TL;DR
- Vodyanitsa is a 5-star Hydro Catalyst from Genshin Impact Version 7.1.
- Her ascension uses Varunada Lazurite gems, Frostfairy Flower, Unscorched Blossom Branch, and Chimeric enemy drops.
- Her talent books are the Fortitude series — farmed at Relics of the Fallen Grace on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
- Her weekly boss drop is Madman’s Restraint from The Doctor at the False Moon Institute in Nod-Krai.
- Level her Elemental Skill first — it holds all her healing, RES shred, and HP-based buffs.
- Full Level 90 plus all three talents to Level 10 costs 420,000 Mora for ascension and roughly 4,957,500 Mora for talents.
Vodyanitsa is one of the strongest supports released in Genshin Impact Version 7.1. Her entire kit scales off Max HP, so leveling her up and maxing her Elemental Skill talent makes a real difference in how much healing and how many damage buffs she contributes to your team. This guide lists every ascension and talent material she needs, the exact quantities, and the best ways to farm them.
If you want to learn how to build her once she is fully leveled, check out our Vodyanitsa Best Build guide. For a full look at her kit and lore, see the Vodyanitsa character overview.

Where to Farm Vodyanitsa’s Ascension Materials
Varunada Lazurite Gems
Varunada Lazurite Sliver, Fragment, Chunk, and Gemstone are the Hydro ascension stones. You can farm them by defeating the following bosses:
- Hydro Hypostasis
- Hydro Tulpa
- Frostnight Herra
- Rhodeia of Loch
- All-Devouring Narwhal
- Tartaglia (Childe) weekly boss
You can also craft higher-tier gems using Alchemy if you have excess lower-tier pieces. Lower rarity gems convert upward at the crafting table using Dust of Azoth.
Frostfairy Flower
Frostfairy Flower is a Snezhnaya local specialty. You need 168 of them total for full ascension, which is a large amount. Start collecting these early since the plant respawn timer takes real-world time. The best spots are around Snezhnograd and the White Birch Snowgrave area. See our Frostfairy Flower locations guide for a full map of where to find them efficiently.
Unscorched Blossom Branch
Unscorched Blossom Branch is dropped by the Immortal Construct boss in Snezhnaya. You need 46 total across all ascension phases. Check out our Immortal Construct boss guide for tips on how to defeat it quickly and farm the drops efficiently.
Chimeric Enemy Drops
Chimeric Core, Symbiotic Chimeric Nucleus, and Prime Chimeric Nexus are all dropped by Aberrant Chimeric Monsters found across Snezhnaya. Weaker Chimeric enemies drop Chimeric Core, stronger ones drop Symbiotic Chimeric Nucleus, and elite versions drop Prime Chimeric Nexus. These same drops are also used for talent upgrades, so expect to farm Chimeric monsters heavily when building Vodyanitsa.

Where to Farm Vodyanitsa’s Talent Materials
Fortitude Talent Books
Teachings of Fortitude, Guide to Fortitude, and Philosophies of Fortitude are farmed at the Relics of the Fallen Grace domain in Snezhnaya. This domain is available on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The same Fortitude books are also used for Alyosha and Cryo Traveler, so if you are building those characters alongside Vodyanitsa, plan your resin accordingly.
You need 186 Fortitude books in total across all three talents. That is a large number. Start farming these as early as possible since you can only run this domain three days a week.
Madman’s Restraint
Madman’s Restraint is the weekly boss talent material for Vodyanitsa. It drops from The Doctor (Heretic of the False Moon) fought at the False Moon Institute Trounce Domain in Nod-Krai. You need 18 total across all three talents. This weekly boss also drops the talent material used by Alyosha, so you may already be running this fight each week. You need to be at World Level 4 or above and complete the prerequisite Archon Quests to unlock the Trounce Domain.
Crown of Insight
Crown of Insight is used only when pushing a talent beyond Level 10 — specifically to levels 11, 12, or 13, which are unlocked by specific constellations. You need one Crown per talent you want to push to Level 13. Crowns are obtained through limited events, the Frostbearing Tree, the Sacred Sakura, and other in-game rewards. They are scarce, so only use them on talents that make a direct impact — for Vodyanitsa, that means her Elemental Skill.
Vodyanitsa Talent Priority
Always level Vodyanitsa’s talents in this order:
- 1st — Elemental Skill (Rechitativ: Sonorous Dawn): This is where all her healing, Hydro and Cryo RES shred, and HP-based flat damage bonuses live. Every talent level improves the RES reduction percentage and the amount she heals. This is the only talent that truly matters.
- 2nd — Elemental Burst (Koda: Sink With Thee): Optional. Level this if you plan to use her Burst regularly in rotation. In most teams she does not need it.
- 3rd — Normal Attack: Skip this entirely. Vodyanitsa almost never uses Normal Attacks in her support rotation.

- Crown of Insight x3
- Hero’s Wit x421 (approximate EXP books needed)
- Mora x7,050,030 (combined total)
Farming Priority Order
With so many materials required, it helps to know which to focus on first:
- Start with Frostfairy Flower. You need 168 and it has a real-world respawn timer. The sooner you begin, the less you will be waiting later.
- Farm Fortitude talent books next. You only get three days a week to run the domain. Begin as early as possible.
- Run the Immortal Construct boss weekly for Unscorched Blossom Branch. See our guide on how to beat the Immortal Construct if you need help.
- Fight Chimeric Monsters in Snezhnaya regularly. Their drops are used in both ascension and talents, so the combined demand is very high.
- Clear The Doctor each week for Madman’s Restraint. You need 18 across all three talents, so this takes several weeks to fully stock.
