- The game has 7 different endings — keep a manual save before the final quest.
The All Quest List in The Blood of Dawnwalker is something every player needs to check early. This game from Rebel Wolves does not hand you a tidy checklist. You have one overarching goal: save your family from Brencis, the vampire lord. The main quest is marked by a day countdown because you have 30 days to rescue Coen’s family. Within that window, there are prologue quests, side quests, Court Activities, and character questlines to handle across many regions. Some are missable. Some affect the ending you get. This guide gives you the full picture — every quest category, every region, and what you should not skip. If you want to check out how the story begins, read our Prologue Walkthrough for The Blood of Dawnwalker first. How Quests Work In The Blood of Dawnwalker
After the prologue, you reach the open world and can do quests in any order. The story goal is to work through the Court Activities menu and provoke the three vampiric vassals — Ambrus, Bakir, and Xanthe — into duels. Defeat all three to draw out Brencis.
Time only moves forward when you actually do things, whether that is quests, side activities, or taking down Brencis’s lieutenants. This means you can explore freely without panic. A focused run reaches Brencis in 7 to 10 days, so there is more than enough time for side content.
Time-sensitive quests are marked with a clock icon in your quest log. There are eight time segments each day and eight each night. Quests that use time show an hourglass symbol and a number to indicate how many segments they consume.
Prologue Quests (Missable – Do These First)
The prologue takes place in Laslea Glen. Every prologue quest is missable and gone the moment the prologue ends, so clear the side content you care about first. The main story quests here are:

- Page-Turner
- Like Father, Like Son

They are short combat encounters that raise the anger level of each vampire vassal. Once a vassal reaches max anger, you can challenge them to a duel. Hidden and Notable Quests Worth Flagging
A few quests are not listed in any obvious place in the journal. Here are the key ones to know about.
Home Sweet Home
This quest is found inside Silts Tower in the south-west corner of the map. Enter the tower and go to the top floor. Interacting with the door triggers a flashback sequence. Playing through it four times unlocks a secret ending path. Most players miss this entirely.
A Mother’s Plea
This hidden Bakir activity requires you to complete A Friend Like This and Song of the Mountain first. It is time-sensitive and tied to the Lacra and Osha character storylines. If you skip those two quests, A Mother’s Plea never appears.
The Night of Horrors
This is optional inside the Lacra questline but it comes with a perk reward. Our Night of Horrors and the Mandrake Ward perk guide covers exactly how to get it.
The Ending Quests
Once you defeat all three vassals and reach maximum infamy, Brencis sends a message. The final quest is called A Deal with the Devil. From there, you can set up each of the seven endings. Save manually before starting it. After each ending you return to the title screen with no free roam. Reload your pre-final-quest save to try a different ending.
For the full breakdown, see our guide on The Blood of Dawnwalker platforms, editions, and release details and check how long it takes to beat The Blood of Dawnwalker depending on how much you explore.
Quick Tips For Managing All These Quests
- Climb all 11 Towers early. They mark every activity on your map as white “?” icons — this saves a lot of wandering.
- Buy Shapeshift (Vampirism) and Mercurial Fervor (Witchcraft) first. These make you much faster when moving around the world.
- You are stronger at night. Use Shadowstep to climb buildings and use claws instead of a sword against enemies in the dark.
- Make a manual save every few quests. The game gives you 54 save slots — use them. Keep one save before the final quest for all endings.
- Do not kill quest givers or non-hostile NPCs. This locks you out of content with no warning.
- If you want to expand your build during all this content, our guide on getting more ability slots and best skills to level up are very helpful.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many quests are in The Blood of Dawnwalker?
There are 6 prologue main quests, 10 prologue side quests, 41 Court Activities across three vampire vassals, and over 50 side quests spread across multiple regions. The total number varies slightly depending on which optional questlines you trigger through dialogue and choices.
Are any quests permanently missable?
Yes. All prologue quests disappear once the Blood Mass begins and the prologue ends. Outside the prologue, some quests have time-sensitive objectives after you start them, but most can be started at any point during your 30 days as long as you have not triggered them yet.
What happens if you run out of the 30 days?
If time runs out, Brencis kills Coen’s family and the game forces an outcome. However, because time only moves when you take actions, running out the clock by accident is very hard to do. A focused story run only takes 7 to 10 days, leaving plenty of time for side quests.
What order should I do the bosses in?
The recommended order is Ambrus first (Level 1+), then Bakir (Level 20+), then Xanthe (Level 25+). This follows the natural level curve of the game. Going out of order means fighting bosses you are underleveled for, which makes the fights much harder than they need to be.
