What Is the Krall Warshaman Pet in Aion 2?
The Krall Warshaman is a Common rarity Cogni-type pet in Aion 2. It belongs to the Cogni genus — one of five pet families in the game, alongside Fera, Natura, Varian, and Special.
Like all Cogni pets, the Warshaman is part of the Krall creature family. The Krall are an enemy faction found across multiple zones in both Elyos and Asmodian territory, making their pets some of the more accessible ones to farm early and mid-game.
The Krall Warshaman is available to both factions — Elyos and Asmodian players can both unlock and use it. It cannot be traded, so you have to earn it yourself.
Beyond the stats, this pet also serves as a mount once unlocked, and eventually lets you transform into the Warshaman’s appearance — which is a fun visual on top of the practical benefits.

Krall Warshaman Pet Insight Levels and Stats
Every pet in Aion 2 uses the Pet Insight system. You level it up by farming more souls from the corresponding mob. Each new level unlocks better bonuses and a new ability.
Here is exactly what the Krall Warshaman gives you at each Pet Insight level:
Pet Insight Level 1 – Mount
- Ability Unlocked: Mount
- Owned Effect: +10 HP
- Genus Insight EXP Granted: +500
- Souls Needed to Reach Lv. 2: 25
Pet Insight Level 2 – Mount Glide
- Ability Unlocked: Mount Glide
- Owned Effect: +20 HP, +1 Critical Hit
- Genus Insight EXP Granted: +250
- Souls Needed to Reach Lv. 3: 75
Pet Insight Level 3 – Transform (Global Max)
- Ability Unlocked: Transform
- Owned Effect: +30 HP, +2 Critical Hit, +1 Might
- Genus Insight EXP Granted: +250
- Status: Highest level available in the global version
At full max, the Krall Warshaman gives you +30 HP, +2 Critical Hit, and +1 Might as a permanent owned effect. These bonuses stack with every other pet in your collection, so every pet you max out adds more to your overall character strength.
The Transform ability at Lv. 3 is also worth noting. Once you unlock it, equip the pet and use Empathy Candy (Bound) to temporarily transform into the Warshaman’s appearance. It is a cosmetic effect but also a sign that the pet is fully leveled.

Total Souls Needed to Max the Krall Warshaman
Here is the full soul count broken down clearly:
- 5 souls — Unlock the pet (Pet Insight Lv. 1)
- +25 souls — Upgrade to Pet Insight Lv. 2
- +75 souls — Upgrade to Pet Insight Lv. 3 (max)
- Total: 105 souls to fully max the Krall Warshaman
Souls do not have a 100% drop rate on every kill, so plan for some grinding. The Krall are common mobs though, so your farming sessions will not feel wasted — especially if you are also completing quests or duty missions in the same area.
How to Get the Krall Warshaman Pet in Aion 2
There are three main ways to get the Krall Warshaman. Here is how each one works.
Method 1 – Farm Pet Souls from Krall Warshaman Mobs
This is the most direct method. Find Krall Warshaman enemies in the open world and kill them until you collect enough souls to unlock and level the pet.
How to find the mob:
- Open your Pets menu and find the Krall Warshaman entry.
- Click the Source tab — it puts a marker directly on the map pointing to the spawn area.
- Krall-type mobs are found across Verteron (Elyos territory) and related Krall stronghold zones. The Verteron Fortress Ruins area in particular is packed with Krall enemies at various levels.
The Source tab is the most reliable way to track down any pet’s mob. Never guess the location — just check the tab and follow the marker.
Method 2 – Ascension Trials
The Krall Warshaman can also be obtained from Ascension Trials. There are 8 Ascension Trials in total that can drop this pet or its souls. This is a passive way to collect it — just do your trials normally and check your rewards.
This method is great if you are already running Ascension Trials as part of your regular progression loop. You may get lucky and unlock the Warshaman without any dedicated farming at all.
Method 3 – Pet Chest: Cogni (Bound)
The Krall Warshaman is one of around 40 Cogni pets inside the Pet Chest: Cogni (Bound). If you open one of these chests, there is a chance you pull the Warshaman directly.
Pet Chests come from several sources:
- Ascension Trials rewards
- Daily and attendance rewards
- In-game events
- The Daeva Pass (Season rewards)
- The Atelier Shop
- Shugo Festival
- Dungeon boss drops
- Black Cloud Merchants
Because the chest is Bound, it cannot be traded between players. But if you are regularly collecting these chests through events and daily rewards, you will naturally build up Cogni pets — including the Warshaman — over time.
For tips on making the most of chests, see our Aion 2 Pet Selection Chest Guide.
How to Unlock the Pet System First
If you have not unlocked pets yet, you need to do that before you can start farming the Krall Warshaman.
The pet system opens after you complete the early main story quest. For Elyos, it is the quest “All Geared Up”. For Asmodians, it is “Gathering Essentials”. Both become available around level 10 to 11.
Once done, you will receive your first pet and the full pet menu opens up. From there, you can track, farm, and level any pet in the game — including the Krall Warshaman.

