has a unique two-phase fight that revolves around forcing it into a giant form using Electro, then interrupting its super energy blast with a Stellar-Conduct reaction. Done right, all three Valiant Chronicles objectives clear in a single run and you walk away with 60 Primogems. This guide covers how to find Banje, how to reach its underground arena, how to beat it, and how to complete all three objectives without failing them. For a full overview of all three Snezhnaya Local Legends and how to earn all 180 Primogems, see our All Local Legends in Snezhnaya guide. Who Is Banje?
Banje is a creature created through bio-alchemy that once flourished in Snezhnaya. Back in that era, researchers pieced together the elements of life as though they were puzzle pieces on the ground, combining them as they pleased. Most of their experiments violated the laws of the world and perished. Banje is among the few that survived. It lurks in the dark, fixing a vacant gaze on its prey as it moves silently through rock, earth, ice, and snow. It may be the most cunning of all the bio-alchemic creatures that still remain in the world today. Despite its unassuming appearance in its miniature form, it hides tremendous power beneath the surface.
Where to Find Banje in Genshin Impact
Banje is located in an underground area beneath Svetloledovka in Snezhnaya. It is not visible on the surface, which is why many players miss it entirely. Here is exactly how to reach the arena:
- Open your map and teleport to the central Teleport Waypoint in Svetloledovka.
- From the waypoint, head down into the valley and descend until you reach the bottom.
- Look for an entrance into the underground section. Follow the path inside.
- Continue along the underground path until you reach a second Teleport Waypoint inside.
- Banje’s arena is located right next to that second underground waypoint.
Once you unlock the underground Teleport Waypoint during your first visit, returning for subsequent attempts after daily resets becomes much faster. You can teleport almost directly to the arena instead of making the full descent again.
How to Unlock Banje in the Valiant Chronicles
Banje is tracked through the Snezhnaya Valiant Chronicles system. To access it, visit Katheryne at the Adventurer’s Guild after entering Snezhnaya. You need to be at least Adventure Rank 55 to use the Valiant Chronicles. Once registered, Banje’s location is pinned on your map alongside its three objectives. You can track your progress from the Valiant Chronicles menu at any time to see which tasks are still incomplete.

How to Beat Banje
Banje has a two-phase fight. Understanding both phases is the key to clearing all three objectives cleanly in a single run.
Phase 1 – Miniature Form
Banje starts the fight in its small, miniature form. In this state, it moves around and attacks normally. Your job here is to hit it repeatedly with Electro attacks. Banje has a visible indicator that fills as you apply Electro to it. Keep applying Electro consistently until the indicator is full. Once it fills up, Banje transforms and swells into its giant form. Do not try to kill Banje in this phase — doing so will cause you to miss the third objective, which requires you to finish it while it is back in the miniature form.
Phase 2 – Giant Form
When Banje enters giant form, it becomes much larger and slower. This is where the two most important objectives happen. Banje moves slower in this state, which makes it easier to dodge its regular attacks. However, at a certain point during the giant phase, it begins charging a super energy blast. This attack hits hard enough to one-shot a low-HP DPS character. You cannot tank or out-damage this charge. The only reliable method to stop it is to trigger a Stellar-Conduct reaction while the charge is building up.
After the blast attempt — whether interrupted or not — Banje shrinks back to its miniature form. This is your window to complete the final objective.
Phase 3 – Back to Miniature Form
Once Banje returns to its small form, hold your burst damage and wait for it to fully settle into the miniature state. Then unleash your strongest hits and defeat it. This completes the third objective and ends the fight. If you accidentally kill Banje while it is still in giant form, the third objective will not register. Keep some damage in reserve so you do not overshoot during the giant phase.
All Three Banje Objectives
Each objective awards 20 Primogems when completed. You can clear all three in a single run if you follow the correct sequence.
- Objective 1 – Defeat Banje: Simply bring Banje’s HP to zero. This is the baseline requirement and always registers as long as you win the fight.
- Objective 2 – Interrupt the Super Energy Blast: Trigger a Stellar-Conduct reaction while Banje is charging its blast during the giant phase. The reaction stops the charge and completes this objective. Raw damage cannot interrupt the blast — only the reaction works.
- Objective 3 – Defeat Banje in Its Miniature Form: Wait for Banje to shrink back after the blast phase, then deal the finishing blow while it is in its small state. If you defeat it in giant form, this objective fails for that run.
Total Primogems from Banje: 60
Best Team for Banje
Because Objective 2 specifically requires a Stellar-Conduct reaction to interrupt the super energy blast, you must bring a team that can actually produce this reaction. Not every party can do it. A team of Flins, Columbina, Ineffa, and Lauma was confirmed to fail the interrupt, meaning teams without proper Stellar-Conduct capability will not clear Objective 2.
The recommended team that reliably interrupts the blast is:
- Cryo Traveler
- Diona
- Yae Miko
- Qiqi
A Sandrone-based team composition also works well for this fight. The core principle is the same: you need consistent Cryo and Electro application from your party to trigger Stellar-Conduct at the right moment. Check out our character pages for Diona, Yae Miko, and Qiqi for build tips that will help you optimize your team before attempting this fight. If you are using the Cryo Traveler, the Stellar Conduct build guide has useful team setup details.
Tips for Completing All Three Objectives
- Do not kill Banje in Phase 1. Focus only on filling the Electro indicator with Electro attacks. Save your burst damage for Phase 3.
- Watch the super energy blast animation closely. The moment it starts charging, trigger your Stellar-Conduct reaction immediately. Waiting too long causes the blast to fire and the objective will be missed.
- Keep some damage in reserve during the giant phase. If you accidentally deal too much damage and Banje dies while still large, Objective 3 fails. Hold your biggest hits for after it shrinks.
- Do not dodge away during the blast charge. Dodging without interrupting the reaction means the blast fires and the objective does not register.
- Banje respawns every daily server reset. If you miss an objective in one run, come back the next day and retry. Completed objectives carry over, so you only need to repeat the ones you missed.
- After your first visit, use the underground Teleport Waypoint near the arena for fast access on repeat attempts.
What Happens If You Fail an Objective?
Failing an objective in a single run does not lock you out permanently. Banje resets at the daily server reset like all other Local Legends. You can return the next day and attempt the missing objective again. Each completed objective stays marked in the Valiant Chronicles, so you only need to finish the ones still outstanding. If you miss Objective 2 because your team could not produce Stellar-Conduct, switch to a team that can before your next attempt.
Other Snezhnaya Local Legends
Banje is one of three Local Legends in Snezhnaya, all part of the Snezhnaya Valiant Chronicles. The other two are Churin in Fellfrost Peak and Furiosa in Everfrozen Earth.
