TL;DR
- Lukov is found southeast of the Fellfrost Peak Statue of the Seven — look for the smoke rising from his tent.
- His three friends — Malkin, Morov, and Nalkin — are stranded across the snow and need hot tea delivered to them.
- Pick up a cup from Lukov, then use the Link Mechanism constructs to reach each friend before the Tea Temperature meter runs out.
- Do not break existing Link Mechanisms — they are your fastest route. Build extra ones for Nalkin if needed.

- This is a hidden open-world challenge with no quest tracker and no achievement attached.
What Is Lukov’s Hot Tea Quest in Genshin Impact?
Lukov’s Hot Tea quest is a hidden open-world challenge in Fellfrost Peak, one of Snezhnaya’s sub-regions introduced in Version 7.0. It is not a tracked quest and has no achievement, but it rewards a solid set of chests for relatively simple work. Lukov is an NPC sitting at a tent in the snow whose three friends — Malkin, Morov, and Nalkin — are stranded at various spots across the surrounding terrain. He wants to send them hot tea to keep them warm, but every cup he prepares goes cold before anyone can deliver it fast enough.
That is where the Traveler and Paimon come in. You pick up a cup, use the Link Mechanism Prime Ice Constructs already set up near the tent as fast-travel shortcuts, and reach each friend before the Tea Temperature meter at the top of the screen hits zero. Deliver to all three, return to Lukov, and your full set of chests is waiting.
Fellfrost Peak is also home to several other hidden challenges. While you are in the area, check out the Dragov Photo Shoot Puzzle Guide and the Empty Display Stands Quest Guide inside the nearby House of Hesperides for more open-world content to complete in the same visit.
How to Unlock the Challenge — Prerequisites
Before you can reach Lukov, you need access to Snezhnaya and specifically to Fellfrost Peak. Here is what is required:
- Complete Archon Quest Prologue: Act III – Song of the Dragon and Freedom. This unlocks a Teleport Waypoint in Snezhnaya and gives you the Eye of Graeae gadget, which powers the Prime Ice Construct system including Link Mechanisms.
- Progress through Archon Quest Chapter VII: Act I – Everwinter Without Mercy to unlock Snezhnayan world exploration and open-world quests.
- Reach Fellfrost Peak — the eastern sub-region of Snezhnaya where the House of Hesperides mountain mansion is located. Fast travel to the Fellfrost Peak Statue of the Seven to get close to Lukov quickly.
Where to Find Lukov in Genshin Impact
Lukov is located southeast of the Fellfrost Peak Statue of the Seven. After teleporting to that waypoint, look for a column of smoke rising from a tent in the snow to the southeast. The smoke is visible from a decent distance and acts as a reliable beacon — head straight toward it and you will find Lukov waiting at his campsite.
Approach him and interact to trigger the challenge. He explains his predicament — his three friends are stuck out in the cold and he has been unable to get hot tea to them before it cools in Snezhnaya’s freezing temperatures. Once you agree to help, the delivery challenge begins.
How the Tea Temperature Mechanic Works

Every time you pick up a cup of Hot Tea from Lukov, a Tea Temperature meter appears at the top of the screen. This meter drops continuously from the moment you grab the cup. If it reaches zero before you hand the tea to one of Lukov’s friends, the delivery fails and you have to return to Lukov for a fresh cup.
Running on foot across Fellfrost Peak’s snowy terrain is far too slow — the meter will hit zero long before you reach any of the three friends. The key to completing every delivery is the Link Mechanism Prime Ice Constructs already placed near Lukov’s tent. These function as fast-travel portals — enter one and you are transported instantly to a connected mechanism nearby, cutting the travel time dramatically and keeping the tea hot enough on arrival.
Important: Do not dismantle or break any of the existing Link Mechanism structures near Lukov’s tent. They are your fastest route to each friend. If you destroy them, you lose the pre-built path and will need to build replacement Link Mechanisms yourself using Kresnik Energy from your Eye of Graeae — costing you both time and energy.
Full Chest Rewards Overview
Here is what you earn from each step of Lukov’s Hot Tea challenge:
- Delivering to Malkin: Common Chest
- Delivering to Morov: Exquisite Chest
- Delivering to Nalkin: Exquisite Chest
- Speaking to Lukov after all three deliveries: Precious Chest (spawns next to his tent)
Four chests total — one Common, two Exquisite, and one Precious. Each contains a mix of Primogems, Adventure EXP, Mora, random artifacts, Cryo Sigils, and other Snezhnayan materials.
How to Deliver Hot Tea to Malkin
Malkin is the closest of the three friends and the easiest delivery to complete. Here is how to do it:

