The Bellanoir Libero Raid Boss in Palworld is one of the toughest fights in the game. She’s a Level 50 Dark and Ice type witch with a massive HP pool, a self-heal mechanic, and a phase transition that catches most players off guard. You can’t catch her in the wild — the only way to get a Bellanoir Libero of your own is to summon her, beat both phases, and hatch the Huge Dark Egg she drops. What Is Bellanoir Libero?

Bellanoir Libero is Paldeck entry #112B. She’s a tall, witch-like humanoid in a flowing black gown with eerie blue eye-like patterns at her waist and flickering pinkish-purple flames where legs would be. She doesn’t walk — she floats. She’s the upgraded version of the original Bellanoir, and she’s significantly harder. While Bellanoir is a straightforward Dark-type fight, Libero adds a second phase with a full heal and type change that forces you to rethink your team composition mid-fight.

She’s a raid boss, so you summon her, fight her, and claim the reward. There’s no open-world encounter. If you want a Bellanoir Libero as a Pal, the Huge Dark Egg is your only option.

How to Unlock the Summoning Altar

Before you can summon any raid boss, you need to build a Summoning Altar. This is unlocked at player Level 33 through the Ancient Technology tree. You’ll need Ancient Technology Points to unlock it — see our guide on how to get Ancient Technology Points if you’re short.

Once unlocked, craft the Summoning Altar using 100 Stone and 20 Paldium Fragments, then place it at your base. This is where you’ll insert the slab to trigger the raid.

How to Get Bellanoir Libero’s Slab

You can’t buy or find a completed slab in the world. You have to craft one. Here’s the full process:

Step 1 — Farm 4 Slab Fragments

Bellanoir Libero’s Slab Fragments are the rare component. They’re only found in high-level content. Here are the main ways to get them:

• High-level dungeon chests — The most reliable source. Run dungeons in the Astral Mountains region (the snowy biome). Most are around Level 45, so aim to be at least Level 50 to 55 before farming here. Defeat the dungeon boss and open the final two chests for a chance at a fragment or a complete slab.
• Pal Expeditions to Blazing Cavern — Send strong Pals on the Blazing Cavern expedition. Meeting or exceeding the Firepower requirement guarantees rewards. Note: this expedition requires clearing its associated tower boss first.
• Wildlife Sanctuary chests — A solid secondary source you can sweep while hunting rare Pals in the area.

Step 2 — Craft the Slab

Once you have 4 fragments, head to any Workbench or Production Assembly Line and craft Bellanoir Libero’s Slab. Keep in mind: you need at least one fragment in your inventory to see the recipe appear at the workbench.

Step 3 — Offer the Slab at the Summoning Altar

Interact with your Summoning Altar and select the Bellanoir Libero Slab from the offering menu. You’ll get a choice between fighting at your base or in a clean raid arena. If you choose your base, your base defenses help but the boss can damage your structures. The raid arena keeps things tidy. Either works — pick what suits your playstyle.

Important: the Summoning Altar is consumed when used, so you’ll need to build a new one for each run. Also, in co-op play, only the player who offers the slab and triggers the fight receives the Huge Dark Egg at the end.

Because Bellanoir Libero is weak to both Dragon and Fire damage, you want a team that covers both types. Phase 1 is Dark, Phase 2 is Ice — Dragon handles both, and Fire shines especially in Phase 2.

• Arsox — Reliable Fire damage for Phase 2.
• Wixen — Strong Fire attacker, good uptime on skills.
• Blazehowl Noct — Fire/Dark type, resistant to Dark attacks in Phase 1 and useful in Phase 2.
• Pyrin Noct and Vanwyrm — Both perform well during the Ice phase.

Support picks:

• Gobfin — Fills your party’s attack stat with a passive 10–20% Attack buff. Stack multiple Gobfins if possible.
• Lyleen or Petallia — Healing support that keeps you and your Pals alive through the longer second phase.

Bellanoir Libero Fight Walkthrough — Phase by Phase

Phase 1 — Dark Type

The fight opens with Bellanoir Libero as a Dark type. Spam Dragon-type skills and keep your Pal abilities on cooldown as much as possible. Her attacks in Phase 1 include:

• Dark Cannon — A hard-hitting basic beam attack.
• Nightmare Bloom — Her signature exclusive attack. It deals heavy damage and tracks sideways, so run backwards to dodge it rather than strafing.
• Apocalypse — Can tear up terrain and deal huge area damage to your base Pals.
• Flame Waltz — Another area attack that punishes Pals that clump together.
• Dark orbs — She summons homing orbs that track the nearest target.
• Wide-area dark beams — These can pierce through walls. Don’t assume cover protects you.

