Short field time requirement — Her rotation is quick. She uses her Skill, fires one Charged Shot, uses her Burst, and swaps out. She does not need extended on-field time to deliver her full buff package.
Buffs scale with Burst talent level — Her Anemo DMG Bonus provided to party members scales directly with her Burst talent level, meaning levelling her Burst directly improves the team’s output.
C6 is transformative — At C6, she adds a significant Anemo CRIT DMG bonus on top of her existing buffs and gains off-field Pressurized Collapse procs, dramatically elevating her support ceiling.

Faruzan’s Abilities and Talents

Normal Attack – Enigmatic Arrow

Faruzan performs up to four consecutive Bow shots. Her Aimed Shot deals Anemo damage when fully charged. Her Plunging Attack deals AoE damage on landing. Normal Attacks are not used in her support rotation and should be left at low talent level throughout her career as a support.

Elemental Skill – Wind Realm of Nasamjnin

Faruzan deploys a polyhedron that deals AoE Anemo damage to nearby opponents and enters the Manifest Gale state. While in this state, her next fully Charged Shot is converted into a Hurricane Arrow. The Hurricane Arrow creates a Pressurized Collapse effect on the target hit, which bursts after a short delay and deals AoE Anemo damage while pulling nearby enemies inward. This is the key step in her rotation. The Manifest Gale state persists even after Faruzan swaps off-field, and the Pressurized Collapse effect triggers her A4 passive — adding flat Anemo damage to nearby party members’ Anemo hits based on 32% of her Base ATK. Always fire the Hurricane Arrow before switching to the next support in the rotation.

Elemental Burst – The Wind’s Secret Ways

Faruzan deploys a Dazzling Polyhedron that moves continuously along a triangular path for its duration. Each time the polyhedron reaches a corner of the triangle, it unleashes a Whirlwind Pulse that simultaneously:

Deals AoE Anemo damage to nearby enemies.

Tomes Light the Path (A1) — When Faruzan’s Pressurized Collapse vortex is triggered, it restores Energy to Faruzan based on the number of opponents hit — 2 Energy for one opponent, with an additional 0.5 Energy per extra opponent, up to a maximum of 4 Energy per vortex. This supplemental Energy somewhat eases her high ER requirements but does not fully resolve them.

Best Weapons for Faruzan

Faruzan’s weapon priority is simple: Energy Recharge first, until she reaches her ER target, then anything that provides additional support value. Offensive weapon stats like ATK and CRIT provide marginal personal damage but do not meaningfully increase her support output, so ER weapons always take priority.

Best Weapons

Favonius Warbow (Best Overall) — This is Faruzan’s best weapon by a wide margin in almost all team compositions. The Energy Recharge substat directly addresses her biggest weakness, and the passive generates additional Elemental Particles for the entire team on CRIT hits. This reduces not only Faruzan’s own ER needs but also those of her teammates. To proc the passive reliably, aim for around 40–50% CRIT Rate on her artifacts. The most important weapon choice for any Faruzan build.
Elegy for the End — A 5-star bow with Energy Recharge as a substat and a passive that grants a team-wide Elemental Mastery buff and ATK% buff when it procs. Faruzan needs to be at C6 to proc the passive reliably through her Pressurized Collapse hits. In teams where EM matters (Swirl teams) or where the ATK% buff benefits the Anemo DPS, this is her best 5-star and competes with Favonius depending on the team.
End of the Line (Craftable) — A craftable bow with an ER substat and a passive that creates Tidewater Nets from Normal, Charged, or Plunging Attacks, dealing AoE DMG. The ER substat makes it a solid F2P alternative if you cannot obtain Favonius Warbow from events or wishes. Worth crafting early on.
Sacrificial Bow — Has Energy Recharge as its substat and a passive that has a chance to reset the Elemental Skill cooldown after it deals damage. This allows Faruzan to potentially fire two Hurricane Arrows per rotation, generating more particles and triggering more Pressurized Collapse procs. A viable option at higher constellation levels.
Skyward Harp — A 5-star bow with CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG. More useful at C6 when Faruzan is actively dealing Pressurized Collapse damage, but generally inferior to Elegy or Favonius for her support role because it does not help with ER.

