All Cafe Break Interactions in Deltarune Chapter 5

All Cafe Break interactions in Deltarune Chapter 5 listed and explained — every Flower Tea Time conversation, how to unlock them, and the Pink secret boss scenes.

The Cafe Break interactions in Deltarune Chapter 5 are some of the funniest optional content in the entire game. The cafe inside the Flower Castle opens after you beat the Yellow and Blue boss fight, and from there you can spend 20 Flowery Dollars per session to watch the Flower Team characters sit down together for short, chaotic conversations. Each pairing is completely unique. New interactions unlock as you progress and defeat each flower boss. Two final scenes require beating the secret boss, Pink. This guide covers every single one.

  • The cafe opens after beating Yellow and Blue. Each session costs 20 Flowery Dollars.
  • New interactions unlock each time you defeat a flower boss character.
  • Return to the cafe just before the Flowery final boss to access all standard interactions.
  • The two Pink interactions only unlock after defeating the Chapter 5 secret boss.
  • The Aqua and Kris interaction has branching dialogue choices that affect how the scene plays out.
  • The Pink and Kris interaction also has a branching choice with two very different comedic endings.

How to Unlock Cafe Break Interactions

The cafe itself becomes available once you clear the Yellow and Blue boss fight in the Flower Castle. From that point, a handful of interactions are immediately playable. The rest fill in as you progress through the chapter.

The system is simple. Each time you defeat one of the flower characters in a boss battle — Aqua, Seth, Orange, Green, and so on — new pairings involving that character appear on the cafe menu. The best time to clear the full list is just before the final Flowery boss fight. By that point, all flower characters have been encountered and their interactions are unlocked. The only exceptions are the two Pink pairings, which require clearing the secret boss route. For that you need 10 Pink Coins and the Mystery Key from the Cliffs Shop.

If a pairing is not showing up on the menu, the most likely reason is that you have not yet defeated the flower boss it involves. Defeat the relevant boss, return to the cafe, and the missing interaction will be ready.

Each session costs 20 Flowery Dollars. There are enough Flowery Dollars available from Flowery’s chest early in the chapter to cover every single interaction without running short. If you need a refresher on how to stock up, see our guide on what to do with Flowery Dollars in Deltarune Chapter 5.

All Aqua Interactions

Aqua and Kris

Aqua asks Kris to change into different forms and questions why they cannot cast spells. This one has branching dialogue choices. First, Aqua asks Kris to wear a doctor’s or nurse’s outfit. Then she asks them to change again into either an Aqua outfit or a Yellow outfit. Finally, she asks Kris to perform a magic trick — either a Heal Prayer or the Rude Buster. Whichever path you take, the scene ends with Kris wearing something that vaguely resembles a spell. It is one of the more interactive cafe breaks in the chapter.

Aqua and Yellow

Aqua asks Yellow whether playing with knives is justice. Yellow firmly informs her that knives are never justice. The real justice, he explains, is guns. He then gives Aqua a gun. The exchange perfectly captures both characters in one short scene.

Aqua and Green

Aqua tells Green that Seth said she should be more like him, and asks Green to teach her the art of fire. Green’s response is to place a block of cheese on Aqua’s head. Aqua decides to eat it in front of everyone to demonstrate something. Classic Green energy throughout.

Aqua and Seth

Aqua clarifies to Seth that she is called Aqua and that she is a girl. She then asks Seth whether he is a girl or a boy. The conversation continues in this direction before devolving in the way only an Aqua scene can.

Aqua and Blue

Aqua asks Blue what love is. Blue explains, at length, that love is how the world revolves and continues with a heartfelt philosophical breakdown. Aqua listens carefully and then shares her takeaway: she loves throwing things at people. Blue does not have an answer for this.

Aqua and Orange

Aqua says she barely recognized Orange because they look so human. Orange confirms they look strong and human. Aqua agrees and says their hands look big and swollen. Orange clarifies that those are gloves, not hands. A short scene, but perfectly absurd.

All Seth Interactions

Seth and Ralsei

Seth and Ralsei bond over a shared frustration: Flowery keeps explaining things incorrectly and telling people things they should not know. The two complain at length about this and eventually agree that they should both be the leaders instead. Ralsei immediately backs out of that idea.

Seth and Susie

Seth tries to recruit Susie onto their side, arguing she would be one of the smartest on the team. Ralsei interrupts to mention that Berdly likes Susie. Susie makes it clear she has no interest in Berdly. Seth still thinks she should join their side regardless.

Seth and Yellow

Seth tells Yellow that if he wants to be a better cowboy, he needs a ranch. Green immediately brings out Cool Ranch dressing, then regular ranch dressing. Seth clarifies that ranch means a horse to ride. Shortly after, the scene cuts to Yellow carrying Ralsei in a horse outfit with Seth riding on top. The background is vast and empty. It is one of the most unexpectedly cinematic moments in the whole chapter.

