Sekhmet is a brand-new Ground-type Pal introduced in Palworld 1.0, which launched on July 10, 2026. She is Paldeck entry #140, Rarity 5, and belongs to the Humanoid genus. Her blue-and-gold Egyptian cat design went viral before the game even launched, with her dancing animation drawing comparisons to Ankha from Animal Crossing. According to her Paldeck lore, she was once feared as a symbol of death, but when Anubis took over that role, wealthy elites rebranded her as a symbol of nobility instead — which fits her in-game role perfectly as Anubis’ support unit.
Her base stats are solid across the board: 110 HP, 115 Ranged Attack, 100 Defense, and 100 Melee Attack. She is weak to Grass-type damage and resistant to Electric. You can get her on Xbox, PlayStation, or Steam.
Where To Find Sekhmet in Palworld
Sekhmet spawns in the desert region in the northeast of the main Palpagos Islands map. The good news is she is not locked behind the World Tree area like many other strong 1.0 Pals. She roams freely in the open world, and spawn timing is not a concern — she appears during both day and night.
The easiest place to find her is the Searing Dunes Watchtower fast travel point in the Dessicated Desert. Head there and you should spot groups of Sekhmet quickly. If you prefer coordinates, 450, 203 is a reliable starting point. She also has spawn points near the following fast travel locations:
- Deep Sand Dunes
- Duneshelter
- Sand Dunes Entrance
She typically spawns around level 35 to 40 on the main island, and up to level 80 in the World Tree region. Make sure your team is prepared for that level range before heading out.
How To Catch Sekhmet in Palworld
Sekhmet is a Ground-type Pal, which means Grass-type attacks deal double damage to her. Bring a strong Grass-type Pal to whittle down her HP quickly. Good options include Verdash, Mammorest, or Elizabee. Your goal is to reduce her health to a low amount without knocking her out, then throw a Pal Sphere to catch her.
Use at least Mega or Giga Spheres for a reliable catch rate. Higher-level variants like Legendary Spheres give you even better odds. Be careful in the desert — Sekhmet can spawn in groups, and her exclusive moves let her dart around at high speeds, so watch for multiple enemies at once. If you can get behind her during the fight, she is slower to turn around, making melee attacks easier to land. Stock up on spheres before you head out.
Sekhmet’s Partner Skill — Desert Empress
Sekhmet’s Partner Skill is called Desert Empress, and it is designed entirely around boosting Anubis. Here is how it works:
- +20% Anubis work speed — active as long as Sekhmet is assigned to the same base as Anubis
- +30% efficiency boost — applies when Sekhmet is actively working at a Workbench, Workshop, or related crafting facility
The two bonuses do not stack on top of each other — it is either the 20% passive proximity boost or the 30% active crafting boost, not both at once. Still, for anyone already running Anubis as a primary base worker, this is a direct upgrade to that whole setup. You do not need to replace Anubis. You just add Sekhmet alongside it and watch production speed climb. No saddle is required to activate Desert Empress — it works as soon as you catch Sekhmet and assign her to a base.

Sekhmet Work Suitability and Best Base Uses
Sekhmet is one of the best base workers introduced in Palworld 1.0. Her work suitability stats are:
- Handiwork Level 6 — one of the highest in the entire game, ideal for crafting, equipment production, and workshop tasks
- Mining Level 3 — great for stone and ore collection at your base
- Transporting Level 2 — helps move materials around the base efficiently
Her Handiwork Level 6 is the big headline. It lets her craft buildings, assemble production lines, and complete workshop jobs faster than almost any other Pal available right now. Combined with her Desert Empress boost to Anubis, the Sekhmet + Anubis combo is one of the best base-worker pairings in the game. Sekhmet Active Skills and Moveset
Sekhmet has a well-rounded moveset that mixes ranged pokes with hard-hitting melee. Her two exclusive skills are the standouts:
- Somersault Scratch (Level 30) — Sekhmet scratches the enemy then immediately backflips away, dealing 300 power and creating distance. Good for staying mobile in combat.
- Rolling Scratch (Level 40) — The opposite of Somersault Scratch. She spins forward at high speed to close the gap and lands a 400 power strike. A great gap-closer when enemies try to run.
- Sand Twister (Level 50) — Her biggest Ground attack at 500 power. She summons multiple sand tornadoes that continuously spin and deal damage to anything caught inside. One of the strongest Ground moves added in 1.0.
- Rocky Impact (Level 70) — Shakes the ground and lifts a massive boulder into the air, dealing heavy Ground damage.
During a wild encounter, watch for Somersault Scratch because she will backflip away right after using it — do not rush in immediately. When you defeat or catch a wild Sekhmet, she drops the following items:

How To Get Sekhmet From a Large Rocky Egg
Sekhmet can also hatch from a Large Rocky Egg. These eggs are found scattered across the Palpagos Islands as interactable objects you can pick up and incubate. The Alpha boss version hatches from a Huge Rocky Egg instead. Keep in mind that Large Rocky Eggs can hatch a range of different Ground-type and Rocky Pals, so getting a Sekhmet from a random egg is not guaranteed. Sekhmet has a breeding power of 870, placing her in the mid-to-high range of the 1.0 breeding table — not a cheap combo, but not endgame-difficult either. There are over 100 confirmed parent combinations that produce her. Here are some of the most accessible starting pairs:
- Kingpaca Cryst + Knocklem Ignis — one of the easiest starter combos using obtainable parents
- Anubis + Nyafia — a recommended pair since Anubis is common in mid-game setups
- Anubis + Icelyn — another solid and accessible option
- Ghangler + Frostplume — both parents are low rarity, making this the most beginner-friendly route from scratch
- Astegon + Palumba — works for players who have already progressed further into the game
- Warsect + Faleris Aqua — another confirmed mid-to-late game combo
- Mammorest + Flaracle — a reliable option for players with a wide Palbox
- Kingpaca Cryst + Tetroise Primo — another confirmed combination from 1.0 data
- Sekhmet + Sekhmet — once you have a pair, breeding two Sekhmet together always produces another Sekhmet. This is the best way to stack the right passives over multiple generations.

Is Sekhmet Worth Getting in Palworld?
Yes. Sekhmet is one of the best utility additions in Palworld 1.0. Handiwork Level 6 is among the highest in the game right now, and her Desert Empress skill turns an already powerful Anubis setup into something significantly faster without requiring you to replace anything. She also contributes at Mining and Transporting, so she is never sitting idle at your base.
For combat she is solid rather than exceptional, but her exclusive Ground moves hit hard and her mobility in fights is good.
