Terraria Dungeon in Palworld is located on Eternal Summer Isle — here's how to get there, clear every room, beat the Eye of Cthulhu, and grab all the best loot.

The Terraria Dungeon in Palworld — officially called the Sealed Realm of Terraria — is the crown jewel of the Tides of Terraria crossover update. It has exclusive Pals, powerful loot, and a proper boss waiting at the end. If you haven’t found it yet, or you keep getting lost inside, this guide covers everything: exact location, step-by-step walkthrough, all the Pals you can catch, and every reward worth grabbing.

TL;DR

  • The Terraria Dungeon is on Eternal Summer Isle, southeast of Fisherman’s Point at coordinates (-422, -796).
  • Fly or swim there — look for the giant Hallowed Armor statue and enter the portal in front of it.
  • Bring a Pickaxe — many paths are blocked by breakable rocks and golden walls.
  • The dungeon has no in-game map, so use this guide to navigate.
  • The final boss is the Eye of Cthulhu, a level 45 Dark-type Pal you can capture.
  • Loot includes Hallowed Bars, Life Crystals, Hallowed Armor schematics, Terra Blade, Terraprisma, and more.
  • Recommended level: 45 or higher before entering.

What Is the Terraria Dungeon in Palworld?

The Sealed Realm of Terraria was added in the Version 0.6 Tides of Terraria update, which brought a full crossover between Palworld and the classic 2D adventure game Terraria. Inside this dungeon, enemies from Terraria exist in full 3D — slimes, demon eyes, cave bats, and more. You can fight them, capture them as Pals, and loot chests packed with exclusive crafting materials and weapon schematics. It’s a completely separate space from the main world, with its own layout, enemies, and music.

Terraria Dungeon Location in Palworld

The dungeon entrance sits on Eternal Summer Isle, southeast of the Fisherman’s Point fast travel point. The exact coordinates are (-422, -796). Fisherman’s Point is south of Mount Obsidian and the Eternal Pyre Tower — fast travel there first, then head southeast across the water.

You’ll want a flying or aquatic Pal to cross the sea quickly. A flying mount makes the trip much faster. Check our list of best flying mounts in Palworld if you need one, or look at the fastest Pal mounts for alternatives.

Once you arrive on the island, you’ll immediately spot a large statue wearing Terraria’s iconic Hallowed Armor. The portal to enter the dungeon is right in front of that statue. Walk through it and you’re in.

How to Prepare Before Entering

Before you jump in, a few things will make the run go much smoother:

  • Level up to at least 45. This dungeon is no joke at lower levels. Prioritize your key stats before heading in — our best stats to level up first guide can help you prepare.
  • Bring a Pickaxe. Several areas inside the dungeon are blocked by breakable rock walls and golden barriers. You can’t progress without one.
  • Use Dragon-type Pals. The final boss is a level 45 Dark-type, so Dragon-types have a clear advantage. Pals like Jetragon are excellent choices here — see our Jetragon Guide for details.
  • Stock up on Pal Spheres. Every single creature inside can be captured, so bring plenty if you want to catch them all.
  • There is no map. This is important. The Sealed Realm of Terraria gives you no in-game map, so getting lost is easy. Keep reading this guide to navigate without wasting time.

Terraria Dungeon Walkthrough — Room by Room

The dungeon layout is fixed. It doesn’t change between runs, which makes repeat farming straightforward once you learn the path. Here’s how to get from the entrance to the boss without getting turned around.

Room 1 — The Meadow Entrance

When you enter through the portal, you’ll spawn into an open meadow area with slimes walking around and the familiar Terraria music playing in the background. Head straight into the small cave in front of you. As you walk through, you’ll notice clay pots on the ground — smash every one of them. They drop Hallowed Bars, which are the main crafting material from this dungeon. Each pot usually gives two to three bars.

Room 2 — Left Cave Branch

Once you exit the first cave into an opening, take the left path. Continue forward until you reach another open area. This is where the dungeon starts branching out. Explore the side areas as you go — chests here have schematics and Life Crystals. Don’t rush past everything.

Room 3 — Wooden House and Underground Layer

From the next opening, take the right path. This leads you into a cave that has a wooden house inside it. Pass through the house to enter a new sub-biome. If you’ve played Terraria before, you’ll recognize this as the Underground layer, complete with its own background music pulled directly from that game. It’s a nice touch.

Room 4 — Waterway and Left Cave Exit

Exit the underground area through the waterway and make your way to the left-side cave entrance. Keep pushing forward through this section. You’ll soon find a hole you can drop down into, which leads to a mine cave filled with glowing purple stones. This part of the dungeon has a distinct visual shift and is where things start picking up in terms of enemy density.

Room 5 — Golden Walls and the Boss Path

As you move through the mine cave, you’ll reach two paths blocked by golden walls. Use your Pickaxe to break through the one on the right side. Behind it is the boss arena. Make sure you’ve healed up and your Pals are in good shape before breaking through — the Eye of Cthulhu fight starts immediately when you enter.