Noblesse Oblige (4-Piece) – Best at C0 to C5

Before reaching C6, Noblesse Oblige is Faruzan’s best artifact set. The 4-piece bonus grants all party members a 20% ATK buff for 12 seconds after Faruzan uses her Burst. Since she uses her Burst every rotation, this buff has near-permanent uptime. It provides meaningful team-wide ATK amplification without requiring Faruzan to deal damage herself. Only use this if no other teammate already holds Noblesse Oblige, as the ATK buff does not stack from multiple copies.

Tenacity of the Millelith (4-Piece) – Best at C6

At C6, Faruzan’s Burst periodically triggers Pressurized Collapses from off-field via the Whirlwind Pulses. These hits consistently proc the Tenacity of the Millelith 4-piece bonus, which grants all party members 20% ATK and 30% Shield Strength for 3 seconds on Elemental Skill hits. At C6, she can maintain near-permanent Tenacity uptime, giving the team a combination of ATK buffs that stacks with Noblesse Oblige held by a different character. This set becomes her best-in-slot only after C6 is reached.

Viridescent Venerer (4-Piece) – Situational

Viridescent Venerer provides 40% Elemental RES shred for the Swirled element. However, Viridescent Venerer shreds the resistance of whatever element gets Swirled — not Anemo resistance directly. Because Faruzan’s Burst already shreds Anemo RES through its own mechanic, this set does not add additional Anemo RES shred. It is more useful in teams where Faruzan is also Swirling other elements to support non-Anemo damage dealers. In dedicated Anemo DPS teams, Noblesse Oblige and Tenacity of the Millelith are preferred.

Recommended Substats and ER Targets

Energy Recharge is the top priority. ER requirements vary by constellation and team composition. As a rough guideline: aim for 220–240% ER in double Anemo teams and 190–205% in triple Anemo teams before C6. At C6, ER needs fall to approximately 175–200% in double Anemo and 160–185% in triple Anemo setups. Always adjust based on your specific team’s particle generation. After meeting the ER threshold, prioritise CRIT Rate (for Favonius proc) and ATK%.

Faruzan Constellations Guide

Faruzan is uniquely constellation-dependent for a 4-star character. While she is usable at C0, her potential grows dramatically with each constellation, and C6 is effectively the goal. Because she is on the Standard Banner and appears frequently as a featured 4-star, reaching higher constellations is realistic over time.

C1 – An Eye for Detail: Faruzan can fire up to two Hurricane Arrows under a single Manifest Gale state from her Elemental Skill. While this might seem like a damage increase and ER improvement at first glance, actively using both Charged Shots per rotation actually reduces overall team DPS by extending Faruzan’s field time. Only use the second arrow if you specifically need the extra particles for Energy. Generally, one arrow per rotation is correct.
C2 – Overfulfilled Expectations (Priority Milestone): The duration of the Dazzling Polyhedron from her Burst is increased by 6 seconds — from 12 to 18 seconds. This is Faruzan’s most important constellation before C6. The extended duration dramatically improves Anemo RES shred and Anemo DMG Bonus uptime for the team, making rotations much more comfortable and consistent. Always aim to reach C2 at minimum.

This supplements but does not fully resolve her ER needs. With C6 generating more Pressurized Collapses, C4’s Energy restoration becomes more frequent and meaningful.
C5 – Deductive Prowess: Increases the level of The Wind’s Secret Ways (Burst) by 3, up to a maximum of level 15. Directly increases the Anemo DMG Bonus provided to party members, since that buff scales with Burst talent level. A meaningful upgrade that improves the team’s damage output.
C6 – The Secret Trove of the Void (Most Important): When the Dazzling Polyhedron’s Whirlwind Pulses trigger, they also apply a Pressurized Collapse to nearby opponents. In addition, all party members affected by the Prayerful Wind’s Benefit gain a 40% bonus to Anemo CRIT DMG. This constellation transforms Faruzan’s support ceiling. The off-field Pressurized Collapses provide consistent damage and Energy generation without any additional field time, and the 40% Anemo CRIT DMG bonus is one of the largest CRIT DMG buffs in the entire game. This is the reason Faruzan is considered mandatory in optimised Wanderer and Xiao teams at high investment levels.

Faruzan’s Best Team Compositions

Faruzan’s placement in the meta is tied directly to the viability of Anemo DPS characters. She belongs in every team where an Anemo carry is the primary source of damage. Outside of Anemo DPS teams, she has minimal utility.

