    • There are 6 Compounds in MW4 DMZ, spread across the Hajin Exclusion Zone — Alpha through Foxtrot.
    • Approaching any Compound triggers the Clear the Military Compound Side Op automatically.
    • You must eliminate 100% of the AI enemies to fully clear a Compound and unlock its Safe.
    • Each Compound contains a Safe with randomised loot including crafting ingredients, Infantry Invasion Plans, and Regional Combat Notes.
    • Compounds always appear in fixed locations but can already be cleared by another squad before you arrive.

Compounds in MW4 DMZ are among the best sources of loot on the Hajin map — but they’re also some of the most dangerous locations to hit. Each one is a fortified military outpost packed with AI enemies, and you need to wipe them all out before the Safe inside unlocks. Here’s every Compound location, how to find them, and the most effective way to clear them without losing your run.

What Are Compounds in MW4 DMZ?

Compounds are heavily guarded military outposts scattered across Hajin. They sit away from the main Points of Interest — usually in wooded areas, along side roads, or in the wilderness between major zones. On your Tac-Map, active Compounds are marked with a tent icon.

Entering the perimeter of a Compound automatically starts the Clear the Military Compound Side Op. A progress meter appears on the left side of your screen showing the percentage of enemies remaining. Once that meter hits 100%, the Compound is fully cleared and its Safe unlocks.

Each Compound has around 10 to 12 AI enemies spread across the area — a mix of regular soldiers and sometimes a Lieutenant or tougher named enemy guarding the premises. There’s usually a guard tower, one or two buildings, and the Safe hidden either in the main building or at the base of the guard tower.

    MW4 DMZ All Compound Locations

    Compound Alpha

    • Location: East of Imjin Farmland
    • Coordinates: x: 1911, y: 2865
    • Grid: E7 (near Daesong Ridge)

Compound Alpha sits on the southeastern edge of the Imjin Farmland area, close to Daesong Ridge. It’s one of the more accessible Compounds from the southern side of the map and a good early loot stop if you’re spawning near Imjin Farmland or Wolves Stadium.

    Compound Bravo

    • Location: South of Wolves Stadium
    • Coordinates: x: 2120, y: 3022
    • Grid: F8 (near Daesong Ridge)

Compound Bravo is in the lower southern portion of Hajin, just below the Wolves Stadium area. It’s in a quieter part of the map compared to the high-traffic city zones. The Bravo safe is reported to sometimes contain Regional Combat Notes — a useful crafting ingredient. For best results on loot here, bring a strong AR loadout like the meta M4 build to clear the open ground around the compound quickly.

    Compound Charlie

    • Location: East of Pyonghwa Village (Cheongun Outskirts area)
    • Coordinates: x: 1679, y: 2106
    • Grid: D5

Compound Charlie is in the central-west section of Hajin near Pyonghwa Village. This one is worth noting because its Safe is reported to occasionally contain Infantry Invasion Plans — a rarer crafting ingredient also found at Compound Delta. If you’re grinding specific ingredients for your FOB crafting stations, Charlie and Delta are the two priority Compounds to hit.

    Compound Delta

    • Location: South of the Haneul Nuclear Reactor (South Korean Border Zone)
    • Coordinates: x: 2786, y: 2174
    • Grid: H5 (near Shoreline Station)

Compound Delta is on the eastern side of the map, south of the Haneul Nuclear Reactor. Be aware that proximity to the Reactor means radiation can be a concern if you stray too far north — stick to the compound itself and you’ll be fine. Like Charlie, this compound’s safe has been confirmed to drop Infantry Invasion Plans — keep both in your rotation if you need that ingredient.

    Compound Echo

    • Location: Hajin River Heights
    • Coordinates: x: 2544, y: 2855
    • Grid: G7

Compound Echo is in the Hajin River Heights area in the southeast section of the map. River Heights is a Medium threat zone, so the AI here is manageable. Echo is conveniently close to multiple Exfil points in that part of Hajin, making it a solid late-deployment stop — clear the compound, loot the Safe, and push straight to an Exfil without backtracking across the map.

