What Is the Tokyo City Treasure Hunt in Forza Horizon 6?
The Tokyo City Treasure Hunt is a Festival Playlist challenge that appeared during the Spring season of the Welcome to Japan Series 1 playlist. Like all Treasure Hunts in FH6, it gives you a photo clue and asks you to find a hidden chest somewhere on the map.
The clue image shows a shipping container yard. That describes almost the entire docks area in Tokyo City, which makes this one of the trickier hunts in the series. The chest is not on the ground between the containers. It is elevated on a warehouse rooftop platform, and you need to drive up to reach it.
This is also the final Treasure Hunt of Series 1. Once Spring ends, this chest is gone permanently. Get it before the playlist rotates.
Tokyo City Treasure Hunt Chest Location
The chest is at the eastern docks of the Tokyo City region, on the exterior platform attached to the northernmost warehouse near the container cranes. The port sits along the waterfront on the eastern edge of the map.
The easiest way to get close is to fast travel to the Tokyo City Docks drift zone. Once you spawn in, look to your right. You will see a row of large warehouses running along the waterfront. The one you need is the northernmost building in that row.
The area is also close to the Pier Pressure wristband event if you have already completed that — you have likely driven past this exact stretch of docks before.
How to Reach the Chest – Step by Step
The chest is up high, so you cannot just drive straight to it. Follow these steps carefully:
- Fast travel to the Tokyo City Docks drift zone and head to the eastern waterfront.
- Find the row of large seaside warehouses along the shoreline.
- Locate the ramp on the exterior of the southernmost warehouse. You need speed to make the jump — approach at full throttle.
- Jump across to the connected catwalk on the next warehouse over and follow the elevated exterior track.
- The track leads you up to the roof level of the warehouses. Move carefully on the glass roof sections.
- Cross the steel girder bridge between warehouses to reach an upper level that has no other entry point.
- Follow the track outside to the platform on the far side.
- Smash through the Treasure Chest to complete the hunt.

Tips to Make It Easier
Take it slow on the roof. The glass roof sections are slippery. Hit the ramps fast, but ease off once you are on top.
Land on the rail between warehouse sections. Missing the rail means falling into the warehouse, and you will have to restart the approach from the bottom.
Around 120 km/h works for the jump. Travelling at roughly that speed off the roof edge lets you land cleanly on the side balcony platform where the chest sits. Too slow and you drop short.
Use a car you know well. This is not the time to try out a new build. Pick something from your garage that handles predictably at speed. The best starter cars or your regular go-to from the S1 or S2 class are fine choices.
Tokyo City Treasure Hunt Rewards
Smashing the chest gives you all three rewards at once:
- 100,000 Credits — one of the faster ways to bank CR in a single stop.
- 5,000 XP — helps with levelling up and unlocking Wheelspins.
- 3 Festival Playlist points — stacks toward your Spring season total.
Those 3 points matter. Spring is the last season of the Welcome to Japan Series 1 playlist. You need 15 total points to unlock the 1996 Toyota Starlet Glanza V and 30 total points for the 1974 Toyota Corolla SR5. Every challenge you can complete before the playlist rotates adds to that total.
