How to Get Good Boy’s Grand Adventure Arc in NTE (Neverness to Everness)

TL;DR

  • Good Boy’s Grand Adventure is a free S-Rank Gas-type Arc — no gacha needed.
  • You get it by defeating the Morphix boss, which unlocks via the Pawn Moonlight spinoff quest.
  • You need to be at least Hunter Level 9 to start the quest.
  • Morphix is found at the Green Wall Slope in Bridge Crossings district of Hethereau.
  • First clear drops the Arc. Weekly repeats give duplicates and upgrade materials.
  • Morphix is weak to Cosmos. It telegraphs almost all attacks with a red glow.
  • This Arc is Sakiri’s signature weapon and one of the best early-game free Arcs available.

Good Boy’s Grand Adventure is one of the best free S-Rank Arcs you can get in NTE (Neverness to Everness), and you do not need to spend a single pull to get it. It comes from a spinoff quest and a weekly boss fight — both of which are easy to miss if you do not know where to look.

This guide covers everything: what the Arc does, how to unlock the Pawn Moonlight quest, how to complete it, where to find Morphix, and how to beat the boss to claim your reward.

What Is Good Boy’s Grand Adventure Arc?

Good Boy’s Grand Adventure is an S-Rank Gas-type Arc and the signature weapon for Sakiri. It is one of the strongest free team-support Arcs in the game, especially for teams that rely on frequent Ultimates and crowd control.

Its passive, called Morphix, does the following:

  • Increases Charge Efficiency by 18% (scales up with refinement).
  • Increases Team ATK by 10% for 20 seconds after the wearer casts an Ultimate.
  • Increases Team ATK by an additional 6% if enemies are controlled by that Ultimate.

At max refinement, those numbers rise to 30% Charge Efficiency and up to 16% Team ATK (plus 10% extra for controlled enemies). This makes it incredibly powerful in compositions where Sakiri’s Ultimate is landing on crowd-controlled targets.

Even outside Sakiri, the team-wide ATK boost on Ultimate cast makes this Arc useful for support builds on other characters. Getting it early sets you up well for both story content and harder endgame challenges. Check the full Sakiri build guide to see exactly how to use this Arc to its fullest potential.

How to Get Good Boy’s Grand Adventure Arc in NTE

The Arc drops from the Morphix weekly boss. Your first clear of Morphix rewards the Arc directly. After that, weekly clears give duplicates for refinement and other upgrade materials.

To fight Morphix, you first need to unlock it by completing the Pawn Moonlight spinoff quest. Once the quest is done, Morphix becomes a permanent repeatable weekly boss at the Green Wall Slope in the Bridge Crossings district.

Here is the full process step by step.

Step 1: Unlock and Start the Pawn Moonlight Quest

To start Pawn Moonlight, you need to reach Hunter Level 9 and complete the main quest Kodak. Once those conditions are met, the quest triggers automatically as you progress through the story. Most players pick it up naturally around Hunter Level 10 to 13.

The quest starts in New Hethereau – Bridge Crossings. Head to Eibon and speak with Adler to begin. If you are not near Eibon already, teleport using the phone booth just south of it to save time.

Step 2: Complete the Pawn Moonlight Quest

The Pawn Moonlight quest is one of the longer spinoff missions in NTE. Here is a walkthrough of all the key steps:

  1. Talk to Adler at Eibon. Follow the quest marker to get the story started.
  2. Head to the Moby-Dick Bookstore in Hankaku Plaza (west of Wertheimer Tower) and speak with Leila. A cutscene plays.
  3. Return to Eibon. A customer named Bianca appears. Agree to her request and follow the quest marker.
  4. Go to the Perfumer’s Residence. Use the elevator inside to reach the fourth floor and inspect the pink-marked items.
  5. Head to Sterry Express as directed by the quest marker.
  6. Follow the marker to Green Wall Slope in Bridge Crossings using a vehicle. Search deeper into the area for Anomaly Fluctuations to find the entrance to the Pawn Moonlight.
  7. Enter the Pawn Moonlight. Use the door directly in front of you. This is a maze-like area with a series of doors across multiple platforms.

The Door Maze

The door puzzle works like this: use the door straight ahead on the first platform, ignore the left path and go through the door ahead on the next platform, take the path to the left on the third platform, and open the final door on the last platform to continue.

The Shadow Chase Puzzle

After the maze, you enter a strange area with sliding doors. You need to locate and interact with a shadow multiple times while navigating the space. Enemies can appear here, so stay alert. Keep chasing the shadow until it is cornered — it turns out to be an anomaly that you must defeat to move forward.

First Morphix Boss Fight

After a cutscene where several characters appear, you are transported to a large arena for the first fight with Morphix. This story version of the fight has some unique mechanics compared to the weekly version.

The fight has three phases:

  • Phase 1: Standard melee combat. Morphix uses claw attacks, jump slams, and individual parry attacks. When it goes airborne, get ready to parry three attacks in quick succession. Chip away at its health until it drops to around 50%.
  • Phase 2: Morphix traps you in a narrow pathway and hurls blocks and bladed disc projectiles at you. Use melee attacks to deflect the discs back at Morphix. Every few seconds it will jump toward you for a parryable attack — landing the parry stuns it and opens a damage window. This is the main way to deal damage in this phase.
  • Phase 3: Morphix returns you to the original arena. It no longer does aerial parry attacks but its ground combos come in longer chains. Do not get greedy — dodge first, then commit to offense.

Once the boss is defeated, a cutscene plays and the Pawn Moonlight quest is complete. At this point, Morphix is permanently unlocked as a weekly boss.

