The Destiny 2 Archie location changed with the Monument of Triumph update in 2026. He’s no longer near Ada-1 in the Annex. Archie moved to the Tower Bazaar and is now sitting next to the vendor Lodi. This guide shows you exactly how to get there, how to pet him, and how to claim your 10 Legendary Marks from the Can You Pet the Dog Triumph.
- Archie is in the Tower Bazaar, on the lounge deck next to Lodi — not the Annex near Ada-1
- From the Courtyard, head right and follow the path down into the Bazaar past the ramen shop
- Walk straight through the tall archway to the red-rug balcony area at the far end
- Approach Archie and press the interact button — the prompt reads “Activate Good Boy Protocol”
- This unlocks the Can You Pet the Dog Triumph — claim it manually in the Journey menu for 10 Legendary Marks
- Hawthorne is nearby — visit her for the For The Bird Triumph while you’re in the area
Where Is Archie in Destiny 2 in 2026
Archie is in the Tower Bazaar, on the lounge deck next to Lodi. He is not near Ada-1’s Synthweave shop in the Annex. That spot is empty now. Players returning after a long break often waste time checking the old location — don’t bother.
The move makes narrative sense. Lodi arrived in the Tower as part of Monument of Triumph, and Archie now keeps her company at her new station. It’s a small piece of environmental storytelling from Bungie’s final content update.
How to Get to Archie — Step by Step Route
Spawn into the Tower at the Courtyard waypoint. This is the default spawn for almost all players.
From the Courtyard, turn right and head down the path that leads into the Bazaar. You’ll pass the ramen shop on your left. Keep going straight — don’t take the stairs on the right toward Hawthorne yet, though you’ll want to visit her after.
Continue past the ramen shop and through the Bazaar until you reach a tall archway. Walk through it. You’ll arrive at a balcony area covered with red rugs and cushioned lounge furniture. This is Lodi’s section of the Bazaar.

Archie is sitting on the lounge deck directly behind Lodi. He’s visible as soon as you step onto the balcony — you don’t need to search around.
Landmark shortcut: Face the Postmaster in the Courtyard, then go up the stairs to the left, past Ikora Rey. When Ikora is directly in front of you, look right. Enter the hallway on the ground floor. Follow it through to the end and you’ll find Lodi and Archie on the balcony.

How to Pet Archie and Activate Good Boy Protocol
Walk up to Archie. An interaction prompt will appear. It reads: “Activate Good Boy Protocol.”
Press the interact button — Square on PlayStation, X on Xbox. The Good Boy Protocol animation plays and the Can You Pet the Dog Triumph completes instantly. No loading screen. No quest step. Just a robot dog getting the attention he deserves.
There’s a minor animation quirk worth knowing about: after the Good Boy Protocol plays, your Guardian’s arms briefly return to a gun-holding position before going back to idle. This is a leftover from when the animation was first made for the H.E.L.M., where Archie originally lived. Bungie never updated it when he moved to the Tower. It’s harmless — the Triumph still completes correctly.
Can You Pet the Dog Triumph — How to Claim Your Legendary Marks
Petting Archie does not automatically deposit the reward. You need to claim it manually.
After petting him, open your Journey menu. Navigate to the Monument of Triumph page. Find the Tower section inside the Stories tab. The completed Can You Pet the Dog Triumph will be there. Click it to claim your 10 Legendary Marks.
10 Marks on their own won’t go far at the four Tenet vendors in the Tower Courtyard. But this Triumph takes under two minutes and pairs well with other quick Tower challenges. Stack it with the Floor is Lava challenge, the hidden net goal, and the Tower ball puzzle to build up your Marks budget before you start spending.
Visit Hawthorne While You’re Here
Hawthorne is a short walk from Archie — she’s on the stairs just before the ramen shop as you come down from the Courtyard. She’s relevant to the For The Bird Triumph, which is one of the Monument of Triumph challenges that unlocks the ability to purchase the Chatterwhite shader from the Tenet of Death vendor.
The For The Bird Triumph requires picking up Hawthorne’s Fated Deepsight quest, which is on page 2 of her inventory — not the first page. Scroll past the default inventory view to find it. The quest involves running the Vault of Glass raid. Vault of Glass is free for all players — no DLC required.
Since you’re already in the Bazaar for Archie, check Hawthorne’s page 2 inventory while you’re standing next to her. It saves a separate trip.
Who Is Archie — Lore and Background
Archie’s full name is Archangel. He’s a mechanical dog built by Rasputin — the ancient Warmind AI that spent centuries defending humanity from the Darkness. He was found aboard the Seraph Station during Season of the Seraph and adopted by Ana Bray, who named him Archie.
After Rasputin’s death at the end of Season of the Seraph, Archie was taken in by the Guardians. He first lived in the Seraph Wing of the H.E.L.M., then moved to the Tower Annex near Ada-1 and the Black Armory. With Monument of Triumph, he relocated to his current spot in the Bazaar next to Lodi.
He’s the only interactable animal NPC in Destiny 2. Every other NPC either sells you something or gives you a quest. Archie just exists and accepts pets. The game is better for it.
Real-world connection: Archie was created through a Make-A-Wish request. Bungie added him to the game inspired by a real dog named Artemis. That’s why he’s treated with such affection by the studio — he’s not just a meme or an Easter egg. He’s a permanent tribute.
Archie’s History of Moving Around the Tower
Archie has a nomadic history. He’s changed location multiple times over the course of the game:
- Season of the Seraph: Found on Seraph Station, moved to the H.E.L.M.’s Seraph Wing
- Post-Seraph Wing closure: Relocated to the Tower Annex near Ada-1 and the Black Armory
- Into the Light update: A Triumph called “Where in the System is Archie?” required following glowing paw prints across destinations to track him down
- Monument of Triumph (June 2026): Now at the Tower Bazaar next to Lodi — his current permanent home
Players who haven’t logged in since before Monument of Triumph will find his old spot empty. The Bazaar balcony next to Lodi is where he lives now.
