Get it by farming Pet Souls from Krall Laborer mobs near the Destroyed Abyss Gate (Asmodian area).

What Is the Krall Laborer Pet in Aion 2?

The Krall Laborer is a Cogni-type pet in Aion 2. It belongs to the Cogni genus family, which is one of the five main pet categories in the game — alongside Fera, Natura, Varian, and Special.

Like all Cogni pets, the Krall Laborer gives you HP, Critical Hit, and Might as passive bonuses when you add it to your collection. These bonuses stay active permanently, even when the pet is not equipped.

This pet is available to both Elyos and Asmodian players. You can use it as a mount too, which is a nice bonus on top of the stat buffs.

Krall Laborer Pet Insight Levels and Stats

Every pet in Aion 2 has a Pet Insight system. As you level up the pet, you unlock better stat bonuses and new abilities. Here is what the Krall Laborer gives you at each level:

Status: Highest level in the global version

So in total, a fully maxed Krall Laborer at Level 3 gives you +30 HP, +2 Critical Hit, and +1 Might as a permanent owned effect. Not massive on its own, but every pet stacks together — and that adds up fast across your full collection.

Note: In the Korean and Taiwanese versions of Aion 2, pets can reach up to Level 5. At Level 5, the Krall Laborer reportedly gives +60 HP, +1 Might, +1 Intelligence, +5 Critical Hit, and +10 Cogni Damage Boost. These higher tiers are not yet available in the global version.

How to Get the Krall Laborer Pet in Aion 2

There are two main ways to get the Krall Laborer. The first is farming, and the second is getting it from a chest. Here is how both work.

Method 1 – Farm Pet Souls from Krall Laborer Mobs

The most reliable way is to kill Krall Laborer mobs in the open world. Each kill has a chance to drop a Pet Soul, and you need to collect enough of them to unlock and level up the pet.

Where to find the Krall Laborer mob:

The Krall Laborer spawns in the area above the Destroyed Abyss Gate, on the Asmodian side of the map.
You can also find various Krall-type Cogni mobs in the Verteron region, particularly around Verteron Fortress Ruins and related zones.

Tip: Open the Source tab inside the Pets menu. It puts a marker on the map that points directly to the Krall Laborer’s spawn area. No guessing needed.

Here is how many souls you need in total:

5 souls — Unlock the pet (Pet Insight Lv. 1)
+25 souls — Reach Pet Insight Lv. 2
+75 souls — Reach Pet Insight Lv. 3 (max globally)
Total: 105 souls to fully max the Krall Laborer

The drop rate is not guaranteed on every kill, so expect to grind for a while. The good news is that Cogni mobs are common, so you will not have to travel far.

Method 2 – Pet Chest: Cogni (Bound)

You can also get the Krall Laborer from the Pet Chest: Cogni (Bound). This chest has around 40 different Cogni pets inside, and the Krall Laborer is one of them.

Pet Chests come from:

Ascension Trials
Daily rewards
Events and attendance rewards
The Daeva Pass
The Atelier Shop and Shugo Festival
Dungeon bosses

Because the chest is Bound, you cannot trade it between players. But it is a solid shortcut if you are lucky enough to pull the Krall Laborer from it directly.

How to Unlock the Pet System in Aion 2

You cannot use pets from the start of the game. The pet system unlocks after you complete the early main story quest called “All Geared Up” (for Elyos) or “Gathering Essentials” (for Asmodians). Both are recommended around level 10 to 11.

Once unlocked, you will receive your first pet and gain access to the full pet menu. From there, you can start tracking and farming any pet in the game — including the Krall Laborer.

What Is the Cogni Pet Genus in Aion 2?

The Cogni genus is one of the five pet families in Aion 2. It covers creature types like the Krall, Klaw, Kerubar, and similar mobs found mostly in the Verteron and early-game zones.

All Cogni pets share the same Pet Insight bonuses: HP, Critical Hit, and Might. When you level up any Cogni pet, it contributes Cogni Soul Crystals (blue crystals) to your Genus Insight system.

Genus Insight is a second layer of progression that opens up after you max out a pet. It lets you unlock up to 10 extra effects per genus type, using crystals you farm by defeating mobs from that genus in the open world.

Important tip: Since Cogni crystals are fairly easy to farm, many players recommend saving your rarer rainbow crystals for the Special genus area of Genus Insight instead. Invest your Cogni crystals freely.

Why the Krall Laborer Is Worth Adding to Your Collection

You might wonder — is the Krall Laborer actually worth farming? The short answer is yes, for a few reasons.

Permanent passive bonuses: Every pet you collect adds stats to your character that never go away. Even a small HP or Critical Hit boost matters when you stack it with dozens of other pets.
Cogni collection progress: The Krall Laborer adds to your Cogni pet count, which unlocks pet collection milestones at 5 pets, then every 10 pets after that up to 500.
Genus Insight EXP: Each level gained on the Krall Laborer feeds EXP into your Cogni Genus Insight, helping you unlock more random bonus effects over time.
It doubles as a mount: Once you hit Pet Insight Lv. 1, you can ride the Krall Laborer. At Lv. 2, it gains Glide. At Lv. 3, you can Transform into it using Empathy Candy.

Tips to Farm the Krall Laborer Pet Faster

Farming 105 souls takes time. Here are some ways to speed it up:

Use the Source tab: Always check the pet’s Source tab in the Pets menu. It marks the exact spawn point on the map so you go straight to the mobs.
Farm while completing missions: Duty missions in Verteron sometimes require you to kill Krall-type enemies anyway. You can farm souls and complete missions at the same time. See our Best Duty Missions guide for which missions to prioritize.
Let your pet auto-loot: Once you have a pet equipped, it picks up drops automatically. This shortens downtime between kills and makes grinding much smoother.
Share progress across characters: On the same server, all your characters share pet ownership and Genus Insight. Work done on your main character benefits your alts too.
Check cube bundles and daily rewards: Pet Souls can also drop from cube bundles, Black Cloud Merchants, and daily login rewards. Collect these consistently to chip away at your soul count passively.
