Unlike other ores, getting Paloxite comes with a catch — the nodes disappear the moment you walk up to them. This guide will show you exactly where to find Paloxite, how to mine it without losing it, and what to do with it once you have a stockpile. What Is Paloxite in Palworld?
Paloxite is Palworld’s rarest mining resource. It only spawns in one place — the World Tree region — and it refines into Paloxite Ingots, which are required for the best weapons and armor in the game. Think of it as the final tier of ore, sitting above Soralite and everything else that came before it.
The description in-game calls it “an indomitable alloy crystallizing the technology of ancient civilization and the power of the World Tree.” That sounds fancy, but what it means in practice is simple: you need a lot of this if you want to reach max power.

How to Unlock the World Tree in Palworld
Before you can get Paloxite in Palworld, you need to unlock access to the World Tree map. To do this, you must capture a Panthalus and ride it to the base of the giant tree on Palpagos Islands. This opens up the World Tree region where all Paloxite nodes spawn.

The Paloxite Vanishing Problem — And How to Fix It
This is the part most players run into on their first visit to the World Tree. Every Paloxite node disappears the instant you get close to it. If you walk up to one without being prepared, it will simply disintegrate and you will walk away empty-handed.
There are two ways to fix this.
Method 1: Drink World Tree Holy Water
World Tree Holy Water is a consumable that gives you a short-lived buff allowing you to approach and mine Paloxite nodes normally. The buff only lasts around 30 seconds, so you need to move fast once you drink it. Head straight to the node and start mining immediately — do not waste time.
You can get World Tree Holy Water by defeating or capturing Pals inside the World Tree zone, or by finding it in chests scattered throughout the area. There is also a World Tree Guardian NPC near the Altar at the start of the zone who will hand you some Holy Water as part of a quest.
The downside is that Holy Water is also a crafting ingredient for Paloxite Ingots, so using it all just to mine will slow down your production later. This is why many experienced players prefer Method 2.
Method 2: Use a Pal with the Rainbow Passive
Certain Pals have a Legendary passive that reads “World Tree resources will not vanish when approached.” If you have one of these Pals in your party while you are mining, Paloxite nodes stay intact and you can mine them normally without any Holy Water at all.
This method is far better for long farming runs. You save your Holy Water for crafting, and you do not have a 30-second countdown putting pressure on every swing of your pickaxe. Breeding for the Rainbow passive takes some setup, but it pays off quickly.

What You Need to Mine Paloxite
Even with the vanishing problem solved, you still need the right tools. Standard pickaxes will not cut it here. You need one of the following:
- Plasma Multicutter — This is the recommended tool. It mines Paloxite nodes several times faster than a pickaxe, which matters a lot when you are on a 30-second Holy Water timer.
- A Pal with high Mining Work Suitability — Sending a strong mining Pal to attack the node works too, though Digtoise’s Drill Crusher ability is not recommended since it consumes too much Holy Water to be efficient.

Also bring Pals like Lunaris or Kingpaca in your party. Their Partner Skills increase your carrying capacity, which means longer mining runs before you have to head back to base.
Surviving the Toxic Gas in the World Tree
Parts of the World Tree are covered in corrosive gas that steadily drains your health while you are inside. This is a real problem during Paloxite farming, especially if you are trying to reach the richest node clusters, which are often located in the gas zones.
There are two main solutions:
- Bring a Dandy Lord Pal — Dandy Lord has an effect that grants poison immunity, which fully cancels out the toxic gas. Keep one in your party and the gas becomes a non-issue.
- Craft the Corrosive Mist Mask — This helmet is crafted at an Ancient Workbench using 30 Paloxite and 10 Toxin Filtering Membrane. It grants full Toxic Gas Immunity, letting you farm freely without worrying about your health bar.
Getting the Corrosive Mist Mask requires 30 Paloxite to craft, so you will need to farm a bit first, but it is worth building toward early in your World Tree progression.
Best Paloxite Farming Locations in Palworld
Once you are inside the World Tree and prepared, here are the best spots to farm Paloxite.
Remnant Riverside Area
This is one of the top spots for manual Paloxite farming. Fast travel to the Remnant Riverside point and look around the nearby area. There are 5 Paloxite nodes close together here — some in the immediate area and a few more just south. The zone is relatively safe and the nodes are close enough together that you can clear them all quickly in one run, then fast travel back to your base to deposit everything.
Gilded City Ruins Watchtower Area
Head west of the Gilded City Ruins Watchtower fast travel point, just south of the tundra region. You will find five to six Paloxite nodes here, and as a bonus, this area also contains Lifmunk Effigies, Cattiva Effigies, and a Yakumo Effigy. Fast travel back to base whenever you are loaded up.
Center of the World Tree Map
This is where the highest concentration of Paloxite can be found. Fast travel to the Gilded City Ruins and head north toward the center of the map. There are four specific areas with large clusters of Paloxite nodes here. The nodes are spread across different heights, so have your flying mount ready. This is also where the corrosive gas is more present, so make sure you have your Dandy Lord or Corrosive Mist Mask before going deep into this area.
The Dusty Ravine Area
The coordinates around -1560, 1510 are close to the Dusty Ravine fast travel point. There are three nodes here that are spaced closely enough that a single use of Holy Water can cover all of them if you move quickly. Good for short, efficient runs.
How to Farm Paloxite Efficiently
Here are some quick tips to make each run as productive as possible:
- Always have your Rainbow passive Pal in your party so you never waste Holy Water on mining.
- Use the Plasma Multicutter for fast node clearing — a slow pickaxe wastes the Holy Water buff timer.
- Keep capacity Pals like Lunaris or Kingpaca in the party so you can carry more ore per trip.
- Fast travel between the Remnant Riverside and Gilded City Ruins points to hit multiple clusters in one session before returning to base.
- Prioritize crafting the Corrosive Mist Mask early so the gas zones stop being a factor.

How to Craft Paloxite Ingot
Raw Paloxite ore on its own is not used in recipes. You need to smelt it into Paloxite Ingots first. Here is the recipe:
- Station: Ancient Furnace
- Technology Level Required: 74
- Recipe: 2 Paloxite + 1 Soralite + 1 World Tree Holy Water = 1 Paloxite Ingot
You will need both an Ancient Furnace and a Power Generator to run it. Assign a Pal with high Kindling and Cooling suitability to keep the furnace operating. Building multiple furnaces side by side speeds up production significantly when you are trying to stock up for big crafting sessions.
