The Sigrid bounty is one of the most commonly searched in Crimson Desert — not because she’s a tough fight, but because the quest marker sends you to a spot where nothing seems to exist. The marker points underground. The surface is just open terrain. Most players spend several minutes circling the area before giving up or searching online.
The fix is simple once you know it: Sigrid is hiding inside a cave just west of her map marker, and the cave entrance is concealed enough that it’s very easy to walk straight past it. This guide gives you the exact location, a step-by-step walkthrough, and every tip you need to complete the bounty cleanly.
How to Unlock the Sigrid Bounty
Like every bounty in Pailune, Sigrid’s quest is gated behind story progress. You must complete Chapter 7 of the main story — specifically the arc that liberates Pailune from the Black Bears and Lonely Jackals. Until that liberation is complete, the bounty system in the region won’t function reliably, and targets may not spawn.
Once Pailune is liberated, outlaw notices start appearing around the city on wooden poles, walls, billboards, and message boards. Sigrid’s wanted poster can be found near the farm area in the City of Pailune.
When you find it, interact with it and read it on the spot (or read it from your inventory afterward). Reading the notice officially starts the side quest, adds it to your journal, and gives you knowledge about Sigrid: her last known location, her crime (arson), a physical description, and the reward amount.
If Sigrid’s notice hasn’t appeared yet, complete a few other Pailune bounties first — Sienna, Ivar, and others in the region — and it will show up as you work through the list.
Before You Go — Recommended Prep
Clear Trovak Camp first. The route to Sigrid passes through territory where Black Bear enemies are active. Completing the Lord of the Forgotten Castle Faction Quest, which liberates Trovak Camp, removes these enemies from the area and makes your trip to the cave and back significantly cleaner. Trovak Camp also contains a sealed Abyss Artifact worth grabbing while you’re there.
Activate the nearby Abyss Nexus. There is an Abyss Nexus fast travel point near Sage’s Peak, close to Sigrid’s marker. Activate it before heading into the cave — if Sigrid doesn’t spawn and you need to wait and return, you can fast travel straight back without riding the full distance again.
Bring your lamp. Wolf’s Molar Cave is dark enough that navigating without light makes it harder to spot Sigrid and the ore veins inside.
Sigrid’s Exact Location — Wolf’s Molar Cave
After accepting the bounty, open your map. The quest marker places Sigrid southwest of the City of Pailune, directly west of Sage’s Peak and the nearby Abyss Nexus. Set your tracker and head there.
When you arrive at the marked location, nothing will be on the surface. This is normal. The marker is pointing downward because Sigrid is underground.
To find the cave entrance:
From the centre of the quest marker, walk directly west toward the rocky hillside. Cross the road. The entrance to Wolf’s Molar Cave is at the base of Sage’s Peak — a narrow, dark opening in the rock face that is partially hidden behind thick ivy. It’s easy to miss at a glance because the ivy covers most of the opening. Look for the gap in the vegetation at ground level and push through.
Light your lamp as you enter.
How to Capture Sigrid
Inside Wolf’s Molar Cave, follow the passage to the back. Sigrid is there — either lying on the ground unconscious or standing up depending on the time of day and your playthrough timing.
If she’s unconscious: Sheathe your weapon, walk up to her, and use the carry prompt to pick her up. No fight required.
If she’s standing: She’ll try to run the moment she spots you. Tackle her by pressing R on PC or LB / L1 on controller. After tackling, hit her a few times until she’s subdued, then tie her up and carry her out.
Before you pick her up — mine the Scolecite Ore. Wolf’s Molar Cave contains veins of Scolecite Ore, a rare crafting material used for high-level weapon refinement. You cannot mine while carrying a body, so clear every ore vein in the cave first. It only takes a moment and saves you a return trip later.
The Explosive Mushroom Warning
This is the step that catches people off guard and causes mission failure.
Explosive mushrooms grow directly beside the cave exit. When you’re carrying Sigrid out, if you move too quickly or brush the mushrooms, they detonate. Sigrid caught in the blast dies instantly — the mission fails and the game forces a reload to the last checkpoint.
Walk slowly through the exit area. Take your time navigating around the mushrooms before you’re back in the open. Once you’re clear of the cave entrance, you’re safe to move at normal speed.
Delivering Sigrid to the Pailune Constabulary
Once outside the cave with Sigrid on your shoulders, call your horse and use the Load command to place her on the back. The Pailune Constabulary is approximately 2,500 metres from the cave — a meaningful distance. Stick to the main roads where you can gallop at full speed.
One of the easier bounty deliveries in the game — Sigrid is unconscious the entire ride back, so there’s no struggling target or dialogue to manage. Ride in, hand her to the guards at the Constabulary, and the quest completes.
If Trovak Camp isn’t cleared and Black Bears attack you during the ride: use your horse as a buffer between you and the bear, keep moving rather than stopping to fight, and prioritise getting to the Constabulary over engaging enemies. Dropping Sigrid to fight resets your progress for the carry leg of the trip.

Sigrid Not Spawning — Fix
If you reach the cave and Sigrid isn’t inside, she’s on a respawn timer. Don’t wait around — leave the area, do other quests or activities, and return after 6 to 12 real-time hours. The Abyss Nexus near Sage’s Peak makes returning fast. She will spawn on the next visit.
This is a known quirk with Pailune bounty targets, not a bug specific to Sigrid.
