    Vodyanitsa Genshin Impact 2

    TL;DR

    • Vodyanitsa is a 5-star Hydro Catalyst support released in Genshin Impact Version 7.1.
    • She is the Prima Donna of the Korolevskiy Troupe and a Water Imp from Snezhnaya.
    • Her entire kit scales off Max HP — aim for around 65,000 HP to fully cap her buffs.
    • Her Elemental Skill shreds Hydro, Cryo, and Anemo RES while healing off-field.
    • She is one of the best supports for Stellar Swirl and Freeze teams.
    • C0 is fully functional — her full support kit requires no constellation investment.
    • C2 is the best constellation to aim for if you want to go further.

Vodyanitsa is one of the most anticipated characters introduced in Genshin Impact Version 7.1. She is a 5-star Hydro Catalyst user from Snezhnaya who fills the role of off-field healer, resistance shredder, and team buffer all at once. Every part of her support kit runs off her Max HP, which makes her one of the simplest and most efficient supports to build in the game.

This page covers everything you need to know about Vodyanitsa — her background, her abilities, her ascension materials, her constellations, and her role in the current meta. If you want a full breakdown of how to build her with the best weapons and artifacts, check out our Vodyanitsa Best Build guide.

    Who Is Vodyanitsa?

Vodyanitsa is the Prima Donna of the Korolevskiy Troupe, the most prestigious performing company in Snezhnaya. She is a Water Imp — a rare type of fae native to the waterways of the region — and widely regarded as the finest singer among her kind.

She was born in Snezhnaya during the reign of the Belyi Tsar. Her parents were exceptional singers, renowned throughout the land even among the naturally gifted Water Imps. When the Belyi Tsar died and Anastasya claimed his throne, many fae were forced to leave Snezhnaya. Vodyanitsa’s family settled in distant waters, but she herself continued wandering through Teyvat’s waterways as an adult, following both heart and current. Her talent eventually brought her to the Korolevskiy Troupe’s stage, where she debuted to a full house and earned her place as Prima Donna.

Her title is Lingering Siren-Song, hinting at a secretive and mysterious side beneath her confident performer’s exterior. Her constellation is named Piscicula Aurea, Latin for “little fish of gold,” a nod to both her Hydro heritage and her status as a prestigious artist.

In terms of appearance, Vodyanitsa has long dark teal hair, pale blue eyes, and light blue fin-like features on either side of her head. She wears a frilly white and teal dress. When she enters a large body of water, she transforms into a mermaid form with a dark teal crystalline tail. This form is also reflected in her exploration ability — holding her Elemental Skill outside of combat lets her swim faster through Snezhnaya’s waters.

    How to Get Vodyanitsa

Vodyanitsa is a limited 5-star character. She was available on her limited rate-up event wish banner during Version 7.1 Phase 1, running from September 23, 2026 to October 13, 2026. Like all limited characters, she will return on re-run banners in future versions. She cannot be obtained from the standard Wanderlust Invocation banner.

    Vodyanitsa Base Stats (Level 90)

    • Base HP: 14,818
    • Base ATK: 108
    • Base DEF: 484
    • Ascension Stat: HP% 28.8%

Her base HP at max level is high compared to most characters, and her ascension stat adds even more HP on top. This is by design — her healing, resistance shred, and passive scaling all grow with Max HP. Aim for around 65,000 Max HP with artifacts and weapons to fully cap her Dirge of the Fandyr passive.

    Vodyanitsa Abilities and Kit

Normal Attack — Lamento: Wavecrest Serenade

Vodyanitsa performs up to four consecutive Hydro attacks with her Normal Attack. She can also plunge from mid-air, dealing AoE Hydro damage on impact. In practice, you will almost never use her Normal Attacks in her support rotation. Her Elemental Skill does all the heavy lifting.

Elemental Skill — Rechitativ: Sonorous Dawn

This is the center of Vodyanitsa’s entire kit. When she uses her Elemental Skill, she enters the Song of Ages Past state and summons the Horn of Spring’s Call. This off-field construct attacks nearby enemies every 3 seconds, dealing Hydro damage. Each hit does the following:

    • Reduces enemy Hydro and Cryo RES by up to 30% for 6 seconds.
    • Heals the active character based on Vodyanitsa’s Max HP every 1.5 seconds.
    • Provides interruption resistance to whoever is on the field.
    • Applies Hydro to enemies, enabling reactions off-field.

The 16-second cooldown matches the duration of the Skill’s effects, meaning there is essentially no downtime when you weave her into the rotation correctly. Vodyanitsa uses her Skill, swaps to the main DPS, and all her benefits apply automatically from the backline for the rest of the rotation.

Holding the Skill outside of combat activates her Water Imp exploration form, letting her swim faster in water at the cost of increased Stamina usage.

Elemental Burst — Koda: Sink With Thee

Vodyanitsa’s Burst deals AoE Hydro damage to nearby enemies. It is not a major part of her support rotation in most teams. Her Skill already delivers everything she needs, so her Burst is optional — use it for extra Hydro damage or Energy feed when convenient, but do not build Energy Recharge specifically for it unless your team benefits from more frequent uses.

