007 First Light All Legacy Locations – Where to Find Every Legacy Item

007 First Light all legacy locations guide — find all 9 Legacy Items across every chapter, unlock the A Legacy of Spycraft trophy, and discover every Bond movie reference hidden in the game.

TL;DR

  • There are 9 Legacy Items hidden across the campaign in 007 First Light.
  • Collecting all 9 unlocks the A Legacy of Spycraft trophy and achievement.
  • None are missable — use Chapter Select to go back and grab any you missed.
  • Items save instantly when picked up. You can quit right after grabbing one.
  • Each item is a nod to a classic Bond film or novel from the franchise’s history.
  • If the trophy doesn’t pop after the 9th item, load Tactical Simulation and check your collectible wall.

007 First Light all legacy locations are spread across 9 chapters of the game, and each one is a direct reference to a classic James Bond film or piece of Bond lore. These aren’t random props scattered around for padding. They are carefully placed callbacks to Bond history — from poisoned dagger shoes to a tarot deck to the iconic Jaws Design Specs. This guide tells you exactly where every Legacy Item is, which checkpoint to use, and what Bond film each one pays tribute to.

Before we start, here is a quick tip. The in-game collectible tracker (accessed by pressing Touchpad) shows Legacy Items by type, not by chapter. So you can’t see a chapter-by-chapter checklist in-game. That’s why this guide exists. Also, in Chapter 4 you unlock the Q-Watch, which highlights nearby collectibles in yellow when you press L1/LB. Always keep it equipped as it helps a lot. If you want a full breakdown of all 92 collectibles across all five types, check out our 007 First Light all missions, challenges and collectibles guide.

What Are Legacy Items in 007 First Light?

Legacy Items are a special category of collectible in 007 First Light. There are 9 in total. Each one is a physical object that references a specific moment from classic Bond films, even though those events haven’t happened yet in the timeline of the game. Think of them as a playable Bond museum hidden inside the campaign.

Some of the references are easy to spot right away — like the Dagger Shoes from From Russia With Love. Others are more subtle. The Chess Biography quietly nods to the chess genius Kronsteen from the same film. The Tarot Deck references Solitaire from Live and Let Die. And the Jaws Design Specs are a tribute to the most famous Bond henchman ever.

Collecting all 9 unlocks the A Legacy of Spycraft trophy and achievement. Nothing else is required — just grab all 9 and the trophy is yours.

You can buy and play 007 First Light on PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, and Epic Games. The game is developed by IO Interactive.

Important Tips Before You Start Collecting

  • Use Chapter Select — you can jump to any checkpoint directly from the main menu. No need to replay full chapters.
  • Items save instantly — as soon as you pick up a Legacy Item, it is saved. You can quit immediately after grabbing it.
  • The Q-Watch helps — unlocked in Chapter 4, it highlights collectibles nearby when you press L1/LB.
  • Trophy bug warning — because the game requires an always-online connection, trophy tracking can lag. If the A Legacy of Spycraft trophy doesn’t unlock after your 9th item, go to the Tactical Simulation hub from the main menu and look at your collectible wall. That usually forces a sync. If it still doesn’t pop, wait 5–10 minutes.

All 9 Legacy Item Locations in 007 First Light

Legacy Item 1 – Cruciform Key (Chapter 1: Against the Odds)

Legacy Item 1–Cruciform Key
Legacy Item 1–Cruciform Key

Checkpoint: 06 – Central Camp
Objective: Save the captives / Search containers B4 and G9
Bond Reference: GoldenEye (1995)

After jumping down into the enemy camp, head to the large white F8 container in the middle of the area. Enter through the open window. The Cruciform Key is sitting on a shelf inside, just to the right of the destroyed television screen. This key-shaped collectible is a subtle nod to GoldenEye, referencing the satellite weapon controls from the 1995 film.

This is one of the easier Legacy Items to grab since it sits right in the path of the main objective. Just make sure you don’t rush past it. For more help with this chapter, see our 007 First Light Against the Odds challenges guide.

Legacy Item 2 – Dagger Shoes (Chapter 7: A Matter of Considerable Delicacy)

Legacy Item 2 Dagger Shoes

Checkpoint: 03 – Field Equipment
Objective: Go to gadget testing
Bond Reference: From Russia With Love (1963)

When you return to the Q-Lab, go right and enter the Q-07 Wearables section. You need to talk to Q here as part of the main story. After the cutscene with Q ends, look at the shoes displayed on the table nearby. That’s the Dagger Shoes collectible.

These are a direct reference to the iconic poisoned blade shoe worn by Rosa Klebb in From Russia With Love. One of the most recognizable gadgets in Bond history, and IO Interactive recreated them almost perfectly as a collectible.

Legacy Item 3 – Chess Biography (Chapter 8: All the Time in the World)

Legacy Item 3 Chess Biography
Legacy Item 3 Chess Biography

Checkpoint: 03 – The Game Is On
Objective: Search the hotel
Bond Reference: From Russia With Love (1963)

From the start of this checkpoint, you will enter a large room full of hotel guests. Take the stairs on the left side going down. At the bottom, turn right and walk to the end of the hallway. You’ll pass an elderly woman you can eavesdrop on — keep going. At the very end of the floor is a small seating area where two men are chatting about an Aston Martin. The Chess Biography is sitting on the small table between them.

This book is a nod to Kronsteen, the brilliant chess master villain introduced in From Russia With Love. Don’t confuse this with the nearby eavesdrop opportunity — it is a separate interaction. Walk all the way to the end of the corridor. For more on this chapter, check out our All the Time in the World all challenges guide.

