What Is the VIP Lounge Quest in Genshin Impact?
The VIP Lounge quest is a hidden challenge on the second floor of the House of Hesperides in Fellfrost Peak, Snezhnaya. It is part of the mansion’s broader collection of optional puzzles and challenges tied to its eccentric guests and servants. The quest has two stages: first you need to find the VIP Pass to get past the guard at the door, then complete a short hidden objective for an NPC named Lazoreva inside the lounge using a Matryoshka Doll Prime Ice Construct.
Completing Lazoreva’s task rewards an Exquisite Chest. More importantly, her dialogue afterward provides a valuable clue pointing you directly toward the Mountain Paintings Puzzle and its hidden secret chamber — one of the best reward chains in the entire mansion. Even if you find the bedroom puzzle without her hint, the VIP Lounge is worth clearing for its own chest and for understanding how the mansion’s quests connect.
The VIP Lounge shares the same floor with the Suspicious Ceiling Quest, the Mountain Paintings Puzzle, and the Elegant Snegurochka Statue Puzzle — all four can be completed in a single second floor visit. How to Access the House of Hesperides and the Second Floor
Before you can reach the VIP Lounge, you need to unlock and enter the House of Hesperides. Here is what is required:
- Complete Archon Quest Prologue: Act III – Song of the Dragon and Freedom to unlock Snezhnaya and receive the Eye of Graeae gadget.
- Progress through Archon Quest Chapter VII: Act I – Everwinter Without Mercy and complete Gunfire in the Silent Lands to unlock Snezhnayan world quests.
- Start the Hesperides of Love and Hate world quest chain. This quest chain begins south of Svetloledovka, where you follow a mysterious blonde boy named Ikhor to the mansion. Progress through the story events inside — including the entertainment in the main hall, the wedding chapel scene, and waking up in the bedroom — until you gain access to the second floor as a free-roaming area.
- The Invitation to the “Ritual” is obtained during the Hesperides of Love and Hate quest and unlocks the mansion’s ongoing exploration access after the story events settle.
Make sure your Eye of Graeae has Kresnik Energy before heading to the VIP Lounge — you need it to build the Matryoshka Doll Prime Ice Construct inside. Refill from Mini Kresnik Torches or Kresnik Kristall Ores outside the mansion if your energy is low.
How to Reach the VIP Lounge on the Second Floor
Teleport to the Mountain Mansion Front Hall (House of Hesperides Main Floor) waypoint and take the southern staircase to the second floor. Once on the upper floor, head toward the Elegant Snegurochka Statue room and then turn east. Enter the room on the eastern side of the second floor.
You will encounter the VIP Lounge Guard standing at the entrance to a restricted private room. He informs you that entry is reserved for guests with a VIP Pass and will not let you through without one.
Where to Find the VIP Pass
The VIP Pass does not require you to leave the mansion or solve any other puzzle first. It is already right here on the same floor, just a short walk away.
From the VIP Lounge Guard, continue walking along the hallway that extends beyond the lounge entrance. Keep going until you reach the corner of the corridor. At the corner, look down at the ground — you will see a sparkling pickup item sitting on the floor.
Interact with the sparkle to automatically collect the VIP Pass. It goes directly into your inventory. Walk back to the VIP Lounge Guard, show him the pass, and he steps aside to let you through into the private room.
Who Is Lazoreva and What Does She Want?
Inside the VIP Lounge, you will find Lazoreva — one of Grand Duchess Pavlina’s guests — sitting alone at a table. She explains that she is feeling lonely and would dearly like some company. Specifically, she wants someone to sit in the chair directly across the table from her so she does not feel quite so isolated in the private room.
The solution is not to find another NPC or invite a mansion resident over. Instead, the game wants you to build her a companion using the Prime Ice Construct system. A Matryoshka Doll construct — a fitting choice for Snezhnayan folk craft — is the item that will satisfy her request. You need its Temporary Blueprint before you can build it.
Where to Find the Matryoshka Doll Prime Ice Construct Blueprint
The Matryoshka Doll Prime Ice Construct Temporary Blueprint is hidden inside the VIP Lounge itself. You do not need to go anywhere else to find it.
Head behind the bar in the VIP Lounge room. Search the area behind the counter for the blueprint — it is placed there among the bar supplies. Interact with it to unlock the Matryoshka Doll construct for use in this section of the mansion.
