Getting one takes some endgame preparation, but the reward is absolutely worth it. What Is Aegidron in Palworld?
Aegidron is a Dragon and Ground dual-type Pal sitting at entry #184 in the Paldeck. It was added as part of the full Version 1.0 release on July 10th, 2026, making it one of the 73 new Pals introduced at launch. Its in-game lore describes it as an ancient creature whose glowing wings were once used to send flash signals when other means of communication did not exist.
In practical terms, Aegidron is an Epic-rarity Pal built around defense. It hits hard, takes hits well, and the passive buff it provides to your whole party makes it a top-tier endgame companion. It cannot fly despite being Dragon-type, but it is rideable as a ground mount and equipped with some of the strongest area-attack skills in the game.
Where to Find Aegidron in Palworld
Aegidron does not appear anywhere in the open world. It only spawns as a fixed Field Alpha boss inside the World Tree region, which is one of the two new endgame areas added in Palworld 1.0. You must unlock the World Tree before you can access it.

Aegidron’s Exact Location
Once you are inside the World Tree, fast travel to the Lacrymal Shoal waypoint. From there, head north. Aegidron spawns near ruins close to a waterfall and a body of water in the southwest area of the World Tree map. Look for it just to the left of the large door you encounter deeper in the zone — drop off the cliff and move toward the water and the boss encounter will trigger automatically when you get close enough.
The approximate spawn coordinates are -193, 1336. If Aegidron is not there when you arrive, fast travel away to any other location and come back. This resets the area and forces it to respawn.
How to Beat Aegidron in Palworld
Aegidron is a Level 79 Alpha boss, so it hits very hard. Do not show up underprepared. Here is what you need to know before engaging it.
Aegidron’s Weaknesses
As a Dragon/Ground-type Pal, Aegidron takes extra damage from two element types:
- Ice attacks — exploits its Dragon typing
- Grass (Leaf) attacks — exploits its Ground typing

Combat Tips
- Bring a full party of Pals at Level 70 or higher. Aegidron can one-shot underprepared players and Pals.
- Let your Pals do most of the fighting. Focus on recalling them before they take a big hit, then resummon them to keep the pressure up.
- Bring plenty of healing items and high-defense armor. The World Tree is the toughest environment in the game.
- Chip its health down as low as you safely can before throwing a sphere.
How to Capture Aegidron in Palworld
Standard Pal Spheres will not hold a Level 79 Alpha boss. You need Ancient Spheres at minimum to have any realistic chance. The technology for Ancient Spheres unlocks at Tech Level 74, and you will need Paloxite and Mythical Wood to craft them.

For an even better capture rate, use Legendary Spheres if you have them. Also aim your throws from behind Aegidron — landing a sphere on its back triggers a throw-angle bonus that improves capture odds with every attempt.
If you do not have any Ancient Spheres ready yet, you can sometimes find them in chests and salvage piles scattered across the World Tree and Sunreach floating islands. Bring a Mimog if you need keys to open locked chests.
How to Breed Aegidron in Palworld
If you would rather not fight the Alpha boss — or if you want a second Aegidron with better stats and passive skills — breeding is a solid option. There are over 100 confirmed parent combinations that can produce an Aegidron egg.
Some of the most accessible breeding pairs include:
- Bastigor + Dandilord — the lowest rarity parent combination confirmed to produce Aegidron
- Neptilius + Jetragon — another viable combination for players who already have these Pals
- Aegidron + Aegidron — the most reliable method for locking in good passive skills
Breeding lets you pass down high IVs and favorable passive skills that the wild catch might not have. If you already have one Aegidron from the Alpha encounter, breeding a second with a strong passive like Legend or Demon God will significantly improve its combat and mining performance.
Aegidron’s Partner Skill — Indestructible Fortress
This is the main reason to have Aegidron in your party. While Aegidron is with you, both you and all your active Pals take 60% less damage from explosive attacks and become fully immune to Stun. This effect does not stack if you bring multiple Aegidrons, so one is all you need.
That level of protection is a genuine game-changer for boss raids and any encounter that relies heavily on area-of-effect explosions or knockback. Aegidron can also be ridden as a ground mount, so it doubles as a fast-moving transport in the World Tree when you are not using a flying Pal.
Aegidron’s Active Skills
Aegidron learns eight active skills as it levels up, mixing Ground-type barrages with Dragon-type explosions:
- Stone Blast (Lv. 1) — Fires a barrage of stones forward
- Blast Cannon (Lv. 7) — Energy bullet that shatters into a frontal explosion on impact
- Rockburst (Lv. 15) — Shakes the ground and hurls a massive stone mass in every direction
- Charge Cannon (Lv. 22) — Draconic energy orb that causes a wide-area blast on impact
- Sand Twister (Lv. 30) — Creates multiple spinning sand tornadoes
- Rocky Impact (Lv. 40) — Lifts a massive boulder and slams it into the ground
- Meteor Shower (Lv. 55) — Summons small meteorites and launches them at an enemy
- Missile Burst (Lv. 70) — Aegidron’s exclusive skill; launches countless explosive missiles from its wings
Missile Burst is the standout move here. Reaching Level 70 to unlock it takes time, but it is worth building toward if you plan to use Aegidron as a combat Pal.
Aegidron’s Work Suitability
Aegidron has a single work suitability, but it is a great one: Mining Level 8. That makes it one of the highest-level mining workers in the entire game — only a handful of Pals even come close. If you are looking to farm Paloxite, Soralite, or any other ore at your base, assigning an Aegidron to your mining station will dramatically increase how fast materials come in.

What Aegidron Drops
When you defeat or capture the Aegidron Alpha boss, you are guaranteed to receive a Thermal Core and a Giant Pal Soul. There is also a chance to get World Tree materials and various Ancient Relics from the encounter.
The Aegidron Saddle unlocks at Level 79 of the technology tree, letting you equip and ride your captured Aegidron properly.
Quick Tips Before You Go
- Do not attempt the fight without Level 70+ Pals and Ancient Spheres in your inventory.
- The Lacrymal Shoal fast travel point is your anchor — use it to reset the boss if it is not at the spawn when you arrive.
- Throw spheres from behind to get the angle bonus on every capture attempt.
- If you plan to farm Aegidron for drops, it respawns after the normal server timer.
