Where the Laundry Disguise Is in 007 First Light
The Laundry Disguise in 007 First Light is located inside the hotel laundry room during the “All the Time in the World” mission. This is the eighth chapter in the game, set in a Slovakian hotel during a chess tournament. Bond is undercover as a chauffeur and is tracking a suspicious blond man dressed as a bellhop.
Before you can even reach the disguise, you first need to get into the laundry area. The door is locked with a four-digit code. You can find the full steps in our 007 First Light Hotel Laundry Area Code guide. The code is 1805, found in the hotel manager’s office.
Once you’re inside the laundry area, you’re ready to grab the disguise. Here’s how.
How to Get the Laundry Disguise Step by Step
Step 1 — Enter the Laundry Room
After punching in the code 1805 on the keypad, the door opens. Head inside. You’ll be in a room full of laundry workers and guards. Do not panic. You won’t need to fight anyone here if you play it smart.
Step 2 — Watch the Bellhop Scene
You’ll see the bellhop bribe the laundry workers, who then begin patrolling the area. Once this scene plays out, move to the left side of the room. Don’t go right. Stay low and move carefully.
Step 3 — Vault Over the Surface
On the left, you’ll find a surface you can vault over. Do it and keep moving forward. Hide behind a laundry cart when you get past it.
Step 4 — Spot the Two Guards at the Table
From behind the laundry cart, you’ll see two guards sitting at a table. The laundry hat you need is also on that table. You can’t just walk up and grab it — not yet.
Step 5 — Use the Q-Lens on the Air Conditioner
Press L1 (PS) or LB (Xbox) to activate the Q-Lens. You’ll see an air conditioner nearby. Hack it. This releases a puff of smoke that distracts both guards at once. This is your window.
Step 6 — Grab the Laundry Hat
While the guards are distracted by the smoke, walk calmly to the table. Do not run. Pick up the laundry hat. This hat acts as your disguise for the rest of the area.
Step 7 — Stand Up and Move to the Blue Marker
Once you have the hat, stop crouching. Stand up and walk normally toward the blue waypoint marker. The hat gives you cover. Most guards won’t bother you now.
How to Use the Laundry Disguise Without Getting Caught
This is the most important part. Not every guard in the laundry area is fooled by the disguise.
- Guards with an X above their head — These guards cannot spot you. Walk past them freely.
- Guards with a circle (O) above their head — These guards can see through the disguise. Avoid them completely or wait for them to look away.
Stick to the path marked by the blue objective marker. Don’t wander into restricted zones. If you stay on route and avoid the circle guards, you’ll clear the entire laundry section without a single fight.
Three Challenges You Can Complete With the Laundry Disguise
Getting the laundry hat isn’t just about progressing the story. It unlocks three challenges at the same time if done correctly. Here’s what each one requires:
Laundry Day Challenge
This challenge is completed simply by picking up the laundry hat and equipping the disguise. As long as you grab it during this section, the challenge pops automatically.
Squeaky Clean Challenge
For this one, you must pass through the entire laundry area without getting into any fights or getting spotted. Uninterrupted Service Challenge
This challenge requires you to move through the laundry area without disrupting any of the hotel staff. That means no distracting workers who aren’t guards, no knocking anything over, and no causing a scene. Combine this naturally with the Squeaky Clean run and you’ll finish both in a single attempt.
All three — Laundry Day, Squeaky Clean, and Uninterrupted Service — can be done in one clean playthrough of this section. No need to replay it multiple times.
What Happens After the Laundry Area
Once you pass through the laundry room using the disguise, you’ll climb into a study or library area. More guards are here, but the same rules apply. Stick to the left side of the room to stay out of their line of sight. Keep moving toward the blue markers.

Tips to Make This Section Easier
- Use the Q-Lens early. Hack the air conditioner before you try to move toward the table. Don’t get close to the guards before the smoke is released.
- Don’t crouch after grabbing the hat. Crouching while wearing the disguise looks suspicious. Stand up and act normal.
- Follow the blue marker. The game tells you where to go. Don’t deviate unless you’re specifically hunting a challenge.
- Save before entering the laundry area. If you mess up a challenge, you don’t want to redo the entire hotel section from scratch.
