Eidrolon in Palworld is one of the most exciting additions to Version 1.0 — a Dragon/Dark flying Pal with incredible speed, strong combat skills, and a party buff that scales with how many Dragon and Dark Pals you bring along. It sits on the Sunreach floating islands, which is a new endgame region, and you will need some preparation before you can get there and take it on. What Is Eidrolon in Palworld?
Eidrolon is entry #171 in the Paldeck. It is a Dragon and Dark dual-type Pal introduced with the full Version 1.0 release on July 10th, 2026, making it one of 73 new Pals that arrived at launch. Its lore describes it as a Pal that was only recently discovered — calm, entirely docile, and no longer bound by anything.
In gameplay terms, it is the opposite of docile once you have it on your side. Eidrolon is one of the fastest flying mounts in all of Palworld, with a movement speed of around 1,400. Its Partner Skill scales with the number of Dragon and Dark Pals in your party, meaning it can get faster and hit harder the more you build around it. It also has Level 6 Transporting work suitability, giving it genuine base utility alongside its flying mount role.
Where to Find Eidrolon in Palworld
Eidrolon is found on Sunreach — the group of floating islands that sits to the east of Feybreak Island in the southwest part of the map. There are multiple ways to encounter it there.
Alpha Field Boss — Sunreach (Best Method)
The Alpha Eidrolon spawns at Level 69 in the southern section of Sunreach, near coordinates -489, -1521. This puts it just southeast of the Waterlily Gorge fast travel point, between that waypoint and the southern teleporter on the island. It patrols the area openly and will be marked on your map once you get close enough.
This is the best method for getting your first Eidrolon. Once you spot it, the boss encounter triggers automatically.
Wild Eidrolons — Also on Sunreach
Wild Eidrolons also roam freely across Sunreach at around Level 65. These are not Alpha bosses, which makes them easier to weaken and catch. If the Alpha is already defeated and has not respawned yet, hunting the wild ones is a solid backup option.
Wild Eidrolons — World Tree (Corroded Hollow)
Once you reach the World Tree endgame region, Eidrolons also appear as regular wild Pals in the Corroded Hollow area to the north-northwest. How to Reach Sunreach in Palworld
Getting to Sunreach is the first challenge. There are two ways to do it.
Method 1: Use the Feybreak Tower Portal (Recommended)
Head to the Feybreak Tower at approximately coordinates -1294, -1669 in the far southwest of the map. You can either beat Bjorn and Bastigor — the Level 60 Ice duo boss fight inside the tower — or simply fly to the top of the tower on your flying mount and interact with the portal directly without completing the boss fight. Either way, interacting with the altar at the tower’s summit teleports you directly to Sunreach, near the Sunreach Tower fast travel point. From there, head west to find the Eidrolon Alpha.
This is the smarter route. It cuts out most of the travel time and lands you close to where you need to be.
Method 2: Fly There Directly
If you have a high-stamina flying mount, you can fly to the lowest island of Sunreach directly. One approach is to use a Surfent to swim toward the islands, then switch to your flying Pal in the water and fly up from there. It takes more effort and a solid flying Pal, but it works if you have not done the Feybreak Tower yet.

How to Beat Eidrolon in Palworld
The Alpha Eidrolon is a Level 69 boss with a large health pool — expect a long fight before it is ready to capture. Come prepared.
Eidrolon’s Weaknesses
As a Dragon/Dark-type, Eidrolon takes extra damage from two element types:
- Ice attacks — exploit the Dragon typing
- Dragon attacks — exploit the Dark typing
Lead with Ice-type Pals to strip its health fastest. Avoid Dark and Neutral Pals — Eidrolon’s own Dragon and Dark skills deal heavy damage to both. Check our picks for the best Pals for combat in Palworld 1.0 to build a strong team before you head out.
Combat Tips
- Bring Pals and a player character around Level 68–70 before attempting this fight. Eidrolon hits hard.
- Chip its HP down to a sliver before throwing — with 5,500 to 6,880 HP at Level 80, this is a fight that takes time.
- Apply a status effect like Freeze to keep it grounded and boost your capture chance.
- Bring plenty of healing items and high-defense armor for yourself and your Pals.
How to Capture Eidrolon in Palworld
Standard Pal Spheres will not cut it at this level. You need Sol Spheres or Ancient Spheres at minimum for a realistic shot. Legendary Spheres give the best odds if you have them.
Always throw your sphere from behind. Landing a back-throw triggers a capture rate bonus that applies to every attempt. Once Eidrolon is weakened and you have a status effect on it, circle around before you throw.

