Alyosha Best Build In Genshin Impact

    By Mark Smith · August 13, 2026 · Updated October 18, 2026 · 14 min read
    alyosha best build overview

Alyosha best build in Genshin Impact is straightforward once you understand what his kit actually needs. Alyosha is the free 4-star Electro Polearm character you earn during the Version 7.0 Archon Quest, and he is built as a pure off-field support for Stellar-Conduct teams. He uses his Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst, swaps out immediately, and lets his companion Tugarin do the work from off the field — healing, applying Electro, and keeping his ATK and Stellar-Conduct buffs active on the team.

His build priority is simple: Energy Recharge first, ATK second. Everything else follows from there. This guide covers his best weapons, best artifact sets, stat priority, talent order, and constellation breakdown. For the best teams to put him in, see our Alyosha best teams guide. Alyosha Version 7.1 Update

Version 7.1 (A Rekviem for the Underworld, released September 23, 2026) made one change directly relevant to Alyosha players: Alyosha is now available on the Wanderlust Invocation standard banner. Players who missed him during the Version 7.0 event window or want additional copies for constellations can now pull for him at any time from the permanent wish pool.

There were no changes to Alyosha’s kit, stats, or constellations in Version 7.1. His build, rotation, and team recommendations remain unchanged. The two new 7.1 characters — Vesna (5-star Anemo) and Vodyanitsa (5-star Hydro Catalyst) — are oriented around Stellar Swirl rather than Stellar Conduct, and do not materially alter Alyosha’s position in Stellar-Conduct team compositions. Version 7.1 also fixed a bug where Beidou’s C6 Stellar-Conduct Elemental Mastery buff occasionally failed to apply, which is a minor positive for any Alyosha team running Beidou as a second Electro unit.

Alyosha Overview — What He Does

Alyosha is a 4-star Electro Polearm support whose entire value lives in a two-ability rotation. He applies Hunter’s Mark to enemies with his Elemental Skill, then casts his Elemental Burst to summon Tugarin, his hunting hound. After that, he swaps out. Tugarin stays on the field for the duration of the Burst, attacking every two seconds, prioritizing marked enemies, healing the active character with each hit, and applying off-field Electro.

When Tugarin activates an existing Hunter’s Mark, it triggers Hunter’s Precision — a team-wide buff that increases all nearby characters’ ATK and, inside a Polestar Field, raises their Stellar-Conduct damage. His second ascension passive makes this buff even stronger, and his C6 doubles the ATK% and Stellar-Conduct buffs while adding 100 Elemental Mastery to the active character.

Because his healing and personal damage both scale from ATK, and because his Ascension 2 passive converts every 1% of Energy Recharge into 0.35% extra Skill and Burst damage (capped at 70%), Energy Recharge and ATK are the two stats that matter most. Build those first and everything else falls into place.

    Alyosha Stat Priority

Alyosha’s stat priority is one of the clearest of any support character in Version 7.0. There is very little ambiguity about what he wants:

    • Energy Recharge (top priority): His Burst is the source of Tugarin, the healing, the off-field Electro, and a large portion of his buff uptime. Missing his Burst in a rotation means losing all of that simultaneously. Aim for 180–200%+ ER as a starting point. With a second Electro character in the team or a Favonius weapon, you can get away with less. In harder content or when solo Electro, push higher.
    • ATK% (second priority): His healing scales directly from ATK, and his Skill and Burst damage both use ATK as well. More ATK means more healing per Tugarin hit and slightly more off-field damage.
    • CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG: These matter if you are using Favonius Lance (needs enough CRIT Rate to reliably trigger the passive) or running a more damage-focused Emblem of Severed Fate build. Otherwise treat them as substat bonuses rather than primary targets.
    • Elemental Mastery: Becomes noticeably more valuable at C6 when Alyosha grants +100 EM to the active character — this amplifies the Stellar-Conduct damage and Vortex detonations for the whole team.

    Artifact Main Stats

    • Sands: Energy Recharge
    • Goblet: Electro DMG Bonus or ATK%
    • Circlet: CRIT Rate (if using Favonius Lance) or CRIT DMG (if using other weapons)

    Substat Priority

Energy Recharge → CRIT Rate → CRIT DMG → ATK% → Elemental Mastery

    Best Weapons For Alyosha

Alyosha does not need a 5-star weapon to function well. His best-in-slot is a Battle Pass option and his top F2P pick is completely free to obtain. The key attribute to look for in any weapon is Energy Recharge on the substat, or a passive that provides Energy particles for the team.

