Bond steps into the East Wing hallway and triggers a sensor lockdown, sealing all the nearby doors. You cannot jump over the lasers or shoot them — the solution runs through a vent, two offices, a cleaning robot, and a security panel. Here is the full step-by-step walkthrough.

When Does This Happen?

In typical James Bond fashion, players will step into the East Wing hallway of the Webb Industries building during the Knightfall chapter of 007 First Light, only to get locked out by tripping a grid of laser sensors. Stepping on one of these sensors triggers a security system and locks all doors in the vicinity.

The game vaguely tells you to open a path for Greenway, which leaves you wandering around a corporate office looking for a switch. Many players attempt to jump over the sensors or look for a way to disable them entirely, but the correct solution involves using the ventilation system and hacking a security door.

Step 1 — Move the Box and Find the Vent

Look to the right at the boxes blocking the path. The rightmost one can be moved. Past that, squeeze through the grate.

Grab the box on the far right, drag it out into the hallway, crouch down, and crawl into the exposed ventilation shaft. The stack of boxes is easy to miss because it blends into the hallway wall. Use Q-Lens to highlight it if you cannot find the interactable box straight away.

Step 2 — Take the Left Path Into Isola Vale’s Office

Inside, take the left path into Isola Vale’s office.

The vent splits into two directions — left and straight ahead. Take the left turn first. This drops you directly behind the first set of locked doors and places you in the right position for the next step. You will come back for the straight-ahead path later.

Step 3 — Hack the De Broglie Meeting Room Door

This is the step that trips up most players. Carefully step out of Isola Vale’s office back into the main hall. You are now standing directly between two active floor sensors. Do not touch them. Look to your right at the office labelled De Broglie meeting room. To get inside, you need to use your Q-Watch on the door sensor. The catch is that you need a direct line of sight to the interior sensor, and the game is picky about angles. Look through the glass where the blinds are raised to get a clean visual on the hackable controller. Once it highlights, trigger your Q-Watch.

The key detail in this section is that the hacking system only works when Bond has a direct line of sight to the internal controller. Look through the glass door and find the correct viewing angle. Move slightly left or right if the Q-Watch is not picking it up — a small shift in position is usually all it takes.

Step 4 — Return to the Vent and Go Through Webb’s Office

Now that the De Broglie room is unlocked, you still cannot walk through the sensor-covered hallway to reach it. You need to go back into the walls.

Turn around and head back into the vent you just came from. Crawl back inside, but this time take the left turn so you exit into Damien Webb’s office. Leave his office through the main door, turn left in the hallway, and walk right into the De Broglie meeting room you just hacked open.

Follow the path through Webb’s office carefully. There may be a guard here depending on your run. Deal with them or slip past before heading out into the hallway and into the De Broglie room.

Step 5 — Call the Cleaning Robot

Walk inside the meeting room that you have just unlocked, and interact with the panel to request the service of the cleaning robot. This will open up the main glass doors leading to the laser hallway.

Follow the robot as it opens the main hallway doors and proceed to the security panel on the other side. The cleaning robot is the key to this whole puzzle — it opens the main corridor doors automatically as part of its cleaning route, which is the only thing that gives Bond access to the security panel beyond.

Step 6 — Flip the Sensor Security Switch

In the final room, there will be a large button to disable the motion sensors. Simply interact with it and Greenway will be able to walk through the hallway without any issues.

Simply follow the little robot through those wide-open doors to reach the opposite side of the hall. Find the primary security panel on the wall, flip the switch, and the entire laser grid will shut down. Greenway can now stroll right through.

Once the grid is down, regroup with Greenway and continue toward the Perch. The mission opens up significantly from here.

What Comes After the Sensor Puzzle?

Once done, leave the area and take the stairs up to the office holding Perch Access, which is locked like everything else. Bond and Greenway continue through the upper floors of Webb Industries, eventually working their way up to the penthouse and the escape sequence.

Tips for the Sensor Puzzle

• Do not try to jump over the lasers. It does not work. The solution is entirely through the vent system and the cleaning robot — there is no shortcut.
• The Q-Watch hack requires line of sight. If the De Broglie door controller is not highlighting, adjust your position slightly while standing between the sensors. A small shift left or right usually solves it.
• Remember which direction to take in the vent. Left gets you to Isola Vale’s office for the hack. Straight ahead — and then left again — gets you to Webb’s office after the hack. Go in the wrong direction and you will need to backtrack.
• Follow the cleaning robot. Do not try to get ahead of it. The robot physically opens the hallway doors as part of its route — you need to be behind it when it passes through.
• Top up your battery before entering the hallway. The Q-Watch hack is the critical step here. If your battery is nearly empty when you reach Isola’s office, the hack may fail. Recharge at any nearby electronics before proceeding.
