In combat, Collei is an off-field Dendro enabler. Her job is to apply Dendro consistently so your main DPS can trigger powerful reactions like Quicken, Bloom, Hyperbloom, or Burgeon. She takes very little field time — swap in, use Skill, use Burst, swap out — and the whole team benefits from her Dendro application in the background.
She is one of the most accessible Dendro characters in the game. She has been offered as a free character through in-game events, is available on the standard banner, and her best weapon is a free reward from the first Archon Quest. Collei Abilities and Skills
Normal Attack – Supplicant’s Bowmanship
Collei performs up to four consecutive shots with her Bow. Her Charged Attack is a precise Aimed Shot that charges up to deal Dendro DMG. Her Plunge Attack fires a shower of arrows mid-air and deals AoE DMG on landing. Normal Attacks are rarely used in her support role and are the lowest talent priority by far.
Elemental Skill – Floral Brush
Collei throws a Floral Ring — a boomerang-like projectile — in the direction she is facing. The ring deals Dendro DMG to every enemy it passes through on the way out, then returns to Collei and deals Dendro DMG again on the way back.
This double-hit means the Skill applies Dendro twice on enemies in its path, which is strong for triggering and maintaining reactions. However, the Floral Ring has no homing capability — it travels in a straight line and will miss enemies that move out of its path.
After unlocking her 1st Ascension Passive, the returning Floral Ring can also trigger a Sprout effect on its return, dealing additional Dendro DMG if a Dendro reaction was triggered before it came back.
Elemental Burst – Trump-Card Kitty
Collei throws her doll, Cuilein-Anbar, which explodes on landing and deals AoE Dendro DMG. It then creates a Cuilein-Anbar Zone that bounces around the area for 6 seconds, dealing periodic Dendro DMG to all enemies inside it.
The Zone’s duration can be extended by up to 3 extra seconds (for a maximum of 9 seconds) when a character inside it triggers Burning, Quicken, Aggravate, Spread, Bloom, Hyperbloom, or Burgeon reactions. In a proper Dendro reaction team, her Burst almost always reaches its maximum 9-second duration.
Always use her Skill before her Burst in rotation. The Skill generates Dendro particles during and after the Burst animation, effectively recharging her Energy while Cuilein-Anbar is already active.
Passive Talents
- Floral Sidewinder (1st Ascension Passive): If any Burning, Quicken, Aggravate, Spread, Bloom, Hyperbloom, or Burgeon reaction is triggered before the Floral Ring returns, the returning ring applies the Sprout effect to whoever it hits, dealing Dendro DMG equal to 40% of Collei’s ATK to nearby opponents for 3 seconds. This is a nice bonus hit of Dendro that comes for free in any reaction team — you barely need to think about it, it just happens.
- The Languid Wood (4th Ascension Passive): After the Burst is used, a Cuilein-Anbar Ring appears around the active character and deals Dendro DMG to nearby enemies every 2 seconds for up to 6 seconds. This is an additional source of off-field Dendro application that stacks with Cuilein-Anbar Zone, giving Collei much better Dendro coverage than her Burst alone would suggest.
- Utility Passive: Decreases gliding Stamina consumption for all party members by 20%. A useful exploration bonus — does not stack with other characters that have the same passive.
Collei Constellations
Collei’s Constellations are mostly quality-of-life improvements rather than massive damage upgrades. They make her easier to use and slightly more supportive.
- C1 – Deepwood Patrol: While off the field, Collei’s Energy Recharge increases by 20%. This is a significant and completely free upgrade — since Collei spends most of her time off-field anyway, she almost always benefits from this. It substantially reduces how much ER you need to stack on her artifacts.
- C2 – Through Hill and Copse: Changes the Sprout effect from the 1st Ascension Passive. At C2, the Floral Ring always applies Sprout upon its return, regardless of whether a Dendro reaction was triggered. The Sprout also deals 40% of Collei’s ATK as Dendro DMG to nearby opponents for 3 seconds. This guarantees the extra Dendro hit every Skill use instead of requiring a reaction condition.
- C3 – Scent of Summer: Increases the level of Floral Brush (Elemental Skill) by 3, up to a maximum of Level 15. Boosts the Floral Ring’s Dendro DMG directly.
