How to Get the Golden Knight Batman in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight
TL;DR
- The Golden Knight Batman suit is exclusive to buyers of the physical LEGO DC Batman Logo set (set number 76330), priced at $79.99.
- It is not available in-game through story progress, studs, or any digital purchase.
- To redeem: buy the set → scan the QR code in the instruction manual via your LEGO Insiders account → get your unique code → enter it at the main menu.
- The suit is purely cosmetic and is not required for 100% completion — it counts as a DLC skin.
- Each code is one-time use and expires on March 1, 2029.
- Buying all four LEGO Batman sets (76330–76333) together unlocks a bonus Gold Red Brick customiser not available any other way.
What Is the Golden Knight Batman Suit?
The Golden Knight Batman is the rarest and most exclusive suit in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. It is a full golden armoured Batsuit that makes Batman glow bright gold as he glides through Gotham. It has no gameplay effect — no extra stats, no new abilities — but it is one of the most visually striking outfits in the game.
Unlike every other suit in the game, you cannot earn or buy the Golden Knight suit through normal gameplay. No amount of studs, mission completions, or collectible hunting will unlock it. It is locked behind a real-world physical purchase, which is exactly why it has become one of the most talked-about rewards in the game.
What Do You Need to Buy?
To unlock the Golden Knight Batman suit, you must purchase the physical LEGO DC Batman: Batman Logo set, which carries the set number 76330. This set costs $79.99 USD from the official LEGO store and most major retailers.
The Batman Logo set is a 678-piece display model shaped like the iconic Batman symbol. It comes with two minifigures: a standard Batman and a commemorative golden Batman minifigure, along with a golden anniversary coin. It is a collector’s display piece first and a game bonus second.
The in-game Golden Knight suit is the digital equivalent of that golden minifigure. Once redeemed, it appears in Batman’s wardrobe in-game and you can equip it at any time.
How to Get the Golden Knight Batman – Step by Step
Step 1 – Buy the LEGO Batman Logo Set (76330)
Purchase the LEGO DC Batman Logo set (76330) from the LEGO store or any major retailer. Keep the box and do not discard the instruction manual — the QR code is printed on the front page of the building instructions inside. You do not need to build the set first before scanning the code.

Step 2 – Create or Log Into a Free LEGO Insiders Account
Go to lego.com and sign up for the free LEGO Insiders membership program, or log in if you already have one. This is the loyalty rewards program that LEGO uses to register sets and track purchases. It is completely free to join.
Once logged in, click on the minifig head icon in the top-right corner to access the My Membership or Account Overview section.
Step 3 – Register Your Set and Scan the QR Code
Inside your account overview, look for the option that says “Register Your Set”. Click it. Your device’s camera will activate, ready to scan. Open the instruction manual from the 76330 Batman Logo set and find the QR code on the front page. Scan it with your camera.
Important: The QR code does not work by scanning it directly into the game or into a standard QR reader app. You must go through the LEGO Insiders website and the “Register Your Set” flow specifically. Scanning it any other way will not generate your redemption code.
Step 4 – Claim Your Unique Redemption Code
After scanning, LEGO’s system will register the set to your account, add Insiders points to your wallet, and generate a unique alphanumeric redemption code. This code belongs only to you. Write it down or copy it somewhere safe — it is a single-use code and you will not want to lose it. Some players also find the code stored on their My LEGO Sets page for reference.

Step 5 – Redeem the Code In-Game
Launch LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight and go to the main menu. Look for the Redeem Code option. It is right there on the main menu — you do not need to be inside a game session to use it. Select it, enter your unique code (the game is not case-sensitive, so capital letters do not matter), and confirm.
The next time you load into the game, the Golden Knight suit will appear in Batman’s wardrobe. To equip it, press Options/Start, go to Characters, hover over Batman, and press Square (PS5) or X (Xbox) to open the outfit selector.

Does the Golden Knight Suit Count Toward 100% Completion?
No. The Golden Knight Batman suit is classified as a DLC skin, not a base game collectible. It does not count toward the “Unlock All Suits” Silver trophy or any other achievement. You can go for full Platinum on PS5 or 100% on Xbox without ever owning or equipping the Golden Knight suit.
If you are chasing all trophies and achievements, check our full LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Achievement and Trophy Guide for everything you actually need to unlock. For the base game suits that do count toward completion, see our All Suits in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight guide.
When Does the Code Expire?
Each redemption code is single-use only — once used, it is gone. The codes are also set to expire on March 1, 2029. If you buy the set but do not redeem the code before that date, it will no longer work. So if you are planning to buy the set as a display piece and redeem the code later, keep that expiry date in mind.
What About the Other LEGO Batman Sets?
The Batman Logo set (76330) is one of four LEGO Batman physical sets tied to in-game rewards. The other three are Batmobile sets, and they unlock vehicle cosmetics rather than suits. Here is the full breakdown:
- 76330 Batman Logo ($79.99) – Unlocks the Golden Knight Batman suit (character skin).
- 76331 Batman v Superman Batmobile ($29.99) – Unlocks the Batman v Superman Batmobile and its golden variant.
- 76332 The Batman Batmobile ($29.99) – Unlocks The Batman (2022) Batmobile and its golden variant.
- 76333 Batman and Robin Batmobile ($29.99) – Unlocks the Batman and Robin Batmobile and its golden variant.
Each Batmobile set gives you both the standard and gold version of that vehicle for your Batcave and open-world use. That is six vehicle variants across the three Batmobile sets.
There is also a hidden bonus. If you scan all four QR codes from all four sets and register them all to your LEGO Insiders account, you unlock an exclusive Gold Red Brick customiser that is not available through any other method in the game. This is the only reason to collect all four sets together rather than just the one you want.
For a full breakdown of all vehicles you can unlock in the game, check our All Vehicles in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight guide.
Are There Any Free Ways to Get Special Suits?
Yes. While the Golden Knight suit requires a paid physical purchase, there are a few genuinely free suit unlocks available to everyone:
- Golden Age Batsuit – Free for anyone who signs up for or logs into a WB Games account when launching the game. Even players who already had a WB Games account before launch are eligible. Just log in at the start menu prompt and the suit activates automatically.
- Dark Knights of Steel Batsuit – Free for players who link a WB Games account with an active HBO Max subscription. Inspired by the DC comic series.
- Black Lantern Batsuit – Also free with the WB Games and HBO Max account link. Inspired by HBO’s Lanterns series.
- Free Stud Cache – Go to Options, then Extras, and look for the LEGO Group Online Survey option. Scan the QR code shown on screen, complete the short survey on the LEGO website (takes a couple of minutes), and a Stud Cache will appear in your Batcave.
You can find all currently active codes and free rewards in our dedicated LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Redeem Codes guide.
Is the Golden Knight Batman Worth Buying?
That depends entirely on what you want out of it. The suit itself is purely cosmetic. It does not change how the game plays, does not unlock anything extra in-game, and is not needed for any trophy or achievement. If you are purely a gamer chasing the Platinum, you can ignore it completely.
However, if you are a LEGO collector, the 76330 Batman Logo set is a quality display piece on its own. The physical golden Batman minifigure is genuinely exclusive and makes the $79.99 price tag easier to justify for fans of the franchise. The in-game Golden Knight suit is the bonus on top, not the main reason to buy.
If you are buying the Batmobile sets (76331, 76332, or 76333) for the golden vehicle variants, those start at $29.99 each — a much smaller ask. And if all four golden cosmetics appeal to you, buying all four sets and claiming the bonus Gold Red Brick customiser makes the combined purchase feel more worthwhile.
