Silent Falls Hideout is one of Crimson Desert’s best-kept secrets. It’s a hidden cave tucked behind a waterfall in the northeast corner of Hernand, right on the border with Demeniss. There’s no quest pointing you here, no map marker, and no NPC to tell you it exists. Players who find it stumble into a boss fight, a secret room, a unique weapon, and a piece of rare armor. Here’s the full walkthrough from entrance to every reward.
Silent Falls Hideout Location
The hideout sits in the northeastern area of Hernand, near the Hook Rapids area, right next to Twilight Grotto. It lies along the border between the Hernand and Demeniss regions — well to the northeast of the City of Hernand. On the map, look northeast of Karin Quarry. An Abyss Cresset is positioned to the northwest of the cave entrance if you’ve activated it, and a Nexus point sits further north. Those two landmarks help you get your bearings when approaching.
The entrance is not obvious. It’s hidden behind where two waterfalls converge, and if you’re just riding past, it looks like an ordinary cliff and river intersection.
How to Enter Silent Falls Hideout
From the village of Hills of No Return, look west to spot a set of waterfalls dropping down into a ravine. Make your way to the ravine where the twin waterfalls pour down. Drop down carefully into the chasm — glide slowly between the waterfall and the cliff face to avoid taking fall damage.
Once you’re at the base, you’ll see water pooling at the bottom. Swim into the cave opening along the inner cave wall. Follow the path through the water and continue past an archway. The tunnel opens up into a larger cave space. This is the main chamber of the Silent Falls Hideout — and a boss is waiting inside.
If you’ve already activated the Twilight Grotto or have fast travel nearby, you can also approach from the right side of Twilight Grotto. A cave entrance there leads directly into the Silent Falls Hideout chamber.
Boss Fight: The Grave Walker
The Grave Walker is a World Boss guarding the hideout’s treasures. It’s constructed from boulders and rock that animate into a hulking stone creature. It looks intimidating, but there’s a clear gimmick to defeating it quickly.
How to Beat the Grave Walker
The Grave Walker has a yellow stun meter sitting below its health bar. Your goal is to fill that meter through repeated attacks. Force Palm strikes are particularly effective at building the gauge fast, so use them whenever you can. Regular weapon strikes also contribute, so mix in your normal combos between Force Palms.
When the stun meter fills, the Grave Walker collapses and breaks apart — its body scatters into several separate boulder pieces on the cave floor. The moment it falls apart, switch to attacking each individual piece as fast as possible. This is the phase where you deal the most damage. Hit every piece you can see before it reassembles.
After reassembling, the Grave Walker returns to normal and you repeat the process. Two full stun cycles is usually enough to kill it depending on your attack level and gear.
During the fight, watch for two key attacks. The first is a tornado spin — the boss launches itself at you in a rotating stone charge. Dodge left or right to avoid it. The second is an overhead two-arm slam that deals heavy damage. When you see both arms raise, back up immediately and wait for the strike to land before closing in again.
The Grave Walker has a very slow turn rate, which works heavily in your favor. After dodging any of its attacks, circle quickly behind it and attack from the rear. From behind, you can land multiple hits before it manages to turn around. Staying mobile and attacking from the back is the fastest and safest approach to the whole fight.

Grave Walker Drops
When the Grave Walker dies, it drops Abyss Gears — specifically Insight I and Vigor I — along with a Decent Copper Pouch. These Abyss Gears can be slotted into your equipment to gain passive bonuses. How to Get the Sorcerer’s Staff
After the Grave Walker is dead, look at the far end of the boss room. You’ll see a locked gate with iron bars, flanked on either side by two stone lanterns.
Interact with each lantern to light it — on PlayStation it’s Square, on Xbox it’s X. Light both and the gate will unlock, swinging open. Walk through and pick up the Sorcerer’s Staff from inside the room. This two-handed weapon functions more like a spear than a magic staff despite its name, but it’s one of the better two-handed weapon finds available at this stage of the game and is easy to miss if you don’t know about the lantern mechanic.
Don’t leave the cave without doing this. Many players beat the Grave Walker and leave without realizing the Sorcerer’s Staff is sitting behind a door they never opened.
How to Get the Scorchflame Plate Cloak (Secret Room)
This is the most hidden reward in the entire location. After the Grave Walker fight, the secret room is not obvious at all — most players walk right past it.
Face the locked gate in the east of the boss chamber. Look to the right of the gate. There’s a wall you can climb. Scale up the wall to the top.
At the top, press and hold the Resist input to cling to the wall (L2 on PlayStation / LT on Xbox). While clinging, use Force Palm (R3 on PlayStation / press the right stick on Xbox). This rotates the wall panel, flipping you into a hidden chamber on the other side.
If you have a Lantern, shine it on the upper right corner of the wall before climbing — a faded green leaf marking will appear, confirming this is the right spot.
Inside the secret room is a Treasure Chest. Open it to get the Scorchflame Plate Cloak and a Refined Palmar Pill.
The Scorchflame Plate Cloak is a fire-themed plate armor piece with solid defensive stats. Note that this piece cannot be upgraded with standard materials, and Abyss Gears cannot be slotted into it. Connection to Hidden Treasure Map Piece 1
The Silent Falls Hideout is also the destination for Hidden Treasure Map Piece 1 in Crimson Desert. The map piece is found at Bellanor Beacon, south of Drakesfall Gorge in northern Demeniss — look for it inside a white tent on a table. The sketch on the map shows a waterfall hiding a cave entrance. Tips Before You Go In
Eat a meal before entering. The Grave Walker can hit hard if you’re under-geared, and a stamina or health food buff gives you extra cushion. Our best healing food guide covers what to cook before tough encounters.
Check your gear before engaging. This cave sits near the Hernand-Demeniss border, and if you’re venturing here before Chapter 8, enemies in the surrounding area can be tough.
