TL;DR
- Lyleen is a Grass-type Pal, Lyleen Noct is a Dark-type variant. Both heal your entire party with their Partner Skills.
- Lyleen (Alpha) spawns at Sakurajima near the Secluded Cemetery at approximately -632, 302 — level 58–59, available day and night.
- Lyleen Noct spawns at the same Sakurajima location but only at night, standing beside a sleeping Lyleen.
- Both also appear in the World Tree region at levels 75–80 (southwest quadrant for Lyleen, same area for Lyleen Noct at night).
- Lyleen can be hatched from a Huge Verdant Egg. Lyleen Noct can be hatched from a Huge Dark Egg.
- As of Palworld 1.0, Lyleen can no longer be bred from other Pal species — you must catch it or hatch it. Two Lyleens bred together produce another Lyleen.
- Lyleen Noct can be bred: Lyleen + Menasting = Lyleen Noct.
- Lyleen is weak to Fire — bring Fire-type Pals to weaken it. Lyleen Noct is weak to Dragon.
- Lyleen is the best Planting Pal in the game (Planting Lv. 4, upgradeable to 7). Lyleen Noct is the stronger combat pick with better healing output.
Lyleen and Lyleen Noct in Palworld are two of the most sought-after Pals in the entire game. Lyleen is arguably the best base worker for farming and medicine production. Lyleen Noct brings higher combat stats and the strongest healing Partner Skill available to any Pal. This guide covers every way to get both in Palworld 1.0, including the location changes that came with the update.
Palworld 1.0 is available on Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation. Visit the official Pocketpair site for the latest updates.
What Are Lyleen and Lyleen Noct?
Lyleen (Paldeck #186) is a Grass-type Pal described as “a docile Pal full of love that watches over small Pals who have lost their parents.” Lyleen Noct is the Dark-type variant of the same Pal, nocturnal in nature and tuned more toward combat. Despite their similar appearance, the two fill very different roles — Lyleen is one of the best base workers in the game, while Lyleen Noct is the stronger battle companion.
Both share the same core appeal: a Partner Skill that heals your HP and your party Pals when activated, making either of them a strong survival tool for long exploration sessions, tower fights, and raid encounters.
Important Change in Palworld 1.0 — Breeding
Before reading the location sections, note this key change from the 1.0 update: Lyleen can no longer be bred from a combination of different Pal species. The previously popular combination of Mossanda and Petallia no longer produces Lyleen. As of version 1.0, Lyleen is flagged non-eligible in the standard breeding system. The only way to produce a Lyleen through breeding is to pair two Lyleens together. Every other path requires catching or hatching one first.
Lyleen Noct is the exception — it still has one valid cross-species breeding combination: Lyleen + Menasting = Lyleen Noct. This means your first Lyleen Noct must come from the wild or a Huge Dark Egg, but after that you can breed more using a Lyleen and a Menasting.
How to Get Lyleen in Palworld 1.0

Method 1 — Catch the Alpha Boss on Sakurajima (Easiest)
The fastest and most accessible way to get Lyleen is to catch the Empress of Lilies Alpha Boss on Sakurajima Island. She spawns at approximately coordinates -632, 302, near the Secluded Cemetery fast travel point. Head northeast from that waypoint to find her in a field of flowers. This Alpha Lyleen is level 58–59 and is available at any time of day — no need to wait for a specific hour.
Because Lyleen is a Grass-type, she is weak to Fire-element attacks. Bring a strong Fire-type Pal to wear her down efficiently without accidentally killing her. Good options include Jormuntide Ignis or Blazamut Ryu. Use high-tier Pal Spheres — Legendary or Ultra — once her HP is low. Catching the Alpha rather than killing it adds a strong Pal directly to your roster and the Alpha still respawns, so you can return for another if needed.
The Alpha also drops Ancient Civilization Parts and Precious Entrails as exclusive Alpha loot, on top of the standard drops. See our guide on how to get Ancient Civilization Parts for more on those materials.
Method 2 — Wild Spawns in the World Tree
Regular (non-Alpha) Lyleen also spawn as wild Pals in the southwestern quadrant of the World Tree region at levels 75–80. These are significantly higher-level encounters than the Sakurajima Alpha and require strong gear and Pals to handle safely. Time of day does not affect Lyleen spawns in the World Tree — they can appear both day and night. However, they are relatively rare compared to other Pals in the region, so be prepared to do several circuits before one appears.
To access the World Tree, you must first complete the Panthalus questline. Read our full guide on how to unlock the World Tree in Palworld.
