  • You need both Batman and Robin to reach every collectible in this mission.

Poison Ivy Mission Overview

The Poison Ivy mission takes place in the Botanical Gardens and is the final mission of Chapter 3 in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. You play as Batman and Robin as they track down Dr. Isley and fight through vine traps, spiked tentacles, carnivorous plants, and a boss fight against Poison Ivy herself and her Snapdragon.

The mission is one of the more chaotic in the game. The constant vine hazards and enemy encounters make it easy to run past collectibles without noticing. This guide covers every Venus Fly Trap, WayneTech Cache, and the Red Brick in the exact order you encounter them.

Before diving in, it helps to know the full mission list. Check our LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight – All Missions and Chapters Collectibles guide for a complete overview.

What Do the Collectibles Reward You With?

  • Venus Fly Traps: Collecting all 5 unlocks the Venus Fly Traps Batcave Trophy. Each one also adds to your overall Trophy Collectible count of 170.
  • WayneTech Caches: These grant ability points you can use to upgrade and improve your characters’ strength at the workbench in the Batcave.
  • Red Brick (Flower Power): Unlocks a new suit customization color option for all characters.

How to Replay the Poison Ivy Mission

Missed something the first time? No problem. Once you have unlocked the Batcave (after completing Mission 6: Shrek’s Department Store), head to the Batcomputer near the red batphone at the top of the Batcave. Interact with it to see a list of all missions. Select Poison Ivy to replay it in free play mode with your full character roster. A ticked box next to the mission means you have found everything. An unticked box means there is still work to do.

All Venus Fly Trap Locations in Poison Ivy

Venus Fly Trap 1 of 5 – First Room, Turn Right

At the very start of the mission, use the plant near the entrance to climb up and drop into the first room. As soon as you land, do not head forward. Turn right immediately and you will spot the first Venus Fly Trap sitting on a rock to the right side of the room. It is easy to walk right past it if you are focused on the objective.

Venus Fly Trap 2 of 5 – Behind You After the Enemy Drop

Progress through the level and deal with the giant plant blocking your path by using the Freeze Spray. Move into the next room and drop down to fight the group of enemies (Terra-troopers). Once you land, turn around to face behind you. The second Venus Fly Trap is right there at ground level, below the ledge you just dropped from. It is very hard to miss once you know to look back.

Venus Fly Trap 3 of 5 – “Floor is Toxic” Section, Look Down Right

After speaking with the frightened scientist and using Robin’s gadget to trace a hook line and move the giant petal platforms, work your way across to the final petal. Before going through the door marked “Carnivorous Plants of the Tropics,” stop and look down to your right. The third Venus Fly Trap is on a lower platform below the area. Drop down to grab it, then work your way back up.

Venus Fly Trap 4 of 5 – Opposite the Greenhouse

After the section where you feed strawberries to the plants, you will enter a new room. On your left is a greenhouse containing the Red Brick puzzle (covered below). Opposite the greenhouse, on the right side of the room, you will find the fourth Venus Fly Trap. Use your scan ability if you are struggling to spot it — it will glow gold.

Venus Fly Trap 5 of 5 – Before the Lab Entrance, Use the Vehicle

Just before you reach the lab entrance at the end of the mission, you need to build a vehicle (a lawnmower/plow). Once built, drive the vehicle into the overgrowth on the left side of the door. This clears the plants and reveals the fifth and final Venus Fly Trap hidden inside the growth. Do not enter the lab until you have cleared these plants and grabbed it.

All WayneTech Cache Locations in Poison Ivy

WayneTech Cache 1 of 5 – Behind the Waterfall

In the second room of the mission, you will see a waterfall on one side. Switch to Batman and use his Bat Claw (hook gadget) on the wall near the waterfall. This pulls open a hidden passage behind the water. Walk through and collect the first WayneTech Cache inside.

WayneTech Cache 2 of 5 – Next to the Scientist (Robin Batarang Targets)

When you reach the frightened scientist that you need to talk to, do not speak to him yet. Switch to Robin first and aim his Batarang at the three targets scattered around the area. Hitting all three creates petal platforms that climb upward. Follow the platforms to the top and collect the second WayneTech Cache waiting there. Once you have it, then talk to the scientist to continue.

WayneTech Cache 3 of 5 – Left Path Before the Strawberry Plants

After your second major enemy encounter in the mission, you will arrive at a section where you must feed strawberries to carnivorous plants to open a path forward. Before feeding the plants, look left. There is a path going left that leads directly to the third WayneTech Cache. Grab it first, then come back and complete the strawberry feeding puzzle.

WayneTech Cache 4 of 5 – Below the First Slamming Tentacle Plant

After the greenhouse room with the Red Brick puzzle, you will enter a corridor with slamming tentacle plants that you need to dodge through. Once you pass the first slamming tentacle, immediately turn around and look down below the platform you are standing on. The fourth Cache is on the lower level. Drop down carefully to get it and then climb back up to continue.

WayneTech Cache 5 of 5 – Robin’s Hook After the Snap Plant Section

After crossing the jumping section where you hop across Venus Snap Plants, reach the first safe platform (marked by a row of Gold Studs). Switch to Robin and look up and to your right. There is a tether hook point on the wall. Use Robin’s Cable Launcher to connect to it. This reveals a grappling point that leads to a small room above. Head inside and collect the fifth and final WayneTech Cache.

Red Brick Location in Poison Ivy – Flower Power

The Red Brick in the Poison Ivy mission is called Flower Power and it unlocks a new color customization option for all suits and vehicles.

After passing the strawberry plant section and grabbing Venus Fly Trap 4, you will see a greenhouse room on your left and a closed door straight ahead that Batman can open with the Bat Claw. Do not open that door yet.

Enter the greenhouse. Inside, you will see a machine with two flower sockets and three flower pots nearby. The puzzle solution is straightforward: place the red flower pot in the left socket and the green flower pot in the right socket. Once both are placed correctly, the Red Brick appears in the center of the machine. Walk up and collect it.

Note: some players report the order can vary slightly. If red-left and green-right does not work for you, try swapping them. Once the Red Brick is collected, head back out and continue through the Bat Claw door.

Tips for Getting All Collectibles in Poison Ivy

  • Always use your scan ability when entering a new room. It highlights Venus Fly Traps and interactable objects in gold.
  • Switch characters regularly. Several collectibles require Batman’s Bat Claw and others need Robin’s Batarang or Cable Launcher.
  • Do not rush the greenhouse room. It is right next to an objective door. Players who open the door first often miss the Red Brick entirely.
  • Look down at every raised platform. Two Caches and one Venus Fly Trap are below areas you might naturally ignore.
  • If the game bugs and a collectible does not register, close and reload the mission. This fixes most stuck collectible states.
