Her streams attract hundreds of thousands of viewers across the galaxies, and her acrobatic fire performances are as dangerous as they are spectacular.

On the battlefield, Guinaifen is a specialised Fire DoT debuffer. Her core mechanic revolves around applying Burn to enemies and then exploiting it with her Talent’s Firekiss debuff. Every time an enemy takes Burn DoT damage, there is a chance they are afflicted with a Firekiss stack — each stack increases the damage they take from all sources by 7%, stacking up to 3 times for a total 21% team-wide damage amplification. This vulnerability bonus applies to every hit from every teammate, not just Guinaifen herself.

Guinaifen Skills and Abilities

Basic ATK – Fanning Flames

Deals Fire DMG to a single target, scaling off ATK. With E2 unlocked, Basic ATK also applies Burn to the target with a base chance. This makes her Basic ATK a meaningful SP-free Burn tool that keeps her SP-positive between Skill uses.

Skill – Blazing Welcome

Deals Fire Blast DMG to a primary target and adjacent enemies, with a 100% base chance to apply Burn to all targets hit. The Burn deals Fire DoT for 2 turns equal to a percentage of Guinaifen’s ATK. Since her Skill hits 3 enemies in Blast range, she can apply Burn to the entire enemy line in one use. This is her primary action for maintaining Burn uptime and generating Firekiss stacks via her Talent.

Ultimate – Watch This Showstopper

Deals Fire AoE DMG to all enemies. Critically, if any enemy is already afflicted with Burn when the Ultimate hits, the Burn’s damage is immediately triggered — dealing the full remaining Burn DoT in one instant burst. This makes the Ultimate particularly valuable on turns where multiple enemies are fully Burned: all that ticking damage fires simultaneously as a burst hit. Costs 110 Energy.

Talent – PatrAeon Benefits

The heart of Guinaifen’s support role. Each time an enemy takes Burn DoT damage, there is a base chance to apply 1 stack of Firekiss to that enemy, up to a maximum of 3 stacks. Each Firekiss stack increases the DMG received by that enemy from all sources by 7%. At 3 stacks, this is a 21% universal damage increase for the entire team against that enemy. The buff applies to all damage types — Quantum, Lightning, Physical, Ice — not just Fire. This makes Guinaifen genuinely valuable even in teams that do not deal Fire damage themselves, as long as Burn is being applied and ticking consistently.

Technique – Grand Entrance

Immediately applies Burn to a random enemy when entering combat, lasting 2 turns. Use this before every fight to get Burn and its first Firekiss proc rolling before Guinaifen even acts.

When SPD reaches 170 or higher, it additionally applies Theft on enemies for a further 12% DEF reduction. The combined 36% total DEF reduction on all enemies is an enormous team-wide damage multiplier that benefits every character dealing damage. The SPD bonus also helps Guinaifen take more turns to apply Burn and stack Firekiss faster. This cone requires building toward 170 SPD with speed substats and boots — a committed investment but the strongest option when achieved.

2. Good Night and Sleep Well (4-Star – Best Flexible Option)

For every debuff on the target, DMG dealt increases by 12–24%, stacking up to 3 times. Guinaifen applies multiple debuffs simultaneously — Burn, Firekiss, and potentially the Bamboozle effect from this cone at S5. Practically, she consistently has 2–3 debuffs active, meaning the max stack is reached easily. A strong budget option that requires no SPD threshold and scales well with her debuff-heavy playstyle. Available from standard banner pulls.

3. Fermata (4-Star – DoT Teams)

Increases Break Effect and boosts DMG against Shocked or Burned targets. The Burned conditional activates constantly in Guinaifen’s kit. Works particularly well when paired with Kafka whose follow-up attacks re-trigger DoTs — the DMG boost applies to Kafka’s detonation as well when the enemy is Burned. 4. Eyes of the Prey (4-Star – EHR Support)

Provides Effect Hit Rate and increases Nihility Ultimate DMG. The EHR helps Guinaifen comfortably reach her 67% EHR target without relying on substats for it, freeing substat rolls for ATK and SPD. Use this if your relic pieces cannot provide enough EHR from substats alone.

