Fast travel to Unthawable Lake and fly west to reach the deposit. The nodes are on elevated and uneven terrain, so a flying mount makes navigation significantly easier.

2. PAL Genetic Research Unit Tower Entrance

The area near the PAL Genetic Research Unit Tower entrance is another excellent location with approximately 9 Pure Quartz nodes and a naturally defensible layout that works well for a base. This is one of the top choices if you want a combat-oriented setup for defending your mining operation.

3. Land of Absolute Zero

South of the Land of Absolute Zero fast travel point at approximately -256, 392 is a strong late-game spot with around 8 Pure Quartz nodes and 2 Ore nodes. This makes it the top choice if you want to farm Pure Quartz and Ore simultaneously. A flying mount is needed to access the elevated terrain here.

4. Pristine Snow Field — Safest Option

Northwest of the Pristine Snow Field fast travel point at approximately -420, 461, you will find around 6 Pure Quartz nodes with fewer nearby enemy and wild Pal interruptions than the larger clusters. This is the best pick for players who want to mine in relative peace without constant fights breaking out.

5. Mossanda Forest / Outside the Snow — Early Game Alternative

If you need Pure Quartz before you have the gear for the Astral Mountains, there is a location in the greener terrain just left of the desert biome on the upper-right portion of the map — around coordinates 290, -100. This spot sits outside the main snow region and has no cold resistance requirement.

It does not match the large northern clusters for total node count, so treat it as an early top-up stop rather than a long-term farming spot. The Mossanda Forest area also contains a cluster of 9 Pure Quartz nodes, though you still need to be at a sufficient level to handle the surrounding Pals.

Early Accessible Spot — Garden Beneath the Cliffs Area

At approximately -209, 250, just north of the Garden Beneath the Cliffs fast travel point at the southern edge of the Astral Mountains, there are multiple Pure Quartz nodes. This is one of the more accessible entry points into the snow biome and a good first stop before pushing further north.

Set Up a Mining Base Near a Cluster

The most efficient long-term strategy is to build a base inside one of the Pure Quartz clusters above. Drop a Palbox near the nodes, then set up the following structures:

Storage chests placed close to the mining nodes to cut Transporting Pal travel time.
Feed Box and Berry Plantation positioned near each other and centrally located so all Pals can access them.
Pal Beds and Hot Springs placed at the outer edges of the base where Pals interact with them least.