How to Complete Lazoreva’s Quest — Place the Matryoshka Doll
With the Temporary Blueprint collected, open your Prime Ice Construct building menu and select the Matryoshka Doll construct. Build it and place it on the empty chair directly across the table from Lazoreva — the seat that faces her from the opposite side of the table.
Once the doll is correctly placed in the chair facing her, Lazoreva reacts warmly and thanks you for the company. The objective registers as complete and an Exquisite Chest appears beside her as your reward. Open it to collect Primogems, Intricately Patterned Buttons, Adventure EXP, Mora, and other Snezhnayan materials.
Lazoreva’s Secret Clue — The Mountain Paintings
After you complete her request, Lazoreva shares something useful. She mentions that the paintings in the neighboring room conceal something hidden — a secret that she hints at but does not spell out entirely. This is her way of pointing you toward the Mountain Paintings Puzzle in the bedroom just west of the VIP Lounge area.
The paintings she refers to can be rotated using the game’s interact menu. Rotating all four into their correct orientations — including freeing the large painting’s stuck mechanism with a Cube Prime Ice Construct — opens a Secret Chamber behind the bedroom wall containing:
- Precious Chest
- Remarkable Chest
- Cryoculus
- Collectible Painting
Helping Lazoreva is not strictly required to access the bedroom puzzle — you can find and solve it independently. But her clue makes the connection explicit and is the in-game signal that these two quests are linked. The same hidden bedroom chamber can also be spotted from the side room associated with the Seating Arrangements quest involving Zlatov and the other mansion guests — giving players two separate environmental clues pointing at the same secret before they ever speak to Lazoreva.
What Are Intricately Patterned Buttons?
The Exquisite Chest from Lazoreva’s quest may contain Intricately Patterned Buttons, a special currency collected from chests across the House of Hesperides. These are spent at the Jack Frost Goodie Shop in Jack Frost Village, which unlocks after completing the Small Jack Frost, Big Problems world quest. Items available from the shop include:
- A Touch of Frost in Scorching Summer! — a limited weapon skin
- Construct Appearance: Jack Frost — a cosmetic for your Prime Ice Constructs
- Snezhnayan level-up materials and other collectibles
The more House of Hesperides challenges you clear, the more buttons you collect — making it worth doing every quest in the mansion rather than stopping at just a few.
Tips for the VIP Lounge Quest
- Check the corridor corner first. The VIP Pass is easy to miss because it is a ground pickup rather than a chest or a container. Walk to the corner of the hallway past the guard and look down at the floor — the sparkle effect is small but visible when you are close enough.
- Search behind the bar before approaching Lazoreva’s table. The Matryoshka Doll blueprint is behind the counter, not visible from the main seating area. Walk fully behind the bar and look for the interactable blueprint among the bar items.
- Place the doll on the chair directly opposite her. The construct placement needs to be on the correct chair — the one facing Lazoreva across the table. Placing it on a different chair or nearby surface will not complete her request. Aim the build cursor at the seat facing her and confirm the placement from there.
- Have enough Kresnik Energy ready. Building the Matryoshka Doll costs Eye of Graeae energy. If you are running low from other second floor puzzles like the Suspicious Ceiling Quest, refill at a nearby Mini Kresnik Torch before entering the VIP Lounge.
- Go straight to the bedroom after Lazoreva’s hint. The Mountain Paintings Puzzle is literally next door to the west. After collecting the Exquisite Chest and hearing Lazoreva’s clue about the paintings, turn left out of the VIP Lounge and enter the bedroom immediately. There is no reason to make a separate trip.
- Do all four second floor challenges in one visit. The VIP Lounge, Mountain Paintings bedroom, Elegant Snegurochka Statues, and Suspicious Ceiling are all on the same floor. Clearing them all in a single visit to F2 is the most efficient way to sweep the second floor completely.
About the Hesperides of Love and Hate Quest Chain
The House of Hesperides becomes accessible through the Hesperides of Love and Hate world quest, which is started by finding an Invitation to the wedding of Grand Duchess Pavlina. The invitation can be found in two locations — one inside the office west of Svetloledovka Station on one of the waiting room seats, or at another pickup point in the Fellfrost Peak area.
Once you have the invitation, head south of Svetloledovka to find Ikhor, the mysterious blonde boy, and follow him to the mansion. The initial story quest takes you through the main hall, up to the wedding chapel, and through several events before the mansion becomes a free exploration zone for its hidden challenges. All of the VIP Lounge, bedroom, statue room, and ceiling chamber puzzles become available after this story segment concludes.