All Pals You Can Find Inside the Terraria Dungeon

Every creature you meet in the Sealed Realm of Terraria can be caught and used as a Pal. Worth noting: they won’t have entries in the Paldex since they’re crossover creatures. Here’s the full roster of what you can find inside:

  • Eye of Cthulhu (Boss — level 45 Dark-type)
  • Red Slime
  • Blue Slime
  • Green Slime
  • Purple Slime
  • Rainbow Slime
  • Illuminant Slime
  • Demon Eye
  • Cave Bat
  • Illuminant Bat
  • Enchanted Sword

Before you even enter the dungeon, you can also find Herbil, Palumba, and Finsider roaming the Eternal Summer Isle itself. Grab them while you’re in the area. Cave Bat and Illuminant Bat are especially useful since they follow you around and pick up dropped items automatically, even when another Pal is deployed.

How to Beat the Eye of Cthulhu in Palworld

Eye of Cthulhu boss monster
Eye of Cthulhu boss monster

The Eye of Cthulhu is the dungeon’s Alpha Boss. It’s a level 45 Dark-type, so bring Dragon-type Pals for the type advantage. Jetragon, Astegon, Orserk, and Jormuntide Ignis all work extremely well here.

The boss mainly attacks by dashing at you repeatedly. It also has sweeping projectile attacks and occasional area-of-effect bursts. Keep moving at all times. Let your Pals do the heavy lifting while you dodge and reposition. Don’t stand still or you’ll take heavy hits.

When the Eye of Cthulhu’s health gets low, switch to throwing your best Pal Spheres to try catching it. As a combat Pal it only knows one move called Mad Eye Lunge, which is underwhelming. However, it has Transporting Lv. 4 work suitability, making it very useful back at base for moving items around quickly.

All Terraria Dungeon Rewards and Loot

The dungeon is packed with things to collect. Here’s a breakdown of what you can get:

Loot from the Terraria Dungeon
Loot from the Terraria Dungeon

Hallowed Bars

This is the primary crafting material from the dungeon. You get them from smashing clay pots, opening chests, breaking golden walls, and defeating the Eye of Cthulhu. The boss itself can drop over 40 bars in a single run. You need Hallowed Bars to craft every piece of Terraria-themed equipment.

Life Crystals

Smash the heart-shaped crystals you find scattered around the dungeon. Each one gives you a Life Crystal, which permanently increases your maximum HP. These are consumable upgrades — don’t skip them.

Weapon and Armor Schematics

Chests throughout the dungeon drop schematics for exclusive Terraria-themed gear. Rarities are randomized, so farming the dungeon multiple times is worth it for better versions. Here’s what you can find:

  • Terraprisma — Conjures spectral blades that attack enemies on their own. See our full Terraprisma guide for details.
  • Terra Blade — Fires energy blades when swung.
  • Excalibur — Unleashes shockwaves on swing.
  • Vortex Beater — An energy assault rifle that fires laser bolts and rockets.
  • Hallowed Armor set — Different helmet types give bonuses tied to different Terraria weapons.
  • Celestial Sigil Schematic — Required to summon the Moon Lord raid boss.

Ancient Tech Manual

The boss chest can also drop an Ancient Tech Manual. If you want more from your Ancient Technology progression, check our guide on how to get Ancient Technology Points and how to farm Ancient Civilization Cores.

Can You Farm the Terraria Dungeon?

Yes, you can run it as many times as you want. The layout never changes, so once you know the path, runs go fast. Since schematic rarities are randomized every time, repeated clears are the best way to farm higher-rarity versions of the weapons and armor. Enemies do respawn fairly quickly once you pass certain areas, so grab your loot from the final boss chest and head straight to the exit portal after clearing it.

Looking for other efficient farms? Check our guides on best Pals for farming, best High Quality Pal Oil farm, and how to get Crude Oil.

Is the Celestial Sigil Only From the Terraria Dungeon?

Yes. The Celestial Sigil Schematic is only available from the Sealed Realm of Terraria. You need it to fight the Moon Lord, which is the new raid boss added alongside the Terraria crossover content. If fighting the Moon Lord is your goal, you’ll need to farm this dungeon until the schematic drops. There’s no other way to get it.

Final Tips for the Terraria Dungeon

  • Smash every clay pot you see — Hallowed Bars add up fast.
  • Check every side path for chests before heading to the boss.
  • Use the right side path past the golden walls to reach the boss arena.
  • Bring your best Dragon-type Pals for the Eye of Cthulhu fight.
  • Keep spare Pal Spheres ready if you want to catch the boss.
  • After the boss, grab the loot and exit quickly since enemies respawn fast.
  • Run the dungeon multiple times for better-rarity schematics.
