Hidden Treasure Map Pieces in Crimson Desert are some of the best side content in the game. No waypoints. No hand-holding. Just a hand-drawn sketch and an open world full of waterfalls, secret walls, and caves that look completely ordinary until you start throwing Force Palms at them.
Map Piece 1 is a solid introduction to how this system works. It takes you into a hidden cave, throws a boss at you, and then makes you find a rotating wall before the real reward shows up. Here is every step from picking up the map to opening the chest.
How Hidden Treasure Maps Work in Crimson Desert
Before jumping in, it helps to know the basics. Hidden Treasure Map Pieces are key items you find scattered across Pywel — on tables, in tents, inside crypts, and from certain bosses. Each one shows a hand-drawn sketch of a specific location in the world. There are no text clues and no map markers. You have to interpret the drawing and find the spot yourself.
Once you reach the right location, the treasure is almost always hidden behind an environmental obstacle — a secret wall, a waterfall entrance, a bookshelf, or a false floor. The map gives you visual context; the environment gives you the obstacle.
There are 12 confirmed Hidden Treasure Map Pieces in the game. You can find them in any order. For the full list, our hidden treasure map piece 7 guide covers another entry in the series.
Where to Find Hidden Treasure Map Piece 1

Location: Bellanor Beacon, south of Drakesfall Gorge, northern Demeniss region.
Head to Bellanor Beacon, a small camp area situated south of Drakesfall Gorge. When you reach the camp, look for a white tent positioned beside the cooking cauldron. Walk inside and take the parchment from the table. That is Hidden Treasure Map Piece 1.
The sketch on the map shows a waterfall that appears to conceal a cave entrance. It also depicts a gate between two tall walls and a faded green leaf marking on the wall — that is the visual hint for the hidden wall you will need to find inside.

Hidden Treasure Map Piece 1 — Treasure Location
The treasure is located far from where you picked up the map. Head southeast of the Hills of No Return. You can reach the area by heading south from Arboria Castle.
On your map, find the spot where two rivers intersect. Near that intersection, there is a waterfall. This is your target. The cave you need is right beside that river intersection, facing the two waterfalls.

How to enter the cave: Do not try to walk through the waterfall. Instead, glide down slowly into the narrow gap between the waterfall and the cliff face. The opening is tight but it is there. Once you slip through, you will enter a passage that leads deeper inside.

Swim through the water inside and follow the path until you reach an archway. Keep going. The area opens up into a larger cave space — this is the Silent Falls Hideout, and a boss is waiting inside.
How to Beat the Grave Walker
The Grave Walker is the boss guarding the treasure inside the cave. It is made up of boulders and rocks that form into a creature and attack you. It looks intimidating but there is a clear gimmick to defeating it fast.
The key is the yellow stun meter. Attack the Grave Walker repeatedly to build up its stun gauge. Force Palm strikes are especially effective for filling it quickly. Once the meter is full, the Grave Walker collapses and breaks apart into separate pieces scattered on the ground.
When it falls apart, attack each individual piece as fast as you can. This is when you deal the heaviest damage. The Grave Walker will eventually reassemble and you repeat the process until it is dead.
When it goes down, it drops a Power Core. Pick it up using Axiom Force. This is a random drop used in Kuku crafting recipes. For more on those, see our Kuku Pack crafting guide.
If you are struggling and finding the Grave Walker too tough for your current gear level, take a break and do some upgrades first. Our how to increase attack level guide and how to get better equipment guide are good starting points.
How to Find the Hidden Room
This is the part that trips most people up. Defeating the Grave Walker is not enough — the treasure is still hidden behind a secret wall.

After the boss is dead, turn to face the locked gate on the east side of the room. To the right of that gate, there is a tall wall you can climb. Climb up it. At the top, press and hold Resist so your character clings to the wall surface with their dagger. You need to be gripping the wall for the next step to work.
While clinging to the wall, use Force Palm. This rotates the wall panel, flipping you through to the other side into a hidden chamber. If Force Palm keeps pushing you away instead of rotating the wall, make sure you are holding Resist properly first before using it.
The sketch on the map showing the green leaf on the wall in the upper right corner is pointing directly at this spot. Use your Lantern to illuminate the wall if you are having trouble spotting the exact panel — shining it into the upper-right corner of the wall will reveal the faded green leaf mark that confirms you are in the right place.
Once you flip through, the hidden room is right there. Open the chest inside.
Reward: Scorchflame Plate Cloak and Refined Palmar Pill
The chest contains two items:
Scorchflame Plate Cloak — A piece of the Scorchflame armor set. This is a plate-type cloak with solid defensive stats and is part of a larger fire-themed armor collection. If you are hunting the full set, our Scorchflame Flame Knight Armor Set all locations guide covers every piece and where to find them.
Refined Palmar Pill — A high-quality revival consumable. This revives you automatically in a critical moment during combat, making it genuinely useful to hold onto for tough boss fights ahead. For more on how Palmar Pills work, see our how to get and use Palmar Pills guide.

Tips for Treasure Hunting in Crimson Desert
A few things worth knowing before you tackle more map pieces:
Force Palm is your best friend. A large number of hidden rooms and secret passages across Pywel open by using Force Palm on specific walls, floors, or panels. If you are stuck at a dead end near a treasure location, try Force Palm on every suspicious surface around you.
Waterfalls always hide something. In this game, if you see a waterfall, there is a very good chance a cave, passage, or collectible is behind or beside it. Use a Pierce/Stab attack (R2 + Triangle on PlayStation, RT + Y on Xbox) to push through falling water into hidden cave entrances.
Use your Lantern. The Lantern is essential for revealing hidden markings, green leaf symbols, and faded clues on walls. Before giving up on a wall or floor, shine the Lantern on it and look for anything that appears.
The treasure is rarely near the map. Do not waste time searching around Bellanor Beacon after picking up Piece 1. The map almost always sends you to a completely different part of the world. Read the sketch carefully and match it to real terrain features on your map.
