How to Complete the Forcible Disconnect Triumph

    TL;DR

    • The Forcible Disconnect Triumph requires you to defeat three Assimilated Demolisher mini-bosses on Nessus.
    • You spawn them yourself by activating a Vex conflux beacon near Watcher’s Grave.
    • You have five minutes to kill all three — they are very tanky, so come prepared.
    • Kill order: Wyvern first, then Minotaur, then Hydra.
    • This is a public instance, so other Guardians in the area can help you.
    • Completing it rewards 20 Legendary Marks.

What Is the Forcible Disconnect Triumph in Destiny 2?

The Forcible Disconnect Triumph is part of the Monument of Triumph update in Destiny 2. It asks you to defeat a group of enemies called the Assimilated Demolishers on Nessus. These are Vex-type mini-bosses, and the tricky part is that the game does not tell you how to make them appear. You have to summon them yourself.

Once you know where to go and what to activate, the whole thing takes just a few minutes. It is one of the more straightforward Triumphs in the Monument of Triumph checklist, and completing it gives you 20 Legendary Marks toward your progress.

How to Complete the Forcible Disconnect Triumph

How to Complete the Forcible Disconnect Triumph

Step 1 – Travel to Watcher’s Grave on Nessus

Open your map and fast travel to the Watcher’s Grave landing zone on Nessus. This is the starting point for the whole encounter. From here, you are only a short walk from the beacon you need to activate.

Step 2 – Find the Vex Conflux Beacon

From the Watcher’s Grave spawn point, move forward and then head right. You are looking for the large Cabal land tank that was added to the area. Keep going along the right side of the zone toward that structure.

Just beyond some Cabal machinery, you will spot a white Vex conflux — also described as a Vex energy spire. It glows and stands out clearly from the surrounding Cabal architecture. This is the Assimilated Demolisher Beacon.

Step 3 – Activate the Beacon

Walk up to the conflux and interact with it using the button prompt. After a few seconds, three powerful Assimilated Demolisher mini-bosses will spawn nearby. The moment they appear, your five-minute timer begins. You need to kill all three before time runs out.

Step 4 – Defeat All Three Assimilated Demolishers

These enemies are extremely tanky, so you need solid damage output. The recommended kill order is:

    • Wyvern first — it is the most aggressive and will pressure you the hardest
    • Minotaur second — moderate threat once the Wyvern is down
    • Hydra last — slower and easier to deal with once the others are gone

Focus one target at a time. Splitting damage between all three is a fast way to run out of time before any of them die.

This encounter runs in a public patrol instance, which means other Guardians roaming Nessus can see the bosses and help you kill them. If you are struggling solo, either ask in chat or wait a moment — someone may wander in. Even one extra Guardian makes the fight significantly more manageable.

Step 5 – Claim Your Triumph

Once the last Assimilated Demolisher falls, the Forcible Disconnect Triumph pops immediately. Head into your Triumphs screen to claim your 20 Legendary Marks. Note that there is no loot chest or weapon drop from this encounter — the Triumph completion and the Marks are the reward.

What If You Fail the Timer?

If the five minutes expire before all three bosses are down, the encounter ends and the bosses despawn. You will need to wait for the conflux beacon to recharge before you can activate it and try again. Use the downtime wisely — there are several other Triumph-related collectibles nearby on Nessus you can work on while you wait.

Tips for Completing Forcible Disconnect Solo

Going in alone is possible, but you need to be prepared. Here are some things that will help:

    • Use a high-damage loadout. These bosses have a lot of health. Bring your best damage weapons. Check our best PvE weapons tier list for solid options.
    • Bring a damage Super. A well-timed Super ability can shred through one boss quickly and buy you time for the others.
    • Use your Heavy weapon for boss damage. Linear Fusion Rifles, Rocket Launchers, and Machine Guns all perform well against mini-bosses like these.
    • Stay mobile. The Wyvern in particular is aggressive. Do not stand still or let it corner you.
    • Arc builds work well here. If you are running Arc, something like the Whatchamacallit SMG can help with add pressure while your Heavy handles boss chunks.
    • Power level matters. Make sure you are at a reasonable power level before attempting this. If you need to raise yours, our power level guide covers the fastest methods.

Is the Forcible Disconnect Triumph Part of Any Title?

Yes. The Forcible Disconnect Triumph is part of the broader Immortal title grind within Monument of Triumph. If you are working toward completing the full Triumph list for that title, this is one of the easier ones to knock off once you know the beacon location. Many players get held up simply because the game does not point you to the conflux — now you know exactly where it is.

Other quick Triumphs worth completing on Nessus while you are already there:

    • Collect Strange Leftovers near Xur’s old spot on the large tree nearby for the Pieces of the Whole Triumph.
    • Defeat enemies with Vex Craniums inside The Ancients’ Haunt Lost Sector for the Have You Lost Your Mind Triumph.

These can all be done in one patrol session to save time.