Passive Talent 1 — The Last Djeguako Songstress

When Vodyanitsa’s Elemental Skill is used, she gains 25 stacks of Lead Vocal and 10 stacks of Chorus. Each Lead Vocal and Chorus stack increases the flat damage added to Hydro, Cryo, and Stellar Swirl hits respectively, scaling with her Max HP. Both effects last 30 seconds and refresh every time she uses her Skill. This is where the majority of her team damage contribution comes from in Stellar Swirl lineups.

Passive Talent 2 — Dirge of the Fandyr

This passive activates whenever a Stellar Vortex is generated or detonated while Vodyanitsa is in the party. Nearby enemies lose 30% Anemo RES for 6 seconds. Combined with her Skill’s Hydro and Cryo RES shred, this means she can reduce three elemental resistances simultaneously — a rare and extremely powerful support property that makes her especially strong in Stellar Swirl and Freeze team compositions.

    Vodyanitsa Constellations

C1 — Waters in Full Splendor

Each time Vodyanitsa triggers the healing effect of Song of Ages Past, she increases the ATK of all nearby party members by 0.8% of her Max HP for 5 seconds. At 65,000 HP, this adds over 500 flat ATK to the whole team with every healing tick, which happens frequently. This is a steady, consistent buff that improves every rotation.

C2 — Echoes That Pierce the Snow

When the Horn of Spring’s Call attacks an enemy, Vodyanitsa gains the “Two Voices in Black and White” effect, which increases the active character’s Hydro and Cryo CRIT DMG by 50% for 5 seconds. This is her strongest constellation and the clear target if you want to invest in her. It provides a meaningful CRIT DMG buff to the DPS on the field and significantly improves output in Stellar Swirl and Freeze teams.

C4 — Melancholic Voice Upon the Gentle Waters

Vodyanitsa triggers different effects when her healing lands, based on the healed character’s current HP. If the character has 40% HP or above, Vodyanitsa’s own Max HP is increased by 20% for 6 seconds, stacking up to 3 times. If the character is below 40% HP, her healing is boosted by 50% instead. The high-HP stack effect feeds back into all her HP-based scaling, but the HP threshold and stack timing make this less reliable and impactful compared to C1 and C2.

C6 — Neverending Song of Revelry

The CRIT DMG buff from C2 is extended to affect all nearby party members instead of just the active character. Additionally, the bonus to Stellar Swirl damage from her stacks increases by 30%, and her Hydro and Cryo damage bonuses increase by 60%. This is the biggest single jump in team output of all her constellations and the logical second target after C2 for players who want to fully invest in Vodyanitsa.

    Are Vodyanitsa’s Constellations Worth It?

Vodyanitsa at C0 already gives you her complete support package — healing, interruption resistance, RES shred for three elements, and HP-based flat damage bonuses. Constellations are entirely optional. If you do pull extra copies, C2 is the priority for the 50% Hydro and Cryo CRIT DMG buff, and C6 is the next target if you want to go all in. C1 adds steady value through the rotation. C3 and C5 provide minor gains. C4 is situational and not a strong reason to pull.

    Vodyanitsa Ascension Materials

To fully ascend Vodyanitsa to Level 90 you will need:

    • Varunada Lazurite Sliver x1
    • Varunada Lazurite Fragment x9
    • Varunada Lazurite Chunk x9
    • Varunada Lazurite Gemstone x6
    • Frostfairy Flower x168 — Snezhnaya local specialty, found around Snezhnograd and White Birch Snowgrave
    • Unscorched Blossom Branch x46 — dropped by the Immortal Construct boss
    • Chimeric Core x18 — dropped by Aberrant Chimeric Monsters in Snezhnaya
    • Symbiotic Chimeric Nucleus x30 — dropped by stronger Chimeric Monsters
    • Prime Chimeric Nexus x36 — dropped by elite Chimeric Monsters
    • Mora x420,000

    Vodyanitsa Talent Materials

To level all three of Vodyanitsa’s talents to Level 10, you will need:

    • Teachings of Fortitude x9
    • Guide to Fortitude x63
    • Philosophies of Fortitude x114
    • Symbiotic Chimeric Nucleus x66
    • Prime Chimeric Nexus x93
    • Madman’s Restraint x18 — weekly boss drop
    • Crown of Insight x3 — to push talents to Level 13 via constellations

Prioritize leveling her Elemental Skill first. That is where her healing, RES shred, and flat damage bonuses all live. Her Burst is optional and her Normal Attack can be skipped entirely.

    Vodyanitsa’s Role in the Meta

Vodyanitsa fills a unique support slot in Genshin Impact Version 7.1. She is one of the few characters who can reduce three different elemental resistances at once — Hydro, Cryo, and Anemo — making her exceptionally strong in teams that deal those types of damage. She does all of this while healing the active character off-field, which means she takes almost no rotation time herself.

Her primary home is in Vesna’s Stellar Swirl teams, where she applies Hydro for Stellar Swirl reactions, keeps the active DPS healed, and shreds all the relevant elemental resistances through her Skill and Anemo RES passive. She is also excellent in Skirk Freeze teams alongside Furina and Escoffier, where she provides consistent off-field Hydro for Freeze uptime and stacks Furina’s Fanfare through her frequent healing ticks.

She is strong enough to be useful in conventional Cryo or Hydro DPS teams as well, thanks to her straightforward HP scaling and minimal build complexity. Any team that wants both healing and resistance reduction in a single slot will find her easy to use and hard to replace.
