All Global Challenges in 007 First Light

All Global Challenges in 007 First Light explained — full list of all 15 milestones, requirements, tips to complete them fast, and the Agent Outfit reward.

All Global Challenges in 007 First Light are career-wide milestones that track your performance across the entire campaign — not just a single mission. There are 15 in total, and completing every one of them unlocks the iconic Agent Outfit. Here is the full list and how to complete each one.

TL;DR

  • There are 15 Global Challenges that span the whole campaign.
  • They track playstyle stats like melee kills, stealth takedowns, firearms kills, and gadget uses.
  • The Pacifist, Ghost, and Assault challenges require finishing their matching per-mission challenges first.
  • The Completionist challenge requires clearing every single mission challenge across all 9 main story missions.
  • Completing all 15 unlocks the Agent Outfit.
  • The For England finale is the best place to farm most gadget-based milestones.

What Are Global Challenges?

Global Challenges are a separate layer of progression that sit above the individual mission challenges. While individual mission milestones award their own distinct outfits, the overarching Global Challenges track your career statistics across the entire campaign. You need to clear 15 specific milestones that monitor everything from your preferred combat style to how often you rely on your high-tech inventory.

The Agent Outfit is unlocked by finishing every main story challenge and completing all 15 Global Challenges. This is the ultimate completionist reward for challenge hunters.

Think of them as a career report card. Some build up naturally over a playthrough. Others need deliberate farming across specific missions or checkpoints.

All 15 Global Challenges — Full List

Here is every Global Challenge in the game along with its requirement and tips on how to complete it.

1. Completionist

Requirement: Clear every challenge across all 9 main story missions.

This is the most time-consuming Global Challenge. It requires you to fully complete every per-mission challenge list. Each mission has its own guide on the site — use our all missions, challenges, and collectibles guide as your master checklist. You can use Chapter Select to return and finish anything you missed without replaying the whole story.

2. Pacifist

Requirement: Complete every mission-specific Pacifist challenge across the campaign.

Each main story mission includes a Pacifist meta-challenge that requires you to complete a specific set of stealth and non-lethal objectives within that chapter. You must finish all of them across every mission to unlock this Global Challenge. Plan stealth-first runs for missions with conflicting combat and Pacifist objectives, as they cannot always be done in the same pass.

3. Ghost

Requirement: Complete every mission-specific Ghost challenge across the campaign.

Ghost challenges focus on avoiding detection and completing objectives without triggering alerts. Like Pacifist, each mission has its own Ghost meta-challenge. Some of these conflict with Assault objectives in the same area, so use checkpoint replays to tackle them separately. Our individual mission guides below walk through how to handle the trickier Ghost sections.

4. Assault

Requirement: Complete every mission-specific Assault challenge across the campaign.

Assault challenges ask you to engage enemies directly and clear sections with guns blazing. These are easier to stack with combat-heavy replays. Plan a dedicated combat run for each mission to tick these off without worrying about stealth.

5. CQC Expertise

Requirement: Defeat 100 enemies using melee combat.

This one builds steadily over the course of a normal playthrough if you favour fistfights. For faster farming, look for patrol-heavy areas where you can chain melee takedowns back to back. Our parry guide covers the melee system in full, which helps you handle groups more efficiently and rack up the count faster.

6. Shadow Tactics

Requirement: Perform 50 stealth takedowns.

This unlocks naturally if you play through the campaign with a stealth focus. Watch Expertise and Shadow Tactics practically complete themselves over a normal playthrough as long as you are actively using stealth mechanics and your Q-Watch to trigger distractions. Early missions with large guard counts like Knightfall are ideal for farming stealth takedowns quickly via checkpoints.

7. Firearms Expertise

Requirement: Defeat 150 enemies using firearms.

This is the highest kill count of the three combat milestones. The game limits when Bond can draw a weapon, so you need to play aggressively during Licence to Kill sections. The later missions in the campaign have far more combat-heavy segments — use these to push the count up. The For England finale is one of the best levels for stacking firearms kills.

8. Watch Expertise

Requirement: Perform 25 environmental hacks using the Q-Watch.

Watch Expertise requires 25 environmental hacks. This practically completes itself over a normal playthrough as long as you are actively using your Q-Watch to trigger distractions. Make a habit of hacking every compatible terminal, camera, and interactive object you pass throughout the campaign and this will be done well before the credits roll. You can find a breakdown of the Q-Watch in our all gadgets guide.

9. Dart Phone Expertise

Requirement: Use the Dart Phone gadget 15 times.

