How Rings Work in Crimson Desert

Rings are accessories that equip into two dedicated finger slots on your character. Unlike earrings — which focus on defence, movement speed, and health regen — rings push offensive stats: primarily Attack, Attack Speed, and Stamina Regeneration.

You can equip two rings simultaneously, and swapping them outside of combat is free. This means you can keep different rings in your inventory and switch depending on the encounter — for example, using the Ring of Lightning specifically when it is raining, and swapping back to your primary rings otherwise.

Most rings can be refined at a Blacksmith using Fleece and Azurite to improve their stats. Stamina Regeneration bonuses typically unlock at +3 refinement, and Attack Speed or Attack values reach their maximums at higher refinement tiers. The Ring of Lightning is a notable exception — it cannot be refined at all.

Best Rings in Crimson Desert — Ranked

1. Witch’s Ring — Best Overall

The Witch’s Ring is the best all-round ring in Crimson Desert for most builds. At max refinement it provides +3 Attack, +4 Attack Speed, and +8% Stamina Regeneration. The +4 Attack Speed is the highest of any ring in the game, making it exceptional for fast-hitting builds — especially dual-wield and sword builds where chaining attacks quickly matters most.

Refining it to +3 unlocks the Stamina Regen bonus, which helps sustain long combo chains without running out of stamina mid-fight.

Where to get it: The Witch’s Ring is a story reward from the Thinning Blade quest in Chapter 9. It drops from defeating Goyen during that quest. To get there, you need to move two sets of mirrors at the base of the Spire of the Sun to unlock the tower, climb to the top until you reach an Abyss Gate, then complete the encounter inside. 2. Mark of Darkness — Best Ring Before Chapter 9

The Mark of Darkness matches the Witch’s Ring on attack speed at max refinement: +3 Attack, +4 Attack Speed, and +8% Stamina Regeneration from +3 onwards. The stats are identical in practice, which makes the Mark of Darkness the top priority for players who have not yet reached Chapter 9.

It is the go-to ring for dual-wield and fast attack builds throughout the mid-game, and remains a strong second ring in endgame setups when paired with a damage-focused option like the Tigerfang Ring.

Where to get it: Found inside a strongbox at Windmere Manor, located just north of the town of Demeniss in northern Demeniss. To get in, go around the left side of the main entrance and head to the back of the manor. Find the two windows on the left side and enter through the left window, then go through the door on the right. Follow the hallway left and enter the next room. 3. Tigerfang Ring — Best Raw Damage Ring

If you want the highest flat Attack value from a ring, the Tigerfang Ring is your answer. At max refinement it provides +7 Attack and +8% Stamina Regeneration from +3 onwards. The +7 Attack is the joint-highest in the game (tied with White Horn’s Ring) and applies to all of your attacks regardless of weapon type.

The trade-off is that the Tigerfang gives up the +4 Attack Speed that the Witch’s Ring and Mark of Darkness offer. This makes it better for heavy weapon builds — two-handed weapons, greatswords, axes — where individual hits deal large amounts of damage and raw attack power matters more than hit speed. It pairs perfectly with the Witch’s Ring or Mark of Darkness to cover both damage and speed simultaneously.

Where to get it: The Tigerfang Ring is a skin drop from the White Tiger, a legendary animal found at Serpenthead Valley in the southern part of the Crimson Desert region — east of the Drywind Valley and deep in the jungle. Before you can hunt the White Tiger, you need to liberate Serpenthead Valley from the Wolf Tracker faction first. Once the area is free, hunt the White Tiger, then skin the corpse to receive the Tigerfang Ring and a few crafting materials. 4. White Horn’s Ring — Joint Highest Damage Ring

The White Horn’s Ring shares the same stat profile as the Tigerfang Ring at max refinement: +7 Attack and +8% Stamina Regeneration at +3. If you already have the Tigerfang Ring and want to double up on raw attack power, running both in tandem gives you a significantly boosted damage output without sacrificing stamina recovery.

Like the Tigerfang, it suits heavy weapon builds more than fast-hitting builds. Consider this as a damage-maximising second ring when your build already has enough attack speed from skills or weapon type.

Where to get it: Found inside a strongbox at Delesyia Castle. Head to Delesyia Castle and locate the strongbox room on your way through. Delesyia Castle is visited naturally during the main story in the later chapters, so you will pass through the area as part of progression.

5. Ring of Lightning — Best Situational Ring

The Ring of Lightning is unlike every other ring in the game. It does not provide a passive stat bonus beyond +4 Attack — instead, it has an active ability called Charge Lightning. After standing in rain for two minutes, the ring fully charges and lets you call down a large lightning bolt that deals heavy electrical damage in a circle around you. The effect can one-shot staggered enemies including late-game golems.

The caveat is that the Ring of Lightning cannot be refined, meaning the +4 Attack stays fixed while other rings grow stronger. It is best treated as a swap-in ring for rainy conditions rather than a permanent equip. Keep your primary ring on by default, then switch to the Ring of Lightning when rain starts and you want to trigger the lightning strike. Where to get it: Found inside a hidden strongbox at Whisperleaf Fortress, located in the Pailune region west of Silver Wolf Mountains. Here are the steps:

1. Travel to Whisperleaf Fortress. Use Nature’s Grasp to lift the large gate at the entrance and go inside
2. Head to the southwest corner of the fortress on the ground level
3. Behind a tent, find a large lone stone gravestone
4. Use Force Palm on the gravestone — it will flip up and reveal a hidden trapdoor underneath
5. Drop down and interact with the strongbox at the bottom
6. Solve the rune puzzle by pressing the buttons in this order: top-left, bottom-left, top-right
7. The strongbox opens and the Ring of Lightning is inside

6. Hernandian Signet — Best Early Game Ring

The Hernandian Signet is the best ring available early in the game because it requires no combat, no puzzles, and no story progression beyond reaching Hernand Castle.