Frostbreath (Best Overall — Battle Pass)

Frostbreath is the standout pick for Alyosha. It carries an Energy Recharge substat, which directly addresses his most important stat need. Its passive gives Alyosha a 20% ATK boost for 15 seconds after triggering a Cryo or Hydro reaction, and more importantly, regenerates 6 Elemental Energy for all other party members on the same trigger. This turns Alyosha into a battery for the whole team on top of his support role — an exceptional value for one weapon slot.

Song Of The Vigil (Best Craftable — 4-Star)

Song of the Vigil is a forgeable 4-star polearm introduced in Version 7.0. It has an Elemental Mastery substat and a passive that grants up to 40% ATK whenever Stellar Glimmer reactions trigger. Because the passive activates off-field, it lines up perfectly with Tugarin’s Electro hits during Alyosha’s Burst window. A strong alternative to Frostbreath for players who do not have the Battle Pass.

    Engulfing Lightning (5-Star)

Engulfing Lightning gives the highest raw Energy Recharge of any weapon and converts excess ER into additional ATK (up to 80% ATK from ER). This is the ceiling for a damage-leaning Burst build, best paired with the Emblem of Severed Fate artifact set. You need Crit from substats to make it work since neither the weapon nor the set provides Crit directly, but when properly built it pushes his personal damage and healing higher than any other option.

    The Catch (Best F2P — 4-Star)

The Catch is the most accessible strong weapon for Alyosha. Obtained for free from the Fishing Association, it has an Energy Recharge substat and at R5 grants +32% Burst DMG and +12% Burst CRIT Rate. Since his Burst is everything, both bonuses land directly where he needs them. This is the best option for players who cannot access Battle Pass or 5-star weapons.

Favonius Lance (Best Battery — 4-Star)

Favonius Lance prioritizes team Energy over Alyosha’s personal output. CRIT hits generate Elemental Particles for the whole party, making it exceptional in teams where the main DPS has high Burst costs — like Cyno or Sandrone. Build enough CRIT Rate on Alyosha (50–60%) to trigger the passive consistently. The trade is some personal damage and healing in exchange for dramatically reducing Energy requirements for every other character in the team.

    Skyward Spine (5-Star F2P Alternative)

Skyward Spine carries an Energy Recharge substat and boosts CRIT Rate, covering two of Alyosha’s secondary needs at once. A solid pick if it is available and a dedicated polearm slot has not yet been assigned to another character.

    Best Artifact Sets For Alyosha

Alyosha’s artifact set choice is not just about his personal output — it is about which set benefits the whole team most. The key decision is whether another character on your team is already wearing Heart of the Furnace, since the four-piece bonus does not stack from multiple wearers.

4-Piece Heart Of The Furnace (Best Default)

Heart of the Furnace is Alyosha’s best set when no teammate is already running it. The four-piece effect works off-field, which is where Alyosha spends almost all of his time during a rotation. It gives him roughly +30% ATK for himself and, crucially, raises Stellar-Conduct reaction damage for all nearby allies by 50%. This stacks directly on top of the Stellar-Conduct buff his own kit provides, making his total contribution to team reaction damage very high. The set is from the new Snezhnaya artifact domain added in Version 7.0.

Important: If Odette or another support is already running Heart of the Furnace, equipping Alyosha with a second copy provides zero additional benefit. Switch to Noblesse Oblige instead.

4-Piece Noblesse Oblige (When Heart of the Furnace Is Taken)

Noblesse Oblige is the go-to alternative when a teammate already wears Heart of the Furnace. The four-piece boosts Alyosha’s own Burst damage by 20% and grants the entire team +20% ATK for 12 seconds after he uses his Burst. Since his Burst is the first thing he casts each rotation, the ATK buff is active for the whole window that follows. This is a widely farmed set that most players already have pieces of, making it easy to throw on him early.

4-Piece Emblem Of Severed Fate (Damage Build)

Emblem of Severed Fate is the damage-focused option, best paired with Engulfing Lightning. The four-piece converts 25% of Energy Recharge into Burst DMG Bonus (capped at 75%), which combined with Engulfing Lightning’s ATK conversion creates a meaningful personal damage spike. You need Crit from substats since neither the weapon nor the set provides it, but for players who want to push Alyosha’s off-field damage alongside his support role, this setup is worth building toward.

    Alyosha Talent Priority

Talent leveling for Alyosha is direct — his Burst carries the most weight by far:

    • Elemental Burst (Hunter’s Advance) — Level first: Everything important about Alyosha happens here. Tugarin’s healing, off-field Electro, and damage all scale with the Burst talent level. This is always the first talent to upgrade.
    • Elemental Skill (Thunderbolt Strike) — Level second: His Skill applies Hunter’s Mark to enemies, which then activates and grants the team the ATK% and Stellar-Conduct DMG buffs. The buff values scale with talent level, so upgrading it after the Burst is worthwhile.
    • Normal Attack — Level last: Alyosha almost never normal attacks in actual rotations. This talent can stay at level 1 until you have fully leveled the other two.