Method 3 — Hatch a Huge Verdant Egg
Lyleen can be hatched from a Huge Verdant Egg. These eggs are found scattered across high-level regions, particularly on Sakurajima. Place the egg in an Egg Incubator and wait for it to hatch. Lyleen is one of several possible Pals from this egg type, so hatching is not guaranteed — it may take multiple eggs before you get one. The Electric Egg Incubator reduces hatch times significantly. For materials needed to build one, see our guide on Ancient Civilization Parts.
How to Get Lyleen Noct in Palworld 1.0

Method 1 — Catch at Night on Sakurajima (Easiest)
Lyleen Noct shares the same spawn location as Lyleen on Sakurajima — approximately -632, 302 near the Secluded Cemetery — but it only appears after sunset. If you arrive during the day, only Lyleen will be present. Return at night and you will find Lyleen Noct standing right beside a sleeping Lyleen, making it possible to attempt both captures in a single nighttime visit.
Lyleen Noct is a Dark-type Pal and is weak to Dragon-element attacks. Bring Dragon-type Pals like Chillet, Jormuntide, or a well-leveled Jetragon to deal extra damage and wear it down quickly. Use high-tier Pal Spheres when its HP is low. A Legendary Sphere is recommended for the best catch odds.
Method 2 — Wild Spawns in the World Tree
Lyleen Noct also spawns in the World Tree region alongside regular Lyleen, but only at nighttime. The southwestern area where Lyleen appears is the same zone to search at night for Lyleen Noct. Encounters here are levels 75–80, so come fully prepared with endgame gear and Pals.
Method 3 — Breed Using Lyleen + Menasting
Unlike Lyleen, Lyleen Noct retains one valid cross-species breeding combination in Palworld 1.0. Pair a male Lyleen and a female Menasting (or vice versa — make sure the genders are compatible for the combination) in a Breeding Farm and the resulting egg will hatch into a Lyleen Noct. This is the best method for producing multiple Lyleen Nocts once you have caught your first Lyleen and a Menasting.
For help with breeding setup, see our guide on how to breed Alpha Pals in Palworld.
Method 4 — Hatch a Huge Dark Egg
Lyleen Noct can also be hatched from a Huge Dark Egg. Like the Huge Verdant Egg for Lyleen, the Huge Dark Egg can produce several different Dark-type Pals, so hatching one is not guaranteed to give you Lyleen Noct. Collect these eggs during exploration of high-level dark zones and hatch them in your Egg Incubator.
Lyleen Stats and Work Suitability

Lyleen — Base Stats
- Element: Grass
- Paldeck Number: #186
- HP: 120
- Defense: 110
- Strong against: Ground-type Pals
- Weak to: Fire-type attacks
Lyleen — Work Suitability
- Planting Lv. 4 (upgradeable to Lv. 7 via Pal Essence Condenser) — the highest Planting suitability of any Pal in the game alongside Braloha
- Handiwork Lv. 3
- Medicine Production Lv. 3
- Gathering Lv. 2
Lyleen’s Planting Lv. 4 is the reason she is considered the best farming base Pal in the game. Braloha also reaches Lv. 4 Planting, but Lyleen’s smaller size means she gets stuck on base objects less often during work. After condensation, Lyleen can reach Planting Lv. 7 — the highest in the game — making her the definitive choice for any base built around food or plant production.
Lyleen Noct — Base Stats
- Element: Dark
- Paldeck Number: #186b
- HP: 115
- Defense: 115
- Strong against: Neutral-type Pals
- Weak to: Dragon-type attacks
Lyleen Noct — Work Suitability (updated in 1.0)
- Planting Lv. 4
- Handiwork Lv. 5 (increased from 3 in 1.0)
- Medicine Production Lv. 7 (significantly buffed in 1.0)
- Gathering Lv. 6 (significantly buffed in 1.0)
Lyleen Noct received a major work suitability buff in Palworld 1.0. Its Medicine Production jumped to Lv. 7 and Gathering to Lv. 6, making it also a strong base worker choice — particularly for medicine-focused operations. Note that Lyleen Noct is nocturnal, so it only works at night at your base.
Partner Skills — Healing Explained
Lyleen — Harvest Goddess
When activated, Lyleen’s Partner Skill gradually restores HP for you and all Pals in your party. The healing scales with Partner Skill level, restoring between 80–90% of health at higher levels. This makes Lyleen an exceptional companion for long combat sessions, dungeon runs, and boss fights where keeping your party healthy without burning through healing items is critical.
