Palworld: All Village and Town Locations

All village and town locations in Palworld — from the Small Settlement to Fisherman's Point, Duneshelter, and all 1.0 story camps, with coordinates and what each one offers.

All village and town locations in Palworld span the full map of Palpagos Island — from the tiny first settlement near the starting area to bustling trading hubs, abandoned ruins, and the new story camps added in the 1.0 update. Each location has its own set of merchants, resources, and reasons to visit. This guide covers every settlement with coordinates, what you’ll find there, and why it’s worth stopping by.

TL;DR

  • There are three main active towns with merchants: Small Settlement, Duneshelter, and Fisherman’s Point.
  • Small Settlement (74, -486) is near the starting area — great for early-game supplies.
  • Duneshelter (351, 355) is in the desert — multiple merchants including a Black Marketeer nearby.
  • Fisherman’s Point (-478, -744) is the biggest trading hub with Fire Pal merchants and rare egg spawns.
  • There are also smaller merchant outposts at Marsh Island, Sea Breeze Archipelago, and Forgotten Island.
  • Abandoned settlements like Ruined Fortress City and the Unnamed City are worth exploring for rare eggs.
  • The Palworld 1.0 update added story camps at Bamboo Grove, Sakurajima, Astral Mountains, and Sunreach.

Small Settlement

Coordinates: (74, -486)

This is almost certainly the first settlement you’ll find. It sits just west of the Plateau of Beginnings starting area in Windswept Hills, so you’ll stumble across it naturally during the early hours of the game. It’s small — a handful of peasants, one guard, and a couple of merchants — but it punches above its weight for new players.

Here’s what you’ll find:

  • Wandering Merchant — Sells basic materials like Wool, Leather, Bone, Horn, Seeds, and cheap hat schematics. Great for plugging early gaps in your resource supply.
  • Pal Merchant — Sells Level 1–10 Pals including Lamball, Foxparks, Eikthyrdeer, and Univolt.
  • Bounty Intel Dealer — Provides Bounty locations so you can track down targets for rewards.

The Small Settlement is a must-visit early on, especially before you have farming setups running. If you’re just starting out, pair it with our best start guide for Palworld 1.0 and our tips on best starting Pals to hit the ground running.

Duneshelter

Coordinates: (351, 355)

Duneshelter sits in the middle of the Dessicated Desert biome. It looks like a town that survived a siege and never quite recovered — somewhat abandoned, a little eerie — but it’s one of the most useful merchant hubs on the entire map, especially once you’re pushing into mid and late game.

Here’s what you’ll find:

  • Two Wandering Merchants — Stock includes materials, resources, gun ammunition, heat- and cold-resistant armor schematics, and the Musket weapon. They also sell High Quality Pal Oil.
  • Pal Merchant — Located deeper inside town. Sells Level 25–35 Electric, Ground, and Neutral Pals including Digtoise and Rayhound.
  • Black Marketeer — Found outside the town walls to the right of the entrance. Deals in contraband and rarer Pals. Well worth a visit if you need something the regular merchants won’t carry.

The surrounding area is also worth exploring. There’s a Level 47 Dinossaom Lux boss to the north and a Level 45 Suzaku boss to the south. The Tower of PIDF is to the east. Duneshelter is also a solid spot for farming Electric organs from Sparkit, Jolthog, and Mossanda Lux nearby.

Fisherman’s Point

Coordinates: (-478, -744)

Fisherman’s Point is the biggest and most important trading hub in Palworld. It’s a proper fishing village on the beach shore at the southern coast of Mount Obsidian — larger than the Small Settlement and stocked with more merchants and better goods. If you only visit one town regularly, make it this one.

Here’s what you’ll find:

  • Two Wandering Merchants — One sells Skill Fruits, ammo, and a Makeshift Handgun. Ideal for players who want combat upgrades without farming.
  • Pal Merchant — Sells Level 25–35 Fire Pals only, including Pyrin, Reptyro, and Vanwyrm.
  • Huge Dragon Eggs — These can randomly spawn here and hatch into Jetragon or Jormuntide Ignis. Worth checking every visit.

Fisherman’s Point is also the closest fast travel point to the Terraria Dungeon — head southeast from here to reach the Sealed Realm of Terraria. See our Terraria Dungeon guide for the full walkthrough. For Skill Fruits from the merchant here, check our guide on how to get Skill Fruits in Palworld.

Marsh Island Outpost

Marsh Island Outpost
Marsh Island Outpost

East of the Marsh Island Church Ruins fast travel point, you’ll find a small duo of merchants sitting together. The area is northeast of Windswept Hills. It’s not a full town, but the merchants here are very accessible early in the game.

Here’s what you’ll find:

  • Wandering Merchant — Sells standard materials, the same stock as the Small Settlement merchant.
  • Pal Merchant — Sells Level 1–10 Pals including Eikthyrdeer and Univolt. Easy early Pal shopping.