For the Dart Phone, use your Q-Lens to target any distant guard and fire a basic tracking or sickness dart. Do this 15 times across your standard mission runs to clear the tier. It unlocks early in the campaign, so start using it regularly from the moment you get it rather than saving charges.

10. Laser Strap Expertise

Requirement: Use the Laser Strap gadget 15 times.

The Laser Strap functions the same way as the Dart Phone for progression purposes. Equip it to your standard loadout from any weapon bench and fire it 15 times into environmental structures or guard helmet visors during active encounters to claim your badge. It is also useful for cutting locks and disabling cameras, so you will get natural usage just by exploring thoroughly.

11. Shockwave Camera Expertise

Requirement: Use the Shockwave Camera gadget across multiple encounters.

When it comes to the Shockwave Camera, Flash Mines, Smoke Pods, and the destructive Missile Pen, stop trying to ration your ammunition in early chapters. The For England finale is the recommended level for farming these efficiently. Equip the Shockwave Camera and use it aggressively during every combat encounter you enter.

12. Flash Mine Expertise

Requirement: Use Flash Mines across multiple encounters.

Toss your Flash Mines near groups of enemies and shoot them to quickly knock out your requirements. The For England mission is ideal for this as the level has equipment boxes where you can freely swap gadgets mid-mission, letting you restock and keep throwing mines without running dry. Check out our best gadget loadout guide for advice on which gadgets to pair with Flash Mines.

13. Smoke Pod Expertise

Requirement: Use Smoke Pods to blind multiple groups of enemies.

Drop your Smoke Pods directly at your own feet to blind mobs of ten targets simultaneously. This is the fastest method for stacking the usage count. Dense combat encounters in the later missions work well for this. The Smoke Pod unlocks during the London nightclub mission in Chapter 2, so you have plenty of the campaign left to rack up uses after getting it.

14. Missile Pen Expertise

Requirement: Detonate the Missile Pen 10 times to destroy structural targets.

Look for structural elements highlighted by your Q-Lens during active Licence to Kill sequences and detonate your Missile Pen 10 times to collapse bridges and break walls. The For England mission offers the most opportunities for this in one sitting. The Missile Pen unlocks during Knightfall, so you have the last few missions to complete this milestone.

15. All the Time in the World (Global)

Requirement: Complete all milestones across every category listed above.

Once every individual Global Challenge is finished, this final milestone ticks over automatically and the Agent Outfit drops into your wardrobe. It is the game’s ultimate proof of mastery across every playstyle and tool in Bond’s arsenal.

What Do You Unlock? — Agent Outfit

You can unlock the Agent Outfit by finishing every main story challenge and completing all 15 Global Challenges. The outfit can then be used in TacSim, the game’s sandbox and post-game challenge mode. Unlocked suits can only be used in the Tactical Simulation game mode, and cannot be applied while playing through main story missions.

For a full overview of every outfit in the game and how to get them, see our all outfits guide.

Best Mission to Farm Global Challenges

The final chapter, For England, offers a massive mechanical advantage for your heavier inventory items. During the late-game facility infiltration, your watch features an upgraded infinite recharge battery. More importantly, the map lets you freely swap your active gadgets mid-mission from any equipment box.

This makes For England the single most efficient level for completing all gadget-based Global Challenges in one session. Load into the mission, swap gadgets freely at equipment boxes, and work through the Shockwave Camera, Flash Mine, Smoke Pod, and Missile Pen milestones back to back.

For the full walkthrough of that mission’s individual challenges, see our For England all challenges guide.

Mission Challenge Guides — All Chapters

To complete the Completionist Global Challenge, you need to finish every individual mission challenge in the game. Here are guides for every chapter:

Tips for Completing Global Challenges Efficiently

A few simple habits will save you a lot of time:

  • Do not hoard gadget charges. Use your gadgets constantly from the moment you unlock them. Rationing slows down the Expertise milestones significantly.
  • Use Chapter Select freely. You do not need to replay entire missions. Load specific checkpoints to farm melee, stealth, and gadget kills in concentrated bursts. Our how to replay missions guide explains how the system works.
  • Separate conflicting challenges. Ghost and Assault objectives in the same area cannot always be done in one run. Plan a stealth pass and a combat pass separately.
  • Track your progress actively. Check the Global Challenges screen after each session so you know which milestones are close and which need dedicated farming.

Also worth having open while you work through everything: our trophy and achievement guide, which covers how Global Challenges interact with the platinum trophy requirements.

If you are also chasing collectibles alongside challenges, our guides for all playing cards locations, all MI6 intel files, all mementos, and all Legacy locations will help you knock out both goals at once. And if you have any doubts about how long the full completion run will take, our how long to beat guide breaks down the time estimates for each tier of completion.