Lyleen Noct — Goddess of the Tranquil Light
Lyleen Noct’s Partner Skill functions the same way as Harvest Goddess but provides stronger healing output. For pure healing performance, Lyleen Noct is the top pick. Combined with its higher combat stats, it is the better choice if you want a Pal that heals and fights effectively. Lyleen is the better pure base worker; Lyleen Noct does both.
Lyleen and Lyleen Noct Drops
Lyleen drops: Beautiful Flower (100%), Innovative Technical Manual, Low Grade Medical Supplies. The Alpha version additionally drops Ancient Civilization Parts and Precious Entrails.
Lyleen Noct drops: Beautiful Flower, Innovative Technical Manual, Low Grade Medical Supplies.
Best Passive Skills for Lyleen and Lyleen Noct
For combat and Partner Skill healing use, prioritise: Legend (Attack, Defense, and speed boost), Ferocious (+20% Attack), Burly Body (Defense), and Swift (Movement Speed). These passives make both Lyleens far more effective in active combat situations and also improve their survivability as party members. For a full passive reference, see our guide on all new passive skills in Palworld 1.0.
For base work, prioritise: Workaholic (works faster with less SAN loss) and Artisan (work speed bonus). These maximize Lyleen’s effectiveness at Planting and Medicine Production tasks without her wandering off to lower-priority jobs.
Tips for Catching Lyleen and Lyleen Noct
- Plan a night visit for both. At night near the Secluded Cemetery on Sakurajima, Lyleen Noct spawns beside a sleeping Lyleen. You can attempt both captures in one trip.
- Use Fire Pals against Lyleen, Dragon Pals against Lyleen Noct. Type advantage lets you reduce their HP efficiently without killing them accidentally.
- Bring Legendary or Ultra Spheres. Both are high-rarity Pals with low base catch rates. Lower-tier spheres waste attempts at full health. Upgrade your catch rate at the Statue of Power using Lifmunk Effigies first.
- Fly loops around the area if the spawn is not showing. Pal spawns refresh as you circle the zone. Leave the area briefly or do circuits above the island to trigger new spawns if neither Lyleen appears on arrival.
- Capture rather than defeat. Both Lyleens give you a party Pal directly and still respawn as Alpha Pals for future visits. Defeating them just for drops wastes the opportunity to add one to your roster.
- Upgrade with the Pal Essence Condenser. Condensing multiple Lyleens raises Planting up to Lv. 7 — the highest available. Plan to breed extras once you have your first pair. Read our Alpha Pal breeding guide for setup tips.
- Do not put Lyleen near too many work stations. Her base AI picks the nearest job she qualifies for, not the most important one. If she has access to Gathering nodes, Handiwork benches, and a Planting field simultaneously, she will get pulled off planting constantly. Design your base so she only has access to the jobs you want her doing.
Lyleen vs Lyleen Noct — Which Should You Get First?
Both are worth having, but they serve different priorities. Get Lyleen first if your main goal is base efficiency — her Planting Lv. 4 (up to 7 after condensation) is unmatched for farming bases, and the Sakurajima Alpha is available any time of day. Get Lyleen Noct first if you prioritise combat and healing — she has stronger healing output from her Partner Skill and better combat stats. For Arena fights and raid boss encounters, Lyleen Noct’s healing is more impactful. See our guide on the how to join Arena fights in Palworld for how to use her Partner Skill effectively in structured combat.
Ideally, catch both on the same night visit to Sakurajima, then breed more Lyleen Nocts using the Lyleen + Menasting combination once you have a pair established.
Frequently Asked Questions

Can you breed Lyleen Noct in Palworld 1.0?
Yes. Lyleen + Menasting is the valid breeding combination for Lyleen Noct. Once you have a Lyleen and a Menasting, you can breed as many Lyleen Nocts as you need.
Where does Lyleen Noct spawn?
Near the Secluded Cemetery on Sakurajima at approximately -632, 302, but only at night. It also spawns in the World Tree region at night at levels 75–80.
What is Lyleen Noct weak to?
Dragon-type attacks. Bring Dragon-type Pals to fight it efficiently.
What is Lyleen good for at base?
Planting (Lv. 4, up to 7 via condensation), Handiwork (Lv. 3), Medicine Production (Lv. 3), and Gathering (Lv. 2). She is one of the best all-round farming and medicine base Pals in the game, and the top Planting Pal overall.
Is Lyleen Noct better than Lyleen?