Critical tip: Don’t let your Pals clump up. Her beam attacks hit wide areas and can wipe your entire team if they’re all standing together. Spread them out and reposition often.

This is a timed fight — you have a 10-minute window. Bellanoir Libero also heals during the fight, so slow damage loses. You need to out-damage her regeneration. Burst is everything here. Don’t play conservatively.

Phase 2 — Ice Type (Triggered at 1 HP)

When you drop her HP down to 1, she fires a freezing burst in all directions. This freezes everyone in the arena. She then regenerates roughly 30–50% of her total HP and permanently shifts to Ice-type attacks. The phase change also nearly doubles her attack output while increasing the damage she takes — so Phase 2 is both more dangerous and your chance to finish her fast.

New Phase 2 attacks include:

• Diamond Rain — Deals heavy damage from above and applies freeze.
• Ice-type skills — The freeze effects can lock you and your Pals in place, opening you up to follow-up hits.

Dragon-type Pals still deal great damage in Phase 2 since Ice is still weak to them. Fire-type Pals become even more valuable here as Ice is also weak to Fire. If you brought Jormuntide Ignis or Pyrin Noct, this is their moment. Use agile flight-capable Pals or Pals with double jump to dodge the bigger hits and avoid getting frozen in place.

Top skills to use against her in Phase 2 specifically: Flame Funnel and Seed Mine both deal excellent burst damage. Flame Funnel in particular is outstanding at burst during the second phase — buy it from a merchant if you don’t have it yet.

Tips for Surviving the Bellanoir Libero Raid

• Don’t stack your Pals. Wide-area beam attacks punish bunched-up teams hard. Position them at angles to the boss so one sweep doesn’t hit everyone.
• Bring ranged weapons. Poking at Bellanoir Libero from outside her attack range with a bow or firearm is safer than trading melee hits up close.
• Use a flying or double-jump Pal. Her attacks are dodgeable if you can move fast. Mounted mobility is a big survival advantage.
• Keep skills rolling. Don’t let Pal skills sit on cooldown — the fight is a DPS race. Every second of skill downtime risks losing to the timer or the heal.
• Brace for the Phase 2 freeze. When she drops to 1 HP, the all-directions freeze is coming. Try to be moving so you land out of the thickest hit area.
• Stack your own attack buffs. Multiple Gobfins in the party add up fast. A 15–20% attack increase across your team makes a real dent in that 450,000 HP pool.

Bellanoir Libero Rewards and Drops

Defeating Bellanoir Libero is well worth the effort. Here’s what you get:

• Huge Dark Egg — Guaranteed drop. Hatches into your own Bellanoir Libero. Only the player who triggered the raid receives it in co-op.
• IV Fruits — Used to improve the stats of your Pals across the board. Make repeat clears worthwhile even after you have the egg.
• Hallowed Bars (from some versions) — Crafting material for Terraria crossover gear.
• Bellanoir Libero Ultra Slab — Dropped from some variants. Used to summon the harder Ultra version of the fight with better rewards.

How to Hatch the Huge Dark Egg

Once you receive the Huge Dark Egg, take it back to your base and place it in any Incubator. Let it incubate normally — it will hatch into a Bellanoir Libero. The Pal that comes out has a 90% chance to be Female.

Is Bellanoir Libero Worth Using as a Pal?

Yes, she earns a permanent base slot. Once hatched, Bellanoir Libero has Medicine Production Level 4 work suitability, making her one of the best Pals in the game for crafting medicines passively. Her base attack stat is among the highest in all of Palworld, and her Partner Skill is Nightmare Stare — which causes Bellanoir Libero to launch several high-power beams that deal serious damage in combat. She’s a strong fighter and a productive base worker, making her one of the most valuable raid rewards in the game.

Bellanoir Libero vs Regular Bellanoir — What’s the Difference?

• Regular Bellanoir is Level 30 and pure Dark type — straightforward Dragon counter, no phase transition.
• Bellanoir Libero is Level 50, has a second Ice phase with a full heal, nearly double the HP, and hits significantly harder.
• Bellanoir Libero fragments only drop from high-level content (Level 40+ dungeons), while regular Bellanoir fragments can come from lower-level chests starting around Level 19.
• Bellanoir has no Ultra form. Bellanoir Libero’s Ultra variant exists and can be summoned using the slab dropped by some versions of the fight.
