What Are the Nine-Touched Triumphs in Destiny 2?
The Nine-Touched triumphs are a set of seven challenges added in the Monument of Triumph update. Each one sends you into a specific Lost Sector across the Sol system. Inside, you need to find and destroy a red corruption node. This triggers a special encounter with a Nine-Touched version of the Lost Sector boss. Defeat that boss to earn the triumph and 15 Legendary Marks per completion.
These triumphs are part of the Stories: The Nine category. Completing all seven contributes toward the full Stories: The Nine triumph, which rewards 50 Legendary Marks.
Before you start, make sure you enter each Lost Sector through the regular entrance. Do not use the Lost Sector banner outside the entrance. Launching from the flag starts a harder difficulty version and the corruptions still appear, but the normal version is much faster to clear if you just want the triumphs.
All Seven Nine-Touched Triumph Locations
1. Ak-Baral, Nine-Touched — Cosmodrome (Veles Labyrinth)
Ak-Baral, Nine-Touched, can be found in the Cosmodrome. Head east from the Skywatch to reach the Forgotten Shore, where you can jump into the rusted boat to reach the Veles Labyrinth Lost Sector. Once inside, progress until you pass the first spell-locked door section. Look for the red corruption node on the wall and shoot it to trigger the encounter. Continue through the rest of the Lost Sector, defeat Ak-Baral, Nine-Touched at the end, and the triumph is yours.
Veles Labyrinth has multiple spell-locked barriers that require you to find and shoot hidden wall buttons to proceed. Take your time clearing Hive enemies and watch out for Exploding Thrall in tight corridors.

2. Yann, Nine-Touched — EDZ (Quarry Lost Sector)
Yann, Nine-Touched, is found in the EDZ. Yann is specifically found in the Quarry Lost Sector located in the Sunken Isles, which you can find in the far north-west area of the EDZ. The Lost Sector is in a small gap when facing east, and inside, you’ll find the corruption. Destroy the red corruption to trigger the Nine-Touched encounter. Keep progressing through the sector and defeat the corrupted Fortifier Yann at the end to complete the triumph.
Use the Sunken Isles landing zone for the fastest travel route to the Quarry entrance. The Lost Sector symbol above the narrow tunnel marks the entrance.

3. Talas, Nine-Touched — Nessus (The Rift Lost Sector)
Talas, Nine-Touched, is found on Nessus. You can locate this boss in The Rift Lost Sector, which is located in the west region of Exodus Black, which you can use as a landing zone. Inside this cave, you can find your distortion to begin your hunt for the boss. Land at Exodus Black, head west, and enter The Rift. Destroy the red corruption node inside, then push through to the end and defeat Tattered Dusk Captain Talas to complete the triumph.

4. Nightmare of Arguth, Nine-Touched — Moon (K1 Revelation)
Nightmare of Arguth, Nine-Touched, can be found on the Moon in the K1 Revelation Lost Sector, which is located in Sorrow’s Harbor. Travel south from the first “R” in “Harbor” to find a small cave. Use the Sorrow’s Harbor fast travel point and enter through the hidden tunnel in the cave. Once inside, destroy the red corruption node to start the sequence.
This Lost Sector works differently from the others. After destroying the red blight, defeat hostiles with yellow health bars to unlock crystals floating in the sky. Destroy three such crystals to initiate the fight with Nightmare of Arguth, The Tormented. Once all three crystals are down, the fourth crystal above the boss loses its shield. Shoot it to summon the boss and defeat it to earn the triumph.
5. Inkasi, Nine-Touched — Dreaming City (Chamber of Starlight)
Inkasi, Nine-Touched, is found in the Dreaming City. You can reach this boss through the Chamber of Starlight Lost Sector, which is in the south area of Rheasilvia. It’s below the bridge and in a cave, and when you destroy the corruption, the boss will be waiting for you at the end.
Use the Divalian Mists landing zone and head left using your Sparrow. Follow the path until you find a tunnel that crosses over to a bridge above a waterfall. Dismount and jump down toward the waterfall to find the Cave entrance to the Lost Sector. Destroy the red corruption inside and defeat Inkasi at the end of the sector to complete the triumph.

6. Teliks, Nine-Touched — Europa (Concealed Void)
The Teliks, Nine-Touched triumph requires destroying a corruption inside the Concealed Void Lost Sector on Europa. Concealed Void is located in the Asterion Abyss region of Europa. Destroy the red corruption node near the start of the Lost Sector before progressing. Defeat the final boss to complete the triumph and receive credit.
Travel from Cadmus Ridge toward Asterion Abyss. The Concealed Void entrance is visible in the open underneath the ice in the western region of the area. Enter the Lost Sector without using the banner flag, destroy the corruption near the entrance, and clear through to the end to face Teliks, House Salvation.
The triumph should unlock immediately after the boss is defeated. You do not need to loot the reward chest for triumph completion.

7. Bar-Zel, Nine-Touched — Throne World (Sepulcher)
Bar-Zel, Nine-Touched, is located on Savathun’s Throne World. You can find this boss in the Sepulcher Lost Sector, which is located in the Florescent Canal, northeast of Quagmire. When you enter the Lost Sector, make sure you look up and destroy the corruption. Use the Quagmire landing zone and head northeast toward Florescent Canal. Enter Sepulcher, look up for the red corruption node near the entrance area, destroy it, then fight through to defeat Bar-Zel at the end.

Tips for Completing Nine-Touched Triumphs Faster
- Always enter through the normal entrance, not the banner. The banner outside each Lost Sector launches a harder Legend or Master version. The corruption appears in the normal version and the run is much faster without Champions and punishing modifiers.
- Destroy the corruption as soon as you see it. Some are near the entrance, others are deeper in the sector. If you skip past one accidentally and clear the boss, the triumph will not register. Always destroy the corruption first.
- The Moon boss requires extra steps. K1 Revelation is the only one where you need to destroy crystals before the boss spawns. Do not rush past the crystal mechanic or you will be locked out of the fight.
- Chain nearby destinations together. The Moon and Dreaming City are close enough in the Director that you can knock both out in one session. Same for the Cosmodrome and EDZ. Batch these runs to save time.
- Bring a strong primary and a heavy weapon. These are normal difficulty Lost Sectors, so the encounters are not punishing. A good primary for ad clear and a rocket or linear fusion for the Nine-Touched boss is all you need. Check our best PvE weapons tier list for top picks.
What Do Nine-Touched Triumphs Reward?
Each Nine-Touched triumph rewards 15 Legendary Marks. Completing all seven adds up to 105 Legendary Marks from this category alone. Finishing all triumphs in the Stories: The Nine category also rewards an additional 50 Legendary Marks.