Step 1 — Pick Up the First Cup of Hot Tea
Talk to Lukov and select the option to take a cup of Hot Tea. The Tea Temperature meter immediately appears at the top of the screen the moment you grab it. Do not stop to explore or fight enemies — move directly toward the Link Mechanism.
Step 2 — Enter the Link Mechanism and Go Straight
Use the Link Mechanism near Lukov’s tent to teleport forward along the route toward Malkin. After exiting the mechanism, continue moving in the same direction without detours.
Step 3 — Find Malkin on the Cliff and Deliver
Once you exit the Link Mechanism, look up at the nearby cliff to spot Malkin waiting there. Climb or glide up to reach him and interact to hand over the Hot Tea while the meter still shows warmth. A Common Chest spawns immediately as your delivery reward. Return to Lukov’s tent for the next cup.
How to Deliver Hot Tea to Morov
Morov is a bit further out than Malkin but still reachable comfortably via the existing Link Mechanisms. Here is the route:

Step 1 — Grab a Fresh Cup from Lukov
The Tea Temperature meter resets fully every time you return to Lukov and take a new cup. The timing pressure starts fresh from his tent with each delivery, so do not worry about any leftover time from the Malkin run.
Step 2 — Follow the Link Mechanism Path Toward Morov
Enter the Link Mechanism near the tent and travel forward. Continue along the route until you see a Cryoculus positioned near another Link Mechanism ahead — that landmark confirms you are on the correct path toward Morov. Use that second mechanism to close more of the distance.
If you have already collected the Cryoculus in this area during your exploration, use the cliffside terrain and a nearby bear as your landmarks instead. The bear does not block the delivery route — you can pass it, fight it, or ignore it entirely without any impact on the quest.
Step 3 — Deliver to Morov and Collect the Chest
Reach Morov and hand over the Hot Tea before the meter drops to zero. An Exquisite Chest spawns as your reward. Before heading back to Lukov, take a moment to scan the surrounding terrain and locate where Nalkin is standing — knowing the route in advance makes the final delivery much smoother.
How to Deliver Hot Tea to Nalkin
Nalkin is the most challenging of the three deliveries because of the distance involved. A little preparation before picking up the final cup makes all the difference.

Step 1 — Scout Nalkin’s Position First
Before grabbing the final cup from Lukov, find Nalkin without the tea in hand and trace the full route you will need to take. Identify any gaps in the existing Link Mechanism path where the tea might go cold during the run. This is the most important step for the Nalkin delivery — knowing the exact path before the timer starts removes all guesswork.
Step 2 — Build an Extra Link Mechanism If Needed
If the existing Link Mechanism chain does not fully cover the route to Nalkin, open your Prime Ice Construct menu and build an additional Link Mechanism construct while you have no cup in hand. Place it at the gap point in the route so it is ready to use when you carry the tea. Building it now means zero setup time once the temperature meter is running.
Make sure your Eye of Graeae has enough Kresnik Energy to build the extra mechanism. If you are low, refill from Mini Kresnik Torches or by breaking Kresnik Kristall Ores nearby before starting this delivery.
Step 3 — Collect the Final Cup and Deliver
Return to Lukov, take the final cup of Hot Tea, and follow the Link Mechanism route you have prepared to reach Nalkin. Move without stopping and use every mechanism in the chain to maintain maximum speed. Hand over the tea to Nalkin while the meter still shows warmth and a second Exquisite Chest appears as your reward.

Finish the Challenge — Speak to Lukov for the Precious Chest
With all three deliveries complete — Malkin, Morov, and Nalkin all warmed up and satisfied — walk back to Lukov’s tent and speak to him one final time. He thanks you genuinely for saving his friends from the cold and expresses gratitude in true Snezhnayan fashion.
As he thanks you, a Precious Chest unlocks next to his tent. It was already sitting there but becomes openable only after all three deliveries are done and you have spoken to Lukov. Open it for your biggest reward of the challenge — Primogems, Cryo Sigils, level-up materials, and other quality Snezhnayan items.
The full set of four chests is now yours. The challenge is complete and requires no further interaction with Lukov.
Tips for Lukov’s Hot Tea Challenge
- Never break the existing Link Mechanisms. They are pre-placed specifically for this challenge. Dismantling them to clear space or reclaim Prime Ice resources forces you to rebuild them manually — wasting Kresnik Energy and removing your fastest delivery route.
- Scout before you carry. Always locate each friend’s position before picking up the cup, especially for Nalkin. Walking the route empty-handed first costs nothing and completely removes the risk of getting lost while the meter drops.
- Do not fight enemies while carrying tea. Combat stops your momentum entirely. If any enemies are on the delivery path, defeat them before picking up a cup or simply sprint past them. Every second counts once the meter is running.
- Build Nalkin’s extra mechanism during the Morov delivery. After reaching Morov, you have a good view of the terrain. Use that moment — before returning for the final cup — to build any extra Link Mechanism you need for the Nalkin route. It keeps the setup invisible within the natural flow of the challenge.
- Top up Kresnik Energy between deliveries. If you need to build an extra mechanism for Nalkin and your Eye of Graeae is running low, use any Mini Kresnik Torches near the tent area to refill between trips. Running dry mid-setup wastes time.
- Use gliding to descend quickly. Malkin is on a cliff above the exit point of the Link Mechanism. Rather than climbing, glide down from any higher point you can reach fast. This trims a few seconds off the Malkin delivery and keeps more meter in reserve when you arrive.