    Compound Foxtrot

    • Location: South of the 14th Political Prison (North Korean Wilderness)
    • Coordinates: x: 1107, y: 1999
    • Grid: B4 (near Chang-san Air Base)

Compound Foxtrot is the most dangerous Compound on the list. It sits in the North Korean Wilderness, close to Chang-san Air Base — one of the highest threat zones on the entire Hajin map. The enemies here hit harder than compounds in the southern zones. If you’re heading to Foxtrot, go in with a full squad, a strong loadout, and make sure your Operator Traits are levelled for survivability. The reward from the Safe is worth it, but this is not a solo run.

How to Clear a Compound in MW4 DMZ

Every Compound uses the same system. Here’s the step-by-step process:

    • Step 1 — Approach the perimeter. As soon as you enter the Compound’s boundary, the Clear the Military Compound Side Op activates and the enemy percentage counter appears on screen.
    • Step 2 — Clear the perimeter first. Don’t rush straight at the buildings. Work around the outside edges, pick off enemies from cover or distance, and reduce the population before moving inside. Guard tower snipers are usually the biggest threat — deal with those before anything else.
    • Step 3 — Push the buildings. Move through each building methodically. Enemies can be on different floors. Check corners, listen for footsteps above and below, and don’t sprint through rooms blindly.
    • Step 4 — Confirm the counter hits 100%. The Side Op only completes when every AI in the Compound is down. If the counter stalls, there’s at least one enemy still alive somewhere — scan the full perimeter again, including behind vehicles and inside any sheds or outbuildings.
    • Step 5 — Find and open the Safe. Once the Compound is cleared, find the Safe. It’s usually inside the main building, at the base of the guard tower, or in a command tent. Interact with it to loot the contents.

What Loot Can You Get from Compound Safes?

Loot inside Compound Safes is randomised each deployment, but they consistently drop useful materials. Here’s what to expect:

    • Crafting ingredients — Synthetics, Metals, Reactive Metals, and other components for the 3D Printer at your FOB
    • Infantry Invasion Plans — found most reliably at Compound Charlie and Compound Delta Safes
    • Regional Combat Notes — reported from Compound Bravo Safes among others
    • DMZ Cash — useful for buying Intel, rescuing MIA Operators, or purchasing from vendors
    • Weapons and Gear — occasionally a weapon blueprint or piece of tactical gear depending on the deployment RNG

No two runs will give the same thing, but hitting Compounds reliably feeds your FOB crafting pipeline — especially if you’re trying to print better Backpacks or Plate Carriers to bring into harder zones. See the DMZ Deployment Bonus guide for how to start runs with gear already in hand so you’re not relying on early compound loot just to survive.

    Tips for Clearing Compounds Efficiently

    • Bring an AR, not just an SMG. Compounds have open ground around them. An M4 or similar AR lets you pick off enemies at range before you push in, rather than forcing you into close-quarters fights at every angle.
    • Check the Tac-Map before you approach. If another squad has already been in a Compound that deployment, the tent icon may not be active. Don’t waste time entering a cleared Compound with an already-looted Safe.
    • Keep radiation in mind near Foxtrot. The Haneul Nuclear Reactor’s radiation zone extends into the northern map area near Compound Foxtrot. If you see the radiation warning start ticking, move south immediately.
    • Don’t ignore the Compound’s vehicles. Some Compounds spawn vehicles you can steal and use to reach your Exfil faster or push another POI. After clearing, check the perimeter for a usable car or truck.
    • Use Compounds for the Open a Safe DMZ Order. If you have this Order active, hitting any Compound is the fastest and most reliable way to complete it. Enter, clear, open the Safe — done. Check the Radio Tower guide to combine this run with a Lieutenant ping for maximum deployment efficiency.
    • Watch for player squads after clearing. Compound gunfights are loud. Other players hear the extended firefight and know exactly what’s happening. After clearing, loot fast and move — don’t sit in the Compound looting slowly while a squad closes in on your position.
