Destiny 2 Legendary Marks are the primary currency added in Monument of Triumph in 2026. You earn them by completing Triumphs and spend them at four Tenet vendors in the Tower Courtyard for Exotic weapons, armor ornaments, shaders, and event weapon engrams. They can’t be bought with real money. This guide covers every source, the fastest farming order, and how to spend them without wasting early progress.

What Are Legendary Marks in Destiny 2
Legendary Marks are a currency returned to Destiny 2 with the Monument of Triumph update on June 9, 2026. They are earned through gameplay, not purchased. Silver, Bright Dust, and Chronologs are separate currencies. Marks are their own track.
You earn them by completing Triumphs in the Monument of Triumph tab — 204 challenges spanning nine years of Destiny 2 content across raids, dungeons, destinations, PvP, Gambit, Distortions, and Tower secrets. Every completed Triumph gives 15 or more Marks when claimed.
They’re permanent. No weekly cap. No expiry. No FOMO. You can farm Marks at whatever pace works for you, and everything at the Tenet vendors stays available indefinitely.
How to Get Your Free 50 Legendary Marks at Login
Every Guardian who logs in after Monument of Triumph launches receives 50 free Legendary Marks, 2 Bright Engrams, and the Toast to the Monument emblem automatically.
To collect them, go to the Tower and find the Special Deliveries kiosk — it’s located between Banshee-44 and Rahool, near the back wall of the Courtyard. Interact with it to claim your 50 Marks. Do this before spending any time on Triumphs. It costs nothing and takes ten seconds.
How to Access Monument of Triumph Triumphs
Select your character screen. Navigate to the Journey tab. Select Triumphs. Find the Monument of Triumph section at the top. This is where all 204 Legendary Mark Triumphs live.
You can track individual Triumphs by pressing X on PlayStation or A on Xbox. They’ll show on your HUD as active objectives. Complete them in any order — there’s no forced sequence.
Before starting, interact with the Monument of Triumph arch in the Tower Courtyard and complete the short onramp quest. Some Triumph categories require this step to register correctly.
Fastest Legendary Marks — Triumph Categories Ranked by Effort
Tier 1: Tower Triumphs — Under 5 Minutes Each
Tower Triumphs are the fastest Legendary Marks in the game. They require no combat, no fireteam, and most take under five minutes each. Start here every session before doing anything else.
- Can You Pet the Dog — pet Archie in the Tower Bazaar next to Lodi. 10 Marks. Under two minutes. See our Destiny 2 Archie location guide.