What Is the Cogni Genus and Why Does It Matter?
The Cogni genus covers creature types like the Krall, Klaw, and Kerubar families. All Cogni pets give the same type of bonuses: HP, Critical Hit, and Might. The Krall Warshaman fits right into this pattern.
When you defeat a Cogni mob whose pet you have already maxed in your collection, it drops Cogni Soul Crystals — the blue crystals used in the Genus Insight system.
Genus Insight is a second progression layer on top of the pet levels. It lets you unlock up to 10 random bonus effects per genus type. The more Cogni mobs you kill — even after maxing a pet — the more blue crystals you collect, and the higher you can push your Cogni Genus Insight.
Quick tip: Cogni crystals are relatively easy to farm compared to rainbow crystals. Most players save their rainbow (joker) crystals for the Special genus area of Genus Insight, and spend Cogni crystals freely.
Why Is the Krall Warshaman Worth Farming?
The Krall Warshaman might be a Common pet, but that does not make it unimportant. Here is why it is worth adding to your collection:
- Permanent passive stats: The +30 HP, +2 Critical Hit, and +1 Might bonuses never go away. They stay active even when you swap to a different pet.
- Cogni collection count: Every Cogni pet you add counts toward collection milestones. Rewards trigger at 5 pets, then every 10 pets after that up to 500. The Warshaman is one more step toward each milestone.
- Genus Insight EXP: Unlocking and leveling the Warshaman feeds EXP into your Cogni Genus Insight. At Lv. 1 it gives +500 EXP, and at Lv. 2 and Lv. 3 it gives +250 EXP each — helping you unlock more bonus effects over time.
- Mount and Glide: From the moment you unlock it at Lv. 1, you can ride the Warshaman. At Lv. 2 it gains Glide. Practical travel benefits alongside the stats.
- Transform: At Lv. 3 (max), you can transform into the Warshaman’s look. A nice reward for maxing it out.

Tips to Farm the Krall Warshaman Pet Faster
Grinding 105 souls takes some time. Here are a few ways to make it go quicker:
- Always check the Source tab first: The map marker tells you exactly where to go. Do not wander around guessing — open Pets, find the Warshaman, and tap Source.
- Combine with duty missions: Many missions in Verteron and nearby zones require killing Krall enemies anyway. Kill two birds with one stone — collect souls while progressing missions. See our Best Duty Missions guide for which ones to prioritize.
- Farm multiple Krall pets at once: The Krall Warrior, Krall Warshaman, and Krall Laborer all share similar spawn areas. You can collect souls for all three in the same farming session.
- Use your pet to auto-loot: Equip any pet and it will pick up drops automatically, including souls. This removes the need to manually loot every kill and keeps your farming pace fast.
- Collect chests passively: Log in daily to collect attendance rewards and event chests. Pet Chest: Cogni drops from multiple sources without any extra grinding required.
- Share progress across alts: On the same server, all characters share pet ownership and Genus Insight. Time spent on your main character benefits your alts — no duplicate grinding needed.

How the Krall Warshaman Fits Into Your Full Pet Collection
The pet collection in Aion 2 rewards you for having many pets, not just a few strong ones. The Krall Warshaman is a solid mid-tier Cogni pick that is easy to farm and contributes to your overall collection score.
Think of the pet system less like gear and more like a long-term passive stat investment. Each pet you add — including Common ones like the Warshaman — brings you one step closer to the next collection milestone and pushes your Cogni Genus Insight higher.
The goal is to spread your farming wide, not deep. It is better to unlock many pets to Lv. 1 first, then come back to push them to Lv. 3, rather than maxing one pet and ignoring the rest. The Krall Warshaman is a good target early because it is accessible and gives decent Genus Insight EXP at Lv. 1.