Sea Breeze Archipelago Outpost

Sea Breeze Archipelago Outpost
Sea Breeze Archipelago Outpost

The Sea Breeze Archipelago sits southwest of Windswept Hills, off the southern coastline of the main island. The merchant pair is located in the center of the archipelago, near the church ruins. The Sea Breeze Archipelago Church Ruins fast travel point is at coordinates (-72, -550).

Here’s what you’ll find:

  • Wandering Merchant — Same stock as other early-game wandering merchants.
  • Pal Merchant — Level 1–10 Pals for sale.
  • Black Marketeer (nearby) — Head east from the Church fast travel point and look for rocks jutting into the ocean. The Black Marketeer stands at the edge of that outcrop, accessible by flying or swimming Pal.

Forgotten Island Outpost

The Forgotten Island is on the western edge of the map. The merchant pair is found on the northeastern shore of the island.

Here’s what you’ll find:

  • Wandering Merchant — Early-game materials and supplies.
  • Pal Merchant — Level 1–10 Pals for sale, same bracket as the other early outposts.

Ruined Fortress City

Located in the north of Mount Obsidian near the shore, the Ruined Fortress City is an abandoned settlement rather than an active town — no residents, no merchants. But it’s absolutely worth exploring. The city is surrounded by rocks and ocean on multiple sides, making it naturally fortified. The Ruined Fortress City fast travel point is at coordinates (-562, -346).

What makes it worth the trip:

  • Hidden eggs scattered throughout the ruins, including rare ones. Some players have found Huge Dragon Eggs here that hatch into Jetragon — making it one of only two spots on the map where that’s possible outside merchant Pal purchases.
  • Exploration value — Abandoned rooms and pillars contain unexpected items. Take time to check every corner.
  • Black Marketeer — One spawns just west of the Ruined Fortress City fast travel point.

If you find a Jetragon egg here, check our Jetragon Guide and our list of fastest Pal mounts to make the most of it.

Unnamed City (Astral Mountains Ruins)

This is a second abandoned settlement with no official name, found near the No Man’s Trail at the base of the Astral Mountains. Like the Ruined Fortress City, there are no residents or merchants — just ruins worth exploring.

What makes it worth the trip:

  • Suzaku Aqua egg — You can find the egg that hatches Suzaku Aqua here, a powerful Pal that can also fly. A great find for players building a strong flying roster.
  • Multiple passages to walk through, with items and secrets tucked away.

Palworld 1.0 Story Camps and Settlements

The Palworld 1.0 update added a full main questline, and with it came several smaller story-focused camps across the map. These aren’t trading hubs — they’re NPC quest settlements. Most don’t have dedicated fast travel points, and outside of the questline there’s limited reason to return. But knowing where they are helps you stay on track with the main story.

Bamboo Grove Camp

Located in the Bamboo Groves biome in the central belt of Palpagos Island. This camp is a story checkpoint with NPCs tied to the main questline. Outside of quest-related visits, it offers very little. The surrounding Bamboo Groves biome is a Level 15–25 zone, with the Free Pal Alliance tower (Lily and Lyleen, Level 20) nearby.

Sakurajima Camp

On Sakurajima Island, just off the northwest coast of the mainland. This is another story NPC hub added in 1.0, but the area around it is worth exploring regardless. A small shrine nearby has a merchant, and there’s a side quest involving an injured Kitsun Noct in the area. Sakurajima is a Level 50–55 zone with the Moonflower tower (Saya and Selyne, Level 55) also on the island.

Astral Mountains Camp

A minor settlement encountered during the main quest in the Astral Mountains biome. The Astral Mountains are a Level 45–50 zone and home to the PAL Genetic Research Unit tower (Victor and Shadowbeak, Level 50). This camp also sits near some of the best dungeon farming spots for Bellanoir Libero Slab Fragments, which drop from Level 40+ dungeons in this region.

Sunreach Settlement

Added in Palworld 1.0, Sunreach is the first entirely new region in the game — a zone of floating sky islands. The settlement there has new NPCs and sub-missions. Sunreach is a Level 60–68 zone and home to the Azure Covenant tower. To reach it, you first need to clear the Feybreak tower and unlock the portal. See our guide on how to reach Sunreach Island and how to remove the Fog of War on Sunreach Island once you arrive.

Feybreak Camp

On the Feybreak island, which is a Level 55–60 zone. Like the other story camps, it mainly exists as a quest hub. The Feybreak tower (Bjorn and Bastigor, Level 60) is the main draw of this island — clearing it opens the portal to Sunreach.

Black Marketeer Locations Summary

Black Marketeers sell Pals from a rotating pool of 92 Pals that restocks every 48 minutes. They don’t sell items — only Pals. Here’s a quick reference for where to find them near each settlement:

  • Duneshelter — Outside the town walls to the right of the entrance.
  • Sea Breeze Archipelago — On rocks east of the Church Ruins fast travel point, accessible by flying or swimming.
  • Mount Obsidian (Beach of Everlasting Summer) — Just south of the Beach of Everlasting Summer fast travel point at around (-804, -564).
  • Ruined Fortress City — Just west of the Ruined Fortress City fast travel point at (-562, -346).