    Alyosha Constellation Guide

Alyosha is a 4-star character, which means his constellations are obtainable from the standard wish pool and reruns over time. As of Version 7.1, he is also available on the Wanderlust Invocation standard banner permanently, making constellation farming more consistent going forward. Two constellations — C2 and C6 — stand out as meaningful upgrades worth investing toward.

C1 — Frostvale Thunderclap (Low Priority, Quality of Life)

When nearby party members trigger an Electro-related reaction against an enemy, Alyosha restores 15 Elemental Energy. This can occur once every 18 seconds. At C1 this significantly reduces his Energy Recharge requirements when the team is actively triggering Electro reactions — which in a Stellar-Conduct team happens constantly. Practically speaking, C1 lets you run fewer ER substats and shift more into ATK or Crit. It is not a huge gameplay shift, but it is a genuine quality-of-life improvement.

C2 — Howl From Afar (Priority)

Extends the duration of Hunter’s Advance (the Burst) by 6 seconds and lets Tugarin apply Hunter’s Mark before each of his attacks. This application cannot activate an existing Mark — only apply a fresh one. The Burst extension is the more impactful part, giving Tugarin more time to heal, apply Electro, and activate Hunter’s Precision buffs. The Mark application from Tugarin is especially useful in multi-target content where new enemies enter mid-rotation. C2 is the first constellation to prioritize.

C4 — Harvest the Spoils (High Value)

Tugarin’s attacks now also heal the party member with the lowest HP percentage for 60% of Alyosha’s ATK. Before C4, Tugarin only healed the active on-field character. C4 extends this to the most vulnerable party member regardless of who is on-field, which meaningfully improves team survivability in difficult content. A solid upgrade particularly in teams where off-field characters take incidental damage. Note: a bug in Version 7.1 fixed Beidou’s C6 Stellar-Conduct EM buff occasionally failing — teams running Beidou alongside Alyosha will notice improved consistency from this fix.

C6 — Standard Reclaimed (Top Priority)

This is where Alyosha’s support value doubles. Hunter’s Precision can now stack up to two times. At two stacks, affected characters gain an additional +100 Elemental Mastery. The practical effect of C6 is that his ATK% and Stellar-Conduct DMG buffs are doubled — roughly going from 25% ATK / 20% Stellar-Conduct at base to 50% ATK / 40% Stellar-Conduct at two stacks — while the +100 EM bonus amplifies reaction damage and Vortex detonations across the board. Before C6, Qiqi can edge out Alyosha in some Stellar-Conduct teams simply as a better healer. After C6, Alyosha becomes the unambiguous stronger pick for any Stellar-Conduct lineup. C6 is the ultimate goal if you invest in this character.

    Alyosha Rotation Guide

Alyosha’s rotation is one of the simplest in the game. The exact order matters slightly depending on constellation level:

At C0–C1: Elemental Skill → Elemental Burst → swap out. Skill first ensures Hunter’s Mark is on the enemy before Tugarin starts attacking, so he activates the mark and triggers Hunter’s Precision buffs from the very first hit.

At C2+: You can also Burst first, then Skill. Tugarin applies Hunter’s Mark before each attack at C2, so the mark gets placed even without the Skill going first. This order lets you funnel Elemental Particles from the Skill to a teammate who needs the Energy before you swap.

After the Burst animation, swap immediately. There is no reason to keep Alyosha on-field. His entire kit functions off the field through Tugarin. Total field time per rotation: roughly 3–5 seconds.

    Is Alyosha Worth Building?

Yes — and especially so because he is completely free. Alyosha is obtained automatically during the Everwinter Without Mercy Archon Quest in Version 7.0 and requires no wishes. As of Version 7.1, he is also available on the permanent Wanderlust Invocation standard banner, making it easier to pick up constellation copies over time. For any player building a Stellar-Conduct team around Sandrone, Cyno, Wriothesley, or Cryo Traveler, Alyosha slots into the support role with a combination of ATK buffs, Stellar-Conduct damage buffs, off-field Electro, and healing that no other single character in his rarity tier currently matches.

His main limitation before C6 is that his buff values are modest enough that Qiqi can compete with him as a Cryo support option in some lineups — particularly when you need more healing than buffing. But even at C0 he provides things Qiqi cannot: off-field Electro application, the Stellar-Conduct damage bonus, and the enemy taunt from Tugarin. After C6, the comparison is not close. Build him, invest in C2 as the first milestone, and treat C6 as a longer-term goal. With Alyosha now on the standard banner, casual pulls will add constellations passively over time.