Wanderer (Scaramouche) Teams

Wanderer is Faruzan’s most natural pairing. He deals exclusively Anemo damage during his Skill stance, which means every single one of Faruzan’s buffs — Anemo RES shred, Anemo DMG Bonus, A4 flat damage, and C6 CRIT DMG bonus — applies to his entire damage output. Additionally, when Wanderer’s Skill makes contact with Pyro or Hydro before fully activating, his Kuugoryoku Point cap increases and his ATK rises by 30%. Teams are built around triggering these element contacts.

Wanderer + Faruzan + Bennett + Xingqiu — The classic and most recommended Wanderer team. Bennett provides ATK buff, healing, and Pyro contact for Wanderer’s Kuugoryoku bonus. Xingqiu provides Hydro contact for the second Kuugoryoku stack and adds off-field Hydro sub-DPS. Faruzan provides Anemo RES shred and DMG bonus. A consistently strong composition in most Spiral Abyss scenarios.
Wanderer + Faruzan + Bennett + Yelan — Replaces Xingqiu with Yelan for higher sub-DPS output from the Hydro slot. Yelan’s passive also boosts team DMG% over time. A premium variant with stronger secondary damage.
Wanderer + Faruzan + Rosaria + Bennett — A more accessible variant using Cryo Resonance and Rosaria’s CRIT Rate buff. Wanderer only gets a single Kuugoryoku bonus from Bennett in this setup, but the CRIT Rate increase compensates for the DPS loss in many scenarios.

Xiao Teams

Xiao is Faruzan’s other primary partner. His plunging attacks during his Bane of All Evil Burst deal entirely Anemo damage, so Faruzan’s full buff set applies directly. Xiao cannot use his Burst while Faruzan is on-field, so rotation timing is important — all support actions must happen before or after Xiao’s Burst window.

Xiao + Faruzan + Xianyun + Furina — The current strongest Xiao team. Xianyun buffs Xiao’s Plunging Attack damage with her Crane’s Call passive and provides healing for Furina’s HP drain mechanic. Furina amplifies the entire team’s damage via Fanfare. Faruzan provides Anemo RES shred and C6 CRIT DMG. An SS-tier team that takes Xiao’s ceiling to a new level.
Xiao + Faruzan + Bennett + Zhongli — A more classic Xiao setup. Bennett provides ATK buff and healing. Zhongli shields Xiao during his Burst and provides Geo Resonance universal RES shred. Faruzan buffs Anemo damage. Comfortable and accessible without needing Xianyun or Furina.
Xiao + Faruzan + Jean + Bennett — Jean provides healing and at C2 grants 15% ATK Speed to the team, which benefits Xiao’s attack cadence. Jean also functions as an Anemo battery to help manage Xiao’s Energy. Bennett offers ATK and healing redundancy. A durable and well-rounded setup.

Venti Teams

After receiving kit buffs in patch 6.2 that boosted his Normal Attack damage potential, Venti became a more viable Anemo DPS option in Hexerei-compatible team setups. While Faruzan does not buff Venti as efficiently as she buffs Wanderer or Xiao (since Venti deals mixed damage types), she remains a valid support pick when Venti is acting as the primary Anemo damage dealer.

Faruzan Talent Priority

Recommended talent upgrade order: Burst > Skill = Normal Attack (at C6 give Skill equal priority to Burst) > Normal Attack (before C6).

The Burst is the top priority because the Anemo DMG Bonus granted to party members scales directly with Burst talent level. Levelling it is a direct buff to your entire team’s damage output. At C6, the Elemental Skill becomes equally important because the Burst triggers Pressurized Collapses off-field, and those procs scale with Skill talent level. Normal Attacks are never levelled in her support role — they provide no meaningful value.

Reaching Ascension 6 (Level 90) is specifically recommended for Faruzan because her A4 passive adds flat Anemo damage based on 32% of her Base ATK. A higher level and more ATK from Ascension directly increase the flat damage bonus applied to the team’s Anemo hits.

Standard rotation — Use her Elemental Skill → fire one fully Charged Hurricane Arrow (Pressurized Collapse) → use her Burst → swap to the next support → eventually swap to the Anemo DPS for their damage window.