- C4 – Gift of the Woods: After Collei’s Burst deals its initial hit, all nearby party members (except Collei herself) gain 60 Elemental Mastery for 12 seconds. Best Premium Weapon – Elegy for the End
Elegy for the End is a 5-star bow with Energy Recharge as its substat — exactly what Collei needs. Its passive generates Sigils of Remembrance when she hits enemies with her Skill or Burst. Once four Sigils are collected, the team gains 100 Elemental Mastery and 20% ATK for 20 seconds. This team-wide EM buff pairs perfectly with Collei’s C4 EM buff and makes the whole team hit harder on Dendro reactions. A top-tier support weapon for her.
Best F2P Weapon – Favonius Warbow
This is the best free option for Collei and is obtained by completing the first chapter of the Archon Quest. It provides Energy Recharge as a substat, and its passive generates 6 Energy particles for the character on a CRIT hit. This solves Collei’s biggest problem — keeping her Burst charged — and also helps the rest of the team charge their own Bursts faster. Since the passive requires CRIT Rate to proc, make sure to stack some CRIT Rate in her artifact substats.
Other Good Options
- Sacrificial Bow: Resets Collei’s Elemental Skill cooldown on a CRIT hit, giving her an extra Floral Ring throw per rotation. More Skill uses mean more Dendro application and more particle generation. A strong alternative if you want more consistent Dendro coverage.
- The Stringless: A 4-star bow that increases Elemental Skill and Burst DMG by 24–48% depending on refinement. Good for a more damage-focused Collei, especially in Quicken teams where her personal Dendro hits contribute to Spread reactions.
- Prototype Crescent: A craftable bow with ATK% substat. If you hit a weak point with a Charged Shot, it gives a movement speed and ATK boost. Not ideal for Collei’s off-field role but a workable early-game option.
- End of the Line: A craftable 4-star bow with Energy Recharge as a substat. A solid budget option for reaching ER thresholds before you have better choices.

Best Support Build – Deepwood Memories (4-Piece)
This is Collei’s most important and commonly used artifact set. The 4-piece bonus decreases enemies’ Dendro Resistance by 30% for 8 seconds when the wearer hits an enemy with their Skill or Burst. Since Collei hits enemies with both her Skill and Burst every rotation, the Dendro RES shred has near-permanent uptime. This makes all of your team’s Dendro-related damage — including reaction damage — significantly stronger. If no other teammate is wearing Deepwood, Collei should always run this set.
Best Sub-DPS Build – Gilded Dreams (4-Piece)
Use this set only if another teammate is already holding Deepwood Memories. Gilded Dreams gives 80 EM and either more EM or ATK% based on party composition. Combined with high EM on artifact stats, this turns Collei into a stronger Dendro reaction trigger herself. The 2-piece bonus also gives 80 EM, which is great for any reaction build.
Alternative – 2-Piece Deepwood + 2-Piece Emblem of Severed Fate
A flexible middle-ground option. You get the 15% Dendro DMG bonus from the 2-piece Deepwood and the 20% Energy Recharge from the 2-piece Emblem. This helps with ER while still boosting Collei’s personal Dendro damage output. A good starting point while farming for a full 4-piece set.

Collei Tips and Rotation
Collei’s rotation is straightforward but the order matters:
- Always use Elemental Skill before Elemental Burst. The Skill generates particles during the Burst animation, refilling Energy while Cuilein-Anbar is already dealing damage.
- Use Collei’s abilities before your main on-field DPS enters the fight. Cuilein-Anbar’s Zone needs to be active when reactions are being triggered to extend its duration.
- In Quicken and Aggravate teams, make sure Collei’s Burst Zone overlaps with the area where your main DPS is fighting so reaction extension triggers properly.
- If you are running Favonius Warbow, build enough CRIT Rate (at least 40–50%) to reliably proc its particle generation passive.
Is Collei Worth Building?
Collei is absolutely worth building, especially for players who do not have Nahida or Alhaitham. She is the most accessible Dendro support in the game and her job — applying off-field Dendro for reactions — is something every Dendro team needs.
She requires minimal investment to function. A free Favonius Warbow, a 4-piece Deepwood Memories set with decent Energy Recharge, and Level 6 Burst talent is enough for most content. She will not match the coverage and damage of top-tier 5-star Dendro characters, but as a budget enabler for Bloom, Hyperbloom, Quicken, and Burgeon teams, she does the job reliably.