Completing Pawn Moonlight also rewards: Hunter Level EXP x2000, Annulith x120, Expansion Core x10, Heterogenous Unit x40, Elite Hunter Guide x15, Chaotic Dye x15, Fons x60,000, and Beetle Coin x200,000 — a huge chunk of early-game resources.

Step 3: Defeat Morphix in the Weekly Boss Run

After completing the quest, Morphix becomes a repeatable weekly boss. The first weekly clear drops the Good Boy’s Grand Adventure Arc. Subsequent clears give duplicates for refinement and upgrade materials called Good Boy Stamps, which are essential for character training and enhancement.

To access Morphix after unlocking:

  • Head to the Green Wall Slope area in the Bridge Crossings district of Hethereau. It is accessed via Fiscus Avenue southeast from central hubs. Nearby landmarks include Houdini’s Magic Stage and Iris Bridge for fast travel.
  • Look for the glowing door. Walk up to it and interact to start the fight.
  • Alternatively, open the Anomaly Pilgrimage tab in the Exploration Guide menu and select Morphix from there.

You can also fast-travel directly to Morphix’s location from the map after your first clear, making repeated farming very quick.

Note: Morphix resets weekly on the Monday 5:00 AM server time reset. Unlock and clear it before the week ends to avoid missing that week’s reward cycle.

Morphix Weekly Boss: Attack Patterns and Tips

The weekly version of Morphix is simpler than the story fight — no special door or disc deflection mechanics. It is a straight combat test of your team’s strength. Here is what to watch for:

Morphix’s Weakness

Morphix is weak to Cosmos. Build your team around Cosmos-type characters for the fastest clears. Hathor’s Lakshana abilities can also trigger useful Esper Cycles like Remora (which slows Morphix) and Charge (which restores Ultimate energy for your whole team), making her a strong support pick even without a direct weakness match.

Key Attack Patterns

  • Claw attacks — the most frequent move and the least threatening. Easy to dodge.
  • Jump slam — the one that catches players off guard. The shockwave has a wider radius than it looks. Give yourself extra space when Morphix leaves the ground.
  • Flying disc throw + charge combo — the disc is parryable with a normal attack. Deflect the disc, then time an ultimate dodge for the follow-up charge.
  • Disc throw, warp, pounce — Morphix warps backward before the pounce. Do not use a skill to counter the disc or you may not have time to dodge the pounce.
  • Air explosion + charge — Morphix floats and triggers three explosions before charging. Even if you dodge the explosions, the boss stays airborne and your counter will not connect. Focus on evading and save your counter for the final charge.
  • Bite and Pounce — a branching combo that appears when Morphix drops below 50% HP. All hits show red warnings. Watch Morphix carefully and time your dodges. The first claw hit of the final sequence can trigger a parry counter if you time it right.

General Strategy

  • Keep your camera locked on Morphix at all times. The red telegraph indicators are small and easy to miss if you are watching your own character instead of the boss.
  • Deflect every disc you can — do not dodge them. Parrying discs deals damage and saves your dodge for follow-up attacks.
  • Use Ultimates during stagger windows for maximum damage.
  • Edgar is a solid pick for his healing, keeping you alive through any missed dodges while you learn the patterns.
  • Level 30 or above is recommended for efficient clears. Check the Edgar build guide for the best support setup.

Best Team for Morphix

Since Morphix is weak to Cosmos, a strong setup leads with a Cosmos DPS like Nanally for main damage, with Esper Zero providing Cosmos support from behind. Hathor fills the third slot nicely — her Lakshana abilities trigger Remora (slowing Morphix for easier parry timing) and Charge (restoring Ultimate energy to the whole team). Edgar rounds out the team as a healer.

Alternatively, run two DPS characters — Nanally for main damage and Hathor for follow-up hits — with two supports focused on buffs and survivability.

Weekly Morphix Farming: What You Get

Morphix is part of the Anomaly Pilgrimage weekly activity. You get three reward claims per week total across both available bosses (Morphix and Never-Ending Arachne). Each claim costs 60 Character Pixels.

Weekly Morphix rewards include:

  • Good Boy’s Grand Adventure Arc — on your very first clear.
  • Good Boy Stamp — the core upgrade material for Sakiri and certain early characters.
  • Arc duplicates — for refining Good Boy’s Grand Adventure to higher levels.
  • Fons and EXP materials — standard bonus resources.

Higher difficulty tiers give better materials. Always challenge the highest difficulty your team can comfortably handle.

Good Boy’s Grand Adventure Arc: Who Should Use It?

This Arc is purpose-built for Sakiri. Its passive synergizes perfectly with her control Ultimate — the extra 6% Team ATK bonus only triggers when enemies are controlled, which Sakiri does naturally. It is considered the best free Arc available for her.

Outside of Sakiri, the base 10% Team ATK on Ultimate cast still makes it a solid pick for any support character who casts Ultimates frequently, even if they are not running crowd control. It is a strong early and mid-game option for any Gas-type build.

Final Thoughts

Good Boy’s Grand Adventure is one of the most rewarding free S-Rank Arcs in NTE, and you can get it without touching the gacha at all. Complete the Pawn Moonlight spinoff, defeat Morphix for the first time, and the Arc is yours. After that, run Morphix every week for duplicates and upgrade materials to refine it to its full potential.

Do not skip this quest early on. The Arc, the weekly farming loop, and the boss rewards are all worth it — especially if you are running Sakiri or building a team around frequent Ultimates.