5. Solitary Healing (5-Star – F2P from Herta’s Store)

Available for free from the Herta’s Store with enough Undying Embers. At S5 it provides solid DoT DMG bonuses and some Energy Regeneration. The best option for players who want a 5-star cone without a Gacha pull — superimpose over time.

Guinaifen Best Relic Sets (4.3)

Prisoner in Deep Confinement (4-Piece) – Best in Slot

The definitive relic set for Guinaifen in 4.3. The 2-piece gives +12% ATK, scaling all of her Burn DoT and direct damage. The 4-piece causes Guinaifen to ignore 6% of enemy DEF for each type of DoT currently on the target (up to 3 types), for a total of 18% DEF ignore. In DoT teams where Burn, Shock, and Wind Shear or Bleed are active, this maxes out immediately. Even in teams with only Burn active, the 6% DEF ignore from the single DoT type is a free damage bonus. This is the recommended set in virtually all scenarios.

Firesmith of Lava-Forging (4-Piece) – Fire Damage Alternative

The 2-piece gives +10% Fire DMG. The 4-piece gives +12% Skill DMG and a further +12% Fire DMG for 1 turn after using the Ultimate. Since Guinaifen uses her Skill as the primary action and her Ultimate refreshes regularly, both bonuses are active frequently. A competitive choice in Fire-specific teams where maximising Burn DoT damage matters more than DEF ignore.

Prisoner in Deep Confinement (2) + Firesmith of Lava-Forging (2)

A workable transitional combination providing +12% ATK and +10% Fire DMG. Simple, conditional-free, and easy to assemble from existing relic pools while farming for a complete 4-piece Prisoner set.

Guinaifen Best Planar Ornaments (4.3)

Revelry by the Sea (Best)

The top Planar Ornament for Guinaifen in 4.3. It provides ATK% and a conditional ATK% bonus that activates when Guinaifen hits the appropriate ATK threshold. This ornament directly scales her Burn DoT and all her fire damage. Its ATK% bonuses compound with the A2 Trace’s ATK buff from Firekiss stacks, making it the most impactful stat ornament available. Target 2,400 ATK to activate the first tier and 3,600 ATK for the full bonus.

Penacony, Land of the Dreams (Fire Team Option)

Provides +5% Energy Regeneration Rate and, when two or more characters share the same element, gives them all a +10% DMG bonus. In a mono-Fire team or a composition with a Fire DPS and Fire sustain, the bonus activates and amplifies both Guinaifen and her Fire teammates simultaneously. Use this specifically in Fire-aligned teams.

Pan-Cosmic Commercial Enterprise (Support Alternative)

The most important number to hit is 67% Effect Hit Rate at E0. Below this threshold, Burn application becomes unreliable and the whole kit falls apart. After E1 the EHR requirement drops to 50%, freeing more substat rolls for ATK and SPD.

Guinaifen Best Team Compositions (4.3)

Best Team: Kafka, Black Swan, Guinaifen, Gallagher/Huohuo

The strongest team for Guinaifen in 4.3. Kafka detonates all DoTs on the field when she uses her Skill — every Burn tick Guinaifen applies becomes a burst hit from Kafka’s follow-up. Black Swan layers Arcana stacks on top of Guinaifen’s Burn, creating multiple DoT types that maximise the Prisoner 4-piece DEF ignore. Guinaifen keeps Burn active, stacks Firekiss to 3 for +21% team damage, and contributes personal Fire damage. Gallagher sustains cleanly — his Besotted healing synergises with the fast-hitting DoT team, and his own Fire element gives him Burned-target bonuses with Fermata if equipped. Huohuo is an excellent alternative sustain if you have her — Energy Regeneration Rate benefits the whole team’s Ultimate cycling.

Triple Fire DoT: Kafka, Guinaifen, Jiaoqiu, Gallagher

A Fire-heavy alternative with Jiaoqiu providing Ashen Roast (which applies Burned status) and Ultimate DMG vulnerability. Jiaoqiu’s Ashen Roast counts as Burn for Guinaifen’s Talent, meaning every Ashen Roast tick can generate Firekiss stacks independently. This allows Firekiss to build even faster than in standard Kafka compositions. Excellent for players who have Jiaoqiu and want a Fire-flavoured DoT team.

