    • Final Fantasy Resonance has exactly 33 sub quests (also called side quests) spread across Chapters 1 through 7.
    • Chapter 5 has the most sub quests — 13 in total.
    • None of these quests are missable. You can complete them in any order, even after the story moves on.
    • Eight of these quests are character-specific substories that reward permanent stat boosts for your party members.
    • Rewards range from Gil and Magicite Shards to full Vision characters and rare accessories.

If you’ve been wondering whether you missed a side quest in Final Fantasy Resonance, here’s the good news — you haven’t. All 33 sub quests stay open throughout the game. There are three brief story segments that lock you in temporarily (points of no return), but once you’re through them, every quest is still waiting for you.

This guide lists every sub quest in the game, sorted by the chapter it first becomes available, along with its location and reward. Whether you’re a completionist going for every trophy or just looking for extra Gil and gear, this is your full checklist.

What Are Sub Quests in Final Fantasy Resonance?

Sub quests are optional missions you take on outside the main story. They give you bonus equipment, Magicite, Gil, and in some cases entire Vision characters that you can’t get any other way.

You pick them up by talking to specific NPCs or interacting with notice boards in towns. Once accepted, they appear in your quest log under the Sub Quest tab. The game tracks your progress automatically, so you always know where to go next.

Eight of these quests are called character substories. Each one is tied to a specific party member — Rain, Lasswell, Fina, Lid, Nichol, Jake, Sakura, and Dark Fina. Completing all eight earns you the Conscience Renewed trophy and gives each character a permanent attribute bonus.

Tips for Completing All Sub Quests in Final Fantasy Resonance

    • You can’t miss any quest permanently. Even if the story moves to the next chapter, all sub quests stay active. Come back whenever you’re ready.
    • Do character substories as soon as they appear. The stat bonuses they give are permanent and compound — getting them early makes the rest of the game easier.
    • The Mechabo chain spans three quests — Arise, Mechabo! → Mechabo Evolved → Mechabo Unleashed. You need to complete each one to unlock the next. Don’t skip them; Mechabo Unleashed teaches Overclock Zero, which is strong.
    • For Rogue Rebel, the password to give the merchant is Wild Rose. Don’t miss this one — it gives you the Rose Circlet, a solid early accessory.
    • Medicinal Mission has a mandatory boss fight with the Blood Dragon. Bring Fire skills. You can’t run from the encounter.
    • The Mog Tag quests are quick and stack. Do all three while you’re in Mysidia to save fast travel time.
    • “Reunion” requires two prior quests to be completed — Elven Maven and Lyrical Riddles — before it appears in Gaberada.
