Damiane is one of the most visually distinct characters in Crimson Desert, and her armor options reflect that — she has unique pieces that Kliff and Oongka simply cannot wear. Her most popular outfit is the Elegant Carmine Leather Armor, a black and red leather skirt with solid combat stats and one of the cleanest looks in the game.
Getting it is not obvious at all. It is locked behind a hidden blueprint deep in a late-game ruin, and the game gives you no direct hint that it even exists. This guide walks through every step so you can get it done in one clean trip.
About Damiane and Her Armor
Damiane becomes playable at the start of Chapter 3, right after the End of Greed questline and once you unlock the Greymane camp. She joins as an ally of the Marquis and fights alongside Kliff from that point forward. Our full Crimson Desert all characters and companions guide has everything on how each character works.
Unlike Kliff, Damiane wears skirt-style armor rather than trousers, giving her a different silhouette that stands out during combat and cutscenes. Most of her unique armor is found in the Demeniss and Crimson Desert regions, which is why many players are well into the game before they start gearing her out properly.
The Elegant Carmine Leather Armor (also called the Crimson Banquet set) is her most sought-after piece. It is a black and red leather skirt with a clean, elegant design and genuinely useful stats, including Lightning Resistance and three Abyss Gear slots. The full set has a 12 base Defense and is a strong option for mid-to-late-game play.
Step 1 — Travel to the Jungle Ruins
The blueprint is hidden inside the Jungle Ruins, located in the southeast area of the Crimson Desert region, east of the Red River.
You need to travel as Kliff to retrieve the blueprint, since the secret room requires the Force Palm ability, which only Kliff can use during exploration. Damiane cannot complete this step herself.
The Crimson Desert region is a late-game area with high-level enemies, so make sure your gear is upgraded before making the trip. Our guide on how to upgrade weapons and armor is worth checking before heading out if you are not yet comfortable in the desert region.

Step 2 — Enter the Ruins and Find the Rainforest Eye Watchtower
Once you arrive at the Jungle Ruins, the main courtyard area will be guarded by Wolf Trackers. Clear them before doing anything else — you do not want enemies interrupting you while you navigate the ruins.
With the area clear, look to the west side of the main ruins courtyard for an entrance that is completely overgrown with thick vines and leaves. It is easy to miss if you are not specifically looking for it. Push through the overgrown entrance to enter the Rainforest Eye Watchtower.
Alternatively, the entrance to the cave section is at the bottom of the cliff, surrounded by water. Head inside and look to the right — you will spot the fake wall from inside the cave.
Step 3 — Use Force Palm to Reveal the Secret Room
Once inside the Rainforest Eye Watchtower, face the north wall. You will notice a panel on the wall that looks slightly different from the surrounding stonework. It is the panel you need to break.
Use Force Palm (R3 / Right Stick click on controller, or Mouse Wheel on PC) to strike the panel and shatter it open. This reveals a hidden corridor behind the wall. If Force Palm does not break it on the first hit, try a second strike — the panel sometimes takes two hits depending on your current Force Palm level.
Follow the newly revealed corridor to the end of the secret room. You will find an altar at the far end.
Step 4 — Pick Up the Blueprint and Read It
Approach the altar and pick up the Crimson Banquet Armor Blueprint (also listed as the Carmine Banquet Armor Blueprint in some inventory views — they refer to the same item).
Picking it up is not enough on its own. Open your inventory, navigate to the Quest or Document tab, find the Crimson Banquet Armor Blueprint Crafting Book, and select Read. This permanently adds the Elegant Carmine Leather Armor to your crafting list at any Smithy. If you skip the reading step, the recipe will not be available when you go to craft it.
Step 5 — Gather the Crafting Materials
With the recipe unlocked, you need to collect all five required materials before heading to a Smithy. Here is the full list:
- 10 Thin Hides
- 5 Thick Hides
- 2 Sturdy Hides
- 2 Gold Ore
- 2 Garnets
The hides are obtained by hunting and skinning animals across Pywel. Thin Hides drop from smaller animals, Thick Hides from larger ones, and Sturdy Hides from tougher creatures or in the later regions. Our horse guide can help you cover ground faster while hunting.

Garnets are a mineral found in rocky terrain across the Hernand and Demeniss regions — they appear as reddish crystal deposits on cliff faces and mountainsides. Step 6 — Craft the Armor at a Smithy
Once you have all five materials, head to any Smithy. The most convenient one early on is Turnali in Hernand Town.
Speak to Turnali and select the Crafting option. Use R2/RT on controller (or the tab key on PC) to navigate to the Leather Equipment tab. Scroll toward the bottom of the list and you will find the Elegant Carmine Leather Armor. Select it and press X/A to craft.
The recipe appears here only after you have read the blueprint from your inventory. If it is not showing up, go back and make sure you selected Read on the Crimson Banquet Armor Blueprint in your inventory.
Step 7 — Switch to Damiane and Equip the Skirt
After crafting, the Elegant Carmine Leather Armor goes into your inventory. It is Damiane-exclusive — Kliff and Oongka cannot equip it.
Open the Character Select Wheel and switch over to Damiane. Then open your inventory, navigate to Armor, find the Elegant Carmine Leather Armor, and equip it. The skirt will appear on Damiane immediately.
Elegant Carmine Leather Armor Stats
Once equipped on Damiane, the armor provides the following base stats:
- Defense: 12
- Lightning Resistance: Level 1
- Abyss Gear Slots: 3

Other Damiane Armor Sets Worth Getting
The Elegant Carmine Leather Armor is Damiane’s most popular outfit, but it is not the only skirt-style armor she can wear. A few others worth knowing about:
Autumn Banquet Armor — Found in the Demeniss region, specifically pieces scattered around the Sanctum of Mortification northwest of the Golden Plains. It also has 12 base Defense and Lightning Resistance, plus a Movement Speed bonus that pairs well with Damiane’s fast combat style.
Light of the Battlefield Armor — A golden Valkyrie-style set found across the Crimson Desert region. Several pieces are hidden in remote treasure chests. It features Ice Resistance and a striking visual that makes Damiane look like a war goddess.

Troubleshooting
Force Palm is not breaking the north wall panel. Make sure you are hitting the specific panel on the north wall inside the Rainforest Eye Watchtower. It may take two hits if your Force Palm level is lower. Do not confuse it with other wall sections — look for the slightly different texture on the north face.
The recipe is not showing at the Smithy. Go back to your inventory, find the Crimson Banquet Armor Blueprint in your Quest or Document tab, and select Read. Simply picking it up does not register the recipe — you must read it.
Damiane cannot equip the armor after crafting. This is a character-exclusive item. Make sure you have switched to Damiane using the Character Select Wheel before attempting to equip it from your inventory.
Wolf Trackers are too tough. The Jungle Ruins sits in a late-game zone. If the enemies are overwhelming you, come back after upgrading your gear further. The blueprint is not going anywhere.