Seth and Green

Seth gives Green a set of specific instructions: move to the right, move to the left, get the pan out. Green takes the pan and throws it directly at Seth. Seth asks how the two of them even work together. A Suffering Sap in the background asks if Seth could stop pulling Green’s hair. Aqua then jumps on Seth’s head and starts pulling her hair instead.

Seth and Blue

Seth tells Blue she is too emotional and constantly sugarcoats everything for everyone. Blue fires back that Seth’s overanalysis of everyone’s behavior may be hindering their botanical development. Blue then calls it Cringe. Seth does not take this well.

All Yellow Interactions

Yellow and Ralsei

Yellow tells Ralsei that herbs are our friends and that what Ralsei is doing is illegal. The exact nature of the offense is left somewhat unclear, which makes it funnier.

Yellow and Green

Yellow tells Green that even if she does not talk, he knows she communicates through her food. Green places a block of cheese on the table. The cheese reads “You owe me $2.” Green then tricks Yellow into going inside the cheese and traps him there.

Yellow and Blue

Yellow tells Blue he will be protecting her from this point forward. Blue calls Yellow a hero. Seth interrupts immediately to complain that all Yellow ever does is arrest Blue. The dynamic between the three of them in this short scene is excellent.

All Blue Interactions

Blue and Orange

Orange asks Blue for famous advice. Blue tells Orange to move like a butterfly and sting like a bee. Orange points out he has neither wings nor a stinger. The conversation spirals into a debate involving multiple characters about how many eyes a person should actually have.

Blue and Orange 2

Orange reports that his spare gloves have gone missing. Blue admits to taking them, but only so he could craft Orange a gift. Orange asks if Blue can just change the gift back into gloves. Blue does not say yes.

Blue and Orange 3

Orange asks Blue what the path of a true human champion looks like. Blue says that victory does not come from the bare knuckle but from defeating the shadow of your own mind. Orange immediately interprets this as meaning he has to beat up his own brain. Aqua and Yellow jump in to clarify that knives and guns are actually the best way to win. Blue is lost.

Blue and Susie

Blue asks Susie if love ails her. Susie says she does not understand the question. Blue presses on and eventually convinces Susie to try love. The conversation ends before it is clear what that actually means for Susie, but she seems willing.

Blue and Green

Blue says that even though Green does not speak, her food clearly communicates her love for others. Green places cheese on the table with “You owe me $2” written on it. Blue calls this toothsome and full of love. Green does not respond.

All Orange Interactions

Orange and Susie

Susie tells Orange it is okay if they are a little different. Orange asks what Susie is implying because they are clearly a human. Susie says whatever they are, it does not matter — Orange cannot do a bad job of being Orange. It is one of the warmer cafe breaks in the chapter.

Orange and Ralsei

Ralsei apologizes to Orange for calling them a mouse. Orange accepts the apology and says it was just embarrassing how much Ralsei was projecting. Orange then calls Ralsei a big ugly rat. Orange continues insulting Ralsei from multiple angles for the rest of the scene.

Pink Interactions (Secret Boss Route Only)

These two interactions only unlock after defeating Pink, the Chapter 5 secret boss. You need 10 Pink Coins and the Mystery Key from the Cliffs Shop to reach her. For help with finding the coins, check our guide on all fox locations in Deltarune Chapter 5 for one of the easier coin sources.

Pink and Orange

Pink introduces herself to the group. Aqua immediately asks Orange if Pink likes throwing knives. Blue admires Pink’s tutu. Seth explains that everyone in the group is trying to be human — including Pink, even though she has a tail. Pink is overwhelmed with emotion by the warm welcome she receives.

Pink and Kris

Pink tells Kris she has something important to say. This interaction has a branching choice at the end. If you tell Pink that Kris was serious about flirting during the boss fight, she says there is absolutely no way that was true, a bomb appears above her head, and she explodes. If you say Kris had to win, Pink calls Kris super absorbent kitty litter, announces she has an ultimate weapon, and the screen cuts to black with RESET. appearing on screen. The reset screen is intentionally alarming. Do not panic. It is a joke ending, not an actual reset.

Tips for Seeing Every Interaction

  • Stock up on Flowery Dollars early. Every session costs 20 Flowery Dollars. Collect as many as possible from Flowery’s chest before leaving that room. Around 400 to 500 covers every interaction with plenty to spare.
  • Make your final cafe visit just before the Flowery boss fight. That is the only point where all standard interactions are unlocked at the same time. Going earlier means some pairings will still be missing.
  • Do the Pink interactions on a separate visit after clearing the secret boss. Those two unlock independently and cannot be seen on the normal route.
  • The Aqua and Kris interaction has choices that alter the scene. If you want to see all variations, note that your choices affect the outcome. You may want to reload and try the other paths.