Tier 2: Scenic Spot Triumphs — Zero Combat
Scenic Spot Triumphs require visiting specific viewpoints across 10 patrol destinations. No enemies to kill. No timers. Just travel to the marked area and interact. Each one gives 10 Marks.
The 10 destinations with Scenic Spot Triumphs are: Cosmodrome, Dreaming City, EDZ, Eternity, Europa, Moon, Nessus, Neomuna, Pale Heart, and Throne World. That’s up to 100 free Legendary Marks for visiting ten places on the map.
Do these immediately after Tower Triumphs. They stack well with patrol Triumphs in the same destination — land, hit the scenic spot, then knock out patrol objectives in the same zone before moving on.
Tier 3: Destination and Patrol Triumphs — Low Effort
Each destination has a set of patrol Triumphs covering lost sectors, public events, patrol bounties, and story interactions. These are the next fastest because they complete naturally while you explore. Cluster them by location — land on one destination and complete every patrol Triumph there before moving to the next.
The Moon is particularly efficient. Running Moon patrol Triumphs overlaps with Distortion farming if the Moon is the active Distortion destination, the Oblation unlock steps for Cull’s Shadow, and Scenic Spot collection — all in one landing.
Tier 4: Story and Campaign Triumphs — Easy but Solo
Campaign and story mission Triumphs give solid Marks for playing through missions you may not have touched in years. Most require no specific difficulty or modifiers. If you’re a returning player with gaps in your campaign completion, these represent a large pool of unclaimed Marks waiting for you.
Tier 5: Playlist Triumphs — Repeatable
Strikes, Crucible, Gambit, and Fireteam Ops Triumphs cover playlist completions, specific kill types, win conditions, and class/subclass challenges. These take longer per Triumph but there are dozens of them. They’re the sustained farming source once your quick Triumphs are done.
Strikes and Battlegrounds under the Teamwork tab are the easiest playlist Triumphs. They’re linear, matchmade, and most complete just from playing normally. Crucible Triumphs take longer if your PvP is inconsistent but offer good Marks per completion if you’re comfortable there.
Tier 6: Raid and Dungeon Triumphs — High Effort, High Return
Raid and dungeon Triumphs are the hardest to complete but have a large pool. Challenge Triumphs within raids (required for the Einherjar Coronet) give strong Marks alongside their unlock value. Pantheon 2.0 is the fastest raid-tier farm if you have a competent fireteam — rotating bosses mean multiple Triumph opportunities per session.
Save raids for last unless you’re already running them for other reasons.
How to Unlock All Four Tenet Vendors
All four Tenet vendors — Bravery, Devotion, Sacrifice, and Death — are in the Tower Courtyard behind the Monument of Triumph arch. When you first arrive, only the Tenet of Bravery is interactive.
To unlock the other three, you must make any purchase at the Tenet of Bravery first. The cheapest option is a 2-Mark event weapon engram. Buy one of those, and all four vendors open immediately. Don’t spend 50 Marks on the first ornament you see just to complete this unlock step.
What to Spend Legendary Marks On
The four Tenet vendors stock different rewards. Here’s what each carries and what to prioritize:
- Tenet of Bravery: Fafnir Exotic Linear Fusion Rifle, Heir Apparent Exotic Machine Gun, event weapon engrams (Dawning, Festival, Guardian Games, Solstice — 2 Marks each, infinite), general emblems, new Skimmer.
- Tenet of Devotion: Armor ornament sets, SRL-themed emotes, accessories.
- Tenet of Sacrifice: Armor ornament sets, shaders, cosmetics.
- Tenet of Death: Chatterwhite shader, Superblack shader, Immortal Legend Armor Ornament Set, armor ornament sets.
Event weapon engrams at 2 Marks each are the most efficient repeatable spend. Use attunement before pulling — set it to your preferred weapon type in your inventory and it increases the chance of that archetype dropping.
What NOT to Spend Legendary Marks On Early
Several high-value rewards require both Marks and a Triumph completion prerequisite. Spending Marks on them before you meet the unlock condition doesn’t help — they won’t appear as purchasable until the unlock is done.
- Chatterwhite shader — requires completing Hawthorne’s weekly Vault of Glass Deepsight quest first. Cost is 25 Marks at Tenet of Death. Don’t budget for it until you’ve run Vault of Glass.
- Einherjar Coronet ornament — requires completing eight Triumphs in the Teamwork: Raid Challenges category. Do the raid challenges first, then buy.
- Immortal Legend Armor Ornament Set — requires earning the Immortal title. The set can’t be purchased without the title.
Check all prerequisites before allocating Marks to a target reward. The Tenet vendor screens show the unlock requirements directly — read them before committing your budget.
Legendary Marks vs. Chronologs — What’s the Difference
Players sometimes confuse Legendary Marks and Chronologs. They’re different currencies with different sources and uses.
- Legendary Marks — earned from Monument of Triumph Triumphs. Spent at Tenet vendors for cosmetics, Exotics, and event weapon engrams.
- Chronologs — earned from the Triumphant Rewards Pass and Seasonal Hub weekly objectives. Spent at the Monument to Seasons Past for old season pass rewards and Eververse Engrams.

Legendary Marks Farming Tips
Claim your 50 free Marks at login first. Special Deliveries kiosk, between Banshee-44 and Rahool. Always do this before anything else.
Cluster Triumphs by location. Land on one destination and complete every patrol, scenic spot, and story Triumph there before moving. Switching destinations constantly wastes time. The Moon is the highest-density single destination for Triumph stacking in 2026.
Tower Triumphs are always worth doing. Archie, the net goal, Floor is Lava, and the giant ball together take under 20 minutes and give 40 combined Marks. Do them every time you’re in the Tower doing other things.
Make one cheap Tenet of Bravery purchase immediately. A 2-Mark event engram unlocks all four vendors. Do it at the start of your session — don’t waste time with only one vendor available.
Check prerequisites before targeting a reward. Chatterwhite, Einherjar Coronet, and the Immortal Legend set all need specific Triumphs completed before they’re purchasable. Don’t save Marks for them without first confirming you’ve met the unlock condition.
Run Distortions for bonus Triumph progress. Active Distortion destinations have Triumph-eligible encounters and higher-tier loot on top of the standard patrol Triumph chain.