How to Breed Eidrolon in Palworld
If you would rather avoid the boss fight — or want a second Eidrolon with better passive skills — breeding is a solid path. There are multiple confirmed parent combinations. Here are some reliable ones to start with:
- Jormuntide + Quivern
- Relaxaurus + Elphidran
- Jormuntide Ignis + Quivern Botan
- Relaxaurus Lux + Elphidran Aqua
These are not the only pairings — there are multiple combinations that work. Breeding is especially worthwhile if you want to pass down strong passive skills from both parents into your Eidrolon’s base stats.
You can also hatch Eidrolon from a Large Dragon Egg. These eggs are scattered around the islands as pickups, or you can produce them through breeding. Place any egg you find in an Egg Incubator and wait for it to hatch — it is not guaranteed to produce an Eidrolon, but it is worth trying if you come across one.
Once you have an Eidrolon, you can also use it as a parent to breed its Fire-type variant, Eidrolon Ignis, by pairing it with a Suzaku. Eidrolon Ignis is a Dragon/Fire type found in the northeast section of the World Tree, making it a strong alternative for different team builds.
Eidrolon’s Partner Skill — Liberated Pterosaur
This is why Eidrolon deserves a spot in your party. Its Partner Skill, Liberated Pterosaur, does two things at once:
- Eidrolon becomes a rideable flying mount — one of the fastest in the game at around 1,400 movement speed
- Its Attack and Movement Speed increase by 2% to 6% for each other Dragon or Dark Pal in your party
That second point is what makes Eidrolon special. If you stack your party with Dragon and Dark Pals, Eidrolon scales into a genuinely fast and hard-hitting aerial mount. You do not need to fill every slot with Dragon/Dark types to feel the effect — even two or three in the party makes a noticeable difference in combat speed and movement.
Note that to activate the Partner Skill for riding, you need to craft the Eidrolon Saddle at a Pal Gear Workbench after capturing one. The technology unlocks at the required level after you have the Pal in your possession.

Eidrolon’s Active Skills
Eidrolon learns seven active skills as it levels up. Two of them are exclusive to this Pal:
- Dragon Burst (Lv. 1) — Quickly discharges draconic energy to damage everything around it
- Dragon Breath (Lv. 7) — Exhales draconic breath dealing continuous damage in front
- Beam Slicer (Lv. 15) — Fires a dragon-powered beam that also causes a delayed explosion in the area it hits
- Comet Barrage (Lv. 22) — Drops meteorites one after another, generating shockwaves on impact
- Tail Slash (Lv. 30) — Eidrolon’s exclusive skill; closes in at high speed and delivers a cleaving tail swipe
- Dragon Meteor (Lv. 40) — Summons and launches numerous small meteorites at the enemy
- Blazing Beam (Lv. 50) — Eidrolon’s exclusive skill; fires a superheated light beam for a short time before ending in a massive explosion on the targeted area
- Meteorain (Lv. 70) — Drops countless meteorites generating an array of shockwaves
Blazing Beam and Tail Slash are the standout moves. Both are exclusive to Eidrolon and pack serious punch once you level it up enough to unlock them.
Eidrolon’s Work Suitability
Eidrolon has one work suitability: Transporting Level 6. That is among the highest Transporting ratings in the game. If you assign it to your base, it will move resources around extremely efficiently. This makes it a genuinely useful base worker, not just a party Pal — though its Partner Skill means it earns its place in your party first.
Quick Tips Before You Go
- Use the Feybreak Tower portal — it is far quicker than flying cold to Sunreach from the mainland.
- Reach Level 68–70 before attempting the Alpha fight. Eidrolon is fast and hits hard.
- Bring Sol or Ancient Spheres and throw from behind for the best capture odds.
- Pick up any Large Dragon Eggs you spot on Sunreach — they may hatch an Eidrolon without a fight.
