MW4 DMZ: How to Get the Dynamic Op Phone (Cheongun Village Guide)

MW4 DMZ How to Get the Dynamic Op Phone

    TL;DR – Quick Takeaways:

    • The Dynamic Op Phone is not a physical pickup item — it’s a green phone terminal on the Hajin map that launches a Dynamic Operation.
    • Deploy into Free Roam, not Dynamic Operations — or your objective won’t register.
    • Head to Cheongun Village (around x: 2106, y: 2015) in the north of Hajin.
    • Open your Tac-Map, find a green phone icon, travel to it, and hold interact to collect it.
    • Just picking up the phone completes the “Collect a Dynamic Op Phone” objective. You don’t have to finish the whole op.
    • The op type is randomised — you might get Dead Man’s Cache, Sky Heist, or another mission.

What Is the Dynamic Op Phone in MW4 DMZ?

A lot of players scratch their heads the first time they see “Collect a Dynamic Op Phone” in their DMZ Orders. You might spend ten minutes running around Cheongun Village looking for something on the ground. Nothing.

That’s because the Dynamic Op Phone isn’t a loot item you pick up from a shelf. It’s a field contract terminal — a physical phone device sitting inside a building, marked on the map with a green icon. When you interact with it, you launch a Dynamic Operation right then and there in the middle of your deployment.

Think of it as an in-world contract board. The phone rings, you answer it, and a mission starts. Simple once you know what you’re actually looking for.

These phones appear all across the Hajin map and their exact positions shift every match. There’s no single guaranteed spawn you can memorise. But there are usually enough of them spread around that you’ll spot one quickly if you know how to look.

Where to Find the Dynamic Op Phone in Cheongun Village

MW4 DMZ How to Get the Dynamic Op Phone 1

For the Operation Rewards order on DMZ Orders Page 4 — and for the Payment Due order on Human Intel 2/2 — the game specifically asks you to collect a phone in Cheongun Village. Any other village won’t count for those objectives.

Cheongun Village sits in the northwest corner of the South Korea section of Hajin, close to the casino and hospital. On the Tac-Map, look for coordinates around x: 2106, y: 2015.

Here’s how to get there and find the phone:

    • From your spawn point, grab a civilian vehicle (sedan or truck) if you can — it gets you there faster.
    • Open your Tac-Map as you move and zoom in on Cheongun Village using R1 (PlayStation) or RB (Xbox).
    • Look for a small green phone or radio icon inside the village boundary.
    • If you see the icon but aren’t sure of the exact building, listen — the phone makes a distinct beeping sound you can follow to its location.
    • Enter the building, walk up to the phone device, and hold the interact button to pick it up.

The moment you hold interact, “Collect a Dynamic Op Phone in Cheongun Village” ticks off your orders. That’s all it takes.

Why You Must Deploy in Free Roam (Not Dynamic Operations)

This is the number one mistake players make. If you select Dynamic Operations from the deploy screen, the game automatically assigns you a mission the second you land. You never touch a phone — so the “Collect a Dynamic Op Phone” objective gets no credit.

Always choose Free Roam (the third option on the deploy screen). This drops you into Hajin with no mission pre-assigned, so you’re free to run straight to Cheongun Village and interact with a phone yourself.

Once you activate the phone in Free Roam, the Dynamic Op starts and any cash you earn from that point does count toward your earnings total. So you’re not wasting the run — you just need to trigger it the right way.

What Happens After You Collect the Dynamic Op Phone

As soon as you interact with the phone, a card appears on screen naming the operation and showing its threat level for that area. The op is randomised each match, so you might get:

    • Dead Man’s Cache — collect an Encrypted Drive from a care package, moves across several areas
    • Sky Heist — ends with your squad flying out of Hajin in a captured helicopter
    • Chemical Denial — starts with a power outage and leads to Lieutenant Bale in a bunker
    • Other operation types that rotate in

Your HUD will show the operation name and current objective under your minimap on the left side of the screen. Just follow the marker step by step.