Legacy Item 4 – ATAC Device (Chapter 10: The Past Never Dies)

Legacy Item 4 ATAC Device
Legacy Item 4 ATAC Device

Checkpoint: 03 – Black Market
Objective: Obtain the auction fee (reach the antenna for the crypto wallet)
Bond Reference: For Your Eyes Only (1981)

This one takes a few steps to reach. Inside the market, find the stall near the back across from the shooting range. Trigger the eavesdrop where a man on the phone talks about a crypto wallet. After that, open your Touchpad and track the “crypto wallet” objective. Follow it out of the market. You’ll end up defeating a brute on a rooftop. Then go to the signal tower (the marked objective that rewards $50,000). Just below the signal tower, drop down the ledges onto a large metal beam. Follow that beam to its far end and pick up the ATAC Device from the crate sitting there.

The ATAC Device is a clear callback to For Your Eyes Only, where the Automatic Targeting Attack Communicator was the MacGuffin at the centre of the film’s plot. For help with this chapter, read our The Past Never Dies all challenges guide. Also helpful: how to obtain the auction fee and the shooting range challenge guide.

Legacy Item 5 – Concert Poster (Chapter 11: Uninvited)

Legacy Item 5 Concert Poster
Legacy Item 5 Concert Poster

Checkpoint: 05 – Get Upstairs
Objective: Find the assassin
Bond Reference: The Living Daylights (1987)

Head to the back left corner of the Gala and enter the Café. Once inside, look in the back right corner of the room. The Concert Poster is sitting on a table there.

This poster is a nod to The Living Daylights, where a violin concert played a central role in the plot. It’s easy to walk right past the Café if you’re focused on the assassin objective, so make sure you check the back corner before moving on. For more help, see our Uninvited all challenges guide.

Legacy Item 6 – Blades Club Badge (Chapter 12: Knightfall)

Legacy Item 6 Blades Club Badge
Legacy Item 6 Blades Club Badge

Checkpoint: 03 – The Penthouse
Objective: Locate and open the safe
Bond Reference: Die Another Day (2002) / Ian Fleming novels

As soon as you enter the penthouse at the start of this checkpoint, turn right immediately. The Blades Club Badge is on the bar table right there. You can’t miss it if you just turn right on entry.

Blades is the exclusive gentleman’s club referenced in both Ian Fleming’s original novels and in Die Another Day, where Bond and Gustav Graves face off in a fencing duel. This badge is a great nod to both the literary and cinematic Bond legacy at once. For more on this chapter, visit our Knightfall all challenges guide.

Legacy Item 7 – Tarot Deck (Chapter 14: Time to Die)

Legacy Item 7 Tarot Deck
Legacy Item 7 Tarot Deck

Checkpoint: 05 – The Three Targets
Objective: Reach Ramon Hernandez
Bond Reference: Live and Let Die (1973)

After you talk to Ramon Hernandez at his villa as part of the story objective, head into the bedroom. The Tarot Deck is sitting on the nightstand to the left of the bed.

This is a clear reference to Solitaire, the tarot-reading psychic from Live and Let Die. The deck even features “The Lovers” card, which is very on-brand for a Roger Moore Bond film. For help finding Ramon himself, check our guide on Ramon Hernandez’s location and how to reach him. More chapter help is in our Time to Die all challenges guide.

Legacy Item 8 – Trilby Hat (Chapter 15: Man of the Hour)

Legacy Item 8 Trilby Hat
Legacy Item 8 Trilby Hat

Checkpoint: 04 – The Betrayal
Objective: Steal field equipment
Bond Reference: Classic Sean Connery-era Bond films

Head to the Q-Lab and go to the Q-07 Wearables section near the elevator. The Trilby Hat is inside one of the changing rooms there.

The Trilby Hat is a direct nod to Sean Connery’s Bond, who wore this distinctive style of hat in several classic films including Dr. No (1962) and Goldfinger (1964). It’s a small detail, but for longtime Bond fans it’s a meaningful piece of the legacy. For help with this chapter, see our steal field equipment walkthrough.

Legacy Item 9 – Jaws Design Specs (Chapter 16: Wave of the Future)

Legacy Item 9 Jaws Design Specs
Legacy Item 9 Jaws Design Specs

Checkpoint: 08 – Robotics Department
Objective: Locate the Command Centre
Bond Reference: The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) / Moonraker (1979)

After taking the elevator, you will enter a large Robotics room where robots are being tested. From where you enter the room, walk to the far left corner. The Jaws Design Specs are sitting on top of a crate in that corner.

This is perhaps the most iconic Legacy Item in the whole game. The Jaws Design Specs are a tribute to the steel-toothed henchman Jaws, who appeared in both The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker. The spec documents inside show the conceptual design for his signature weaponized metal teeth. Grabbing this final item triggers the A Legacy of Spycraft trophy. For full chapter help, read our Wave of the Future all challenges guide.

Reward for Collecting All Legacy Items

Collecting all 9 Legacy Items unlocks the A Legacy of Spycraft trophy and achievement. There are no other gameplay rewards tied to this collectible set, but you will also display each item on your wall in the Tactical Simulation hub, where you can admire the full collection.

As mentioned earlier, if the trophy doesn’t pop immediately, head to the Tactical Simulation hub from the main menu and walk up to your collectible wall to force the game to sync. This is a known issue caused by the game’s always-online requirement.

For the full trophy and achievement breakdown in 007 First Light, visit our 007 First Light trophy and achievement guide.

Can You Miss Legacy Items?

No. None of the 9 Legacy Items are missable. Even if you complete the campaign without collecting any of them, you can return to every chapter using Chapter Select from the main menu. You can jump directly to the specific checkpoint listed for each item, grab it, and quit out immediately. The item saves the moment you pick it up.

To learn more about how to use this feature, see our how to replay missions in 007 First Light guide.