Budget DoT Team: Kafka, Guinaifen, Sampo, Natasha/Gallagher

An accessible team using widely available 4-star characters. Kafka remains the primary DPS. Sampo adds Wind Shear DoT, giving the Prisoner 4-piece a second DoT type for additional DEF ignore. Guinaifen handles Burn and Firekiss. A F2P-friendly lineup that covers the key DoT team functions without requiring limited 5-star characters beyond Kafka.

Acheron Support: Acheron, Guinaifen, Jiaoqiu, Sustain

Guinaifen works as a Nihility debuffer in Acheron teams. She applies Burn and Firekiss — both count as debuffs for Acheron’s Slashed Dream passive — and her Firekiss vulnerability amplifies Acheron’s Ultimate DMG. A budget-friendly alternative to premium Nihility supports when Cipher or Black Swan are unavailable. Less optimal than dedicated Acheron supports but fully functional.

Guinaifen Eidolons – Are They Worth It?

As a 4-star character, Guinaifen accumulates Eidolons naturally through standard pulls and featured rate-ups. Her Eidolons are significant — particularly E2 and E4 — and worth actively pursuing.

E1 – Earliest Live

When using the Skill, there is now a chance to reduce the target’s Effect RES by 10% for 2 turns. This makes enemy debuff resistance lower, ensuring future Burn and Firekiss applications land more reliably. It also reduces the EHR threshold from 67% to 50%, freeing up valuable substat rolls for ATK and SPD. A practical and meaningful E1.

E2 – Glorious Encore

Basic ATK gains the ability to apply Burn directly. Additionally, Burn DoT from both Basic ATK and Skill deal 40% more damage. This is Guinaifen’s most impactful single Eidolon — a 40% Burn DoT multiplier is a very significant increase to her sustained personal damage. It also makes her Basic ATK a useful SP-free Burn application tool rather than a pure filler. Starguide identifies E2 as the first investment target and recommended stopping point for most players.

E4 – Standing Ovation

Each time an enemy takes Burn DoT damage, Guinaifen regenerates 2 Energy. In AoE content where multiple enemies are Burned simultaneously, this generates substantial Energy per turn, allowing her to use her Ultimate far more frequently without running an Energy Regeneration Rope. This effectively lets E4 players switch from an ERR rope to an ATK% rope — a meaningful damage increase while maintaining high Ultimate frequency. A strong Eidolon that dramatically improves her rotation efficiency.

E6 – Curtain Call

The maximum Firekiss stack limit increases from 3 to 4, raising the total DMG vulnerability from 21% to 28% per enemy. This is a permanent team-wide damage amplification upgrade — every single hit from every character deals 7% more damage against Firekissed enemies. An exceptional E6 that makes Guinaifen one of the most team-friendly debuffers at full investment.

Recommended stopping point: E2, then E4. E0 is functional in DoT teams but limited. E1 solves EHR pressure. E2 is the single biggest personal damage upgrade. E4 enables ATK% rope over Energy Regeneration while maintaining Ultimate cycling. These three Eidolons together transform her into a premium 4-star investment.

Guinaifen’s rotation is clean and repeatable:

Use the Technique before combat to apply Burn to a random enemy immediately
On the first turn, use the Skill to apply Burn to all enemies in Blast range. Talent begins triggering Firekiss on the first DoT tick
Continue using Skill as the primary action — it maintains Burn on the most enemies and generates Energy consistently
Use Basic ATK (especially at E2) when conserving SP for teammates. The A4 Trace refreshes Burn duration when attacking Burned targets, so Basic ATK extends Burn without a Skill

At 3 stacks, every character in the party deals 21% more damage to Firekissed enemies from all sources. At E6, this rises to 28%. No other freely obtainable 4-star provides this level of universal damage amplification.

Her best use case in 4.3 is firmly in Kafka and Black Swan DoT teams, where her Burn uptime is guaranteed and Firekiss stacks max out quickly. She also fits neatly into Acheron compositions as a budget Nihility option. Outside of these DoT contexts, her value drops — Firekiss requires Burn to tick consistently, and without that infrastructure the debuff does not stack reliably.