When the op is done, you get an OPERATION COMPLETE banner, XP, and cash deposited immediately. A Supply Drop (a Dynamic Op Crate) also appears nearby — which is what you need to loot for the third task in the Operation Rewards order.

How to Complete the Operation Rewards Order (DMZ Orders Page 4)

The Operation Rewards order (Order 01 on DMZ Orders Page 4) has three tasks that chain together naturally from a single phone pickup in Cheongun Village:

    • Collect a Dynamic Op Phone in Cheongun Village — done the moment you activate the phone
    • Complete a Dynamic Op — done when you see the OPERATION COMPLETE screen
    • Loot a Dynamic Op Crate — done when you open the care package that drops after completion

One run in Cheongun Village clears all three. Don’t overthink it — pick up the phone, finish the op, loot the crate.

How to Complete Payment Due (Human Intel 2/2 Order)

The Payment Due order on Human Intel 2/2 has two tasks:

    • Collect a Dynamic Op Phone — pick up any phone from inside a building in Hajin
    • Earn 11,500 Cash from completing Dynamic Ops — this one takes multiple runs

One completed Dynamic Op pays out roughly $7,500 to $10,000+ depending on the mission. So you’ll need at least two ops to hit the 11,500 mark. The counter tracks your earnings across multiple deployments, so you don’t have to do it all in one run.

A key thing to know: the cash counter can hit 11,500 while an op is still in progress. Both tasks will tick as complete at that point, even before you finish every stage.

Completing Dynamic Ops is also one of the fastest ways to earn cash in DMZ overall. Each completed op pays between $10,000 and $20,000 and drops a Supply Crate with gear that gets rarer the more ops you complete in the same deployment. If you want to grind cash efficiently, chaining ops back-to-back is smart play.

Tips to Find the Dynamic Op Phone Faster

    • Grab a vehicle immediately after spawning. Cheongun Village is in the northwest — driving saves time.
    • Open your Tac-Map early and zoom in before you even reach the village. This lets you spot the green icon and plan your exact approach.
    • Ping the icon if you’re close but can’t see the building — it marks the phone with a distance tracker that counts down as you approach.
    • Listen for the beeping sound. The phone makes a consistent beep that gets louder as you get closer. Very useful inside buildings.
    • Don’t rush past the timer. Once the op starts, a radiation countdown begins. You have plenty of time, but don’t dawdle in one area too long.
    • If you already have an active op running when you land, you can’t start a new one until it’s done. Finish the current op first.

    Dynamic Op Phone FAQ

Why isn’t my “Collect a Dynamic Op Phone” order counting?

Almost always the same reason — you deployed into Dynamic Operations instead of Free Roam. When you queue as Dynamic Operations, the game starts your op before you ever reach a phone. Switch to Free Roam and trigger the phone yourself in the map.

Do I have to finish the Dynamic Op after collecting the phone?

No. Collecting the phone (interacting with it) is enough to tick the “Collect a Dynamic Op Phone” objective. You can exfil after that if you just need the phone checkmark and nothing else. But if you’re also working on the Operation Rewards order or the Payment Due cash requirement, you’ll want to complete the op.

Can I collect the phone from any location, or just Cheongun Village?

For the Operation Rewards order (Page 4) and the Payment Due order (Human Intel 2/2), you need the phone specifically from Cheongun Village or from within Hajin depending on the order. Check your exact order text — it will name the location if one is required.

How much cash does one Dynamic Op pay?

It varies by operation and threat level. A low-threat op like Dead Man’s Cache paid around $7,500 in testing. Higher-threat ops can push to $10,000–$20,000. The game deposits it to your Bank automatically when the op completes.

Do Dynamic Op phones respawn in the same match?

Phone locations shift between matches, not within one. Once you’ve activated a phone in a deployment, that specific terminal is gone. But there are usually multiple green icons across the map during any match, so you can chain ops by finding a new phone at a different location.
