    TL;DR

    • The Creator is the Sector 2 boss found at the end of the Mass Production Array.
    • Always prepare at the Shelter before triggering the fight.
    • Target the face and underside weak point — use the Freeze Hacking Node for easier shots.
    • Dodge into hand swipes, not away from them.
    • Climb Lunafilament pillars when the arena glows red or you will drop to 1 HP.
    • Destroy glowing limb sections to restore Diana’s hacking access.
    • Finish with a timed hacking sequence — navigate to the Open node before time runs out.

The Creator is the second major boss in Pragmata, and it makes the SectorGuard look like a warm-up act. This massive creature towers over a rooftop arena in the Mass Production Array Sector — a lunar recreation of New York City. If you go in unprepared, it will flatten you. But once you know the patterns, the fight is very manageable.

This guide covers everything: how to reach the boss, all attack patterns, weak points, phase changes, and the hacking finale.

    How to Reach the Creator

The Creator waits at the very end of the Mass Production Array Sector. To reach it, you first need to unlock a large gate by finding and activating nodes scattered throughout the area. This node-hunting phase takes time, so use it wisely. Explore, collect resources, and upgrade wherever you can.

Before you trigger the boss fight, stop at the Shelter. Stock up on healing supplies, upgrade your weapons, and make sure your loadout is ready. Don’t walk into this fight on a half-empty build.

    Recommended Preparation

Before you fight the Creator, your loadout matters a lot. This is not a fight you want to go into blind with weak gear.

Weapon loadout: Make sure you have a reliable Primary weapon and a strong Attack weapon. The Charge Piercer, which you find in Sector 2, is excellent here because it deals with armored targets well. For more help, see our Pragmata best weapons loadout guide and our Pragmata all weapons complete list.

Firmware upgrades: If you haven’t maxed out your core stats yet, do it now. Check our Pragmata best firmware upgrades guide to know what to prioritize.

Mods: The right mods make a big difference in this fight. See our Pragmata best mods guide for suggestions before entering.

The official game is available on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch 2, Steam, and the official Capcom website.

    Creator Boss Overview

The Creator is much bigger than the SectorGuard. It towers over the entire rooftop arena and has a wide range of moves. You need both hacking skills and shooting accuracy to win this fight.

The most important thing to understand going in: this fight is less about raw damage and more about controlling windows of vulnerability. Diana’s hacking is the key to everything. Without it, your guns deal very little damage. Keep that in mind across every phase.

    Creator Weak Points

The Creator’s face is your primary damage target for most of the fight. When the boss opens up, it also exposes a weak point on its underside which deals more damage — but it sits at an awkward angle.

Use the Freeze Hacking Node to lock the Creator in place long enough to get clean shots on that underside weak point. It makes a tough angle much more manageable.

    Fight the Creator Boss

Phase 1 – Core Attack Patterns

The fight opens with slow but hard-hitting attacks. The Creator uses hand swipes, arena charges, and laser beams in this phase. Here is how to handle each one.

    Hand Swipe

The Creator swings its massive hands in wide arcs. The natural instinct is to dodge backward, but that will get you hit. Dodge into the swipe instead. The invulnerability frames during the dodge animation carry you through safely. This is one of the most important habits to build early in the fight.

    Arena Charge

The Creator rushes across the arena at speed. You do not need to dodge the entire boss. As long as you avoid direct contact with any of its limbs during the charge, you can weave through without taking damage. Stay mobile and watch the limb positions.

    Laser Attack

The laser comes in two forms. When the Creator is stationary, it drags the beam across the arena in a wide sweep — dodge into this one, same as the hand swipe. When the Creator fires the laser during a charge, the beam is narrower and aimed directly forward. Stay to either side of the boss’s path instead of trying to outrun it.

    Taxicab Throw

The Creator picks up and throws taxicabs at you. This one is simple — just keep moving. Don’t stop to shoot during this attack or you will take a hit.

Phase 2 – Hacking Jammers Appear

As the fight progresses, the Creator starts blocking Diana’s hacking ability. To restore access, you need to destroy glowing sections on its limbs. These appear around the joints and on the head. When the boss gets lower on health, more glowing sections appear on its back as well.

Do not ignore these. Losing hacking access means you can no longer trigger the weak point opening, and your damage output drops significantly. Every time glowing sections appear, stop and clear them before doing anything else.

This becomes the core loop of Phase 2. Hack when you have access. Destroy glowing sections when they block you. Restore access and go back to hacking. Keep cycling through this until the Creator’s health gets low.

Phase 3 – Lunafilament Wave and Red Arena

When the Creator’s health drops further, it adds two powerful new attacks to its rotation.

    Lunafilament Wave

The boss sends a wave of Lunafilament sweeping across the arena from back to front. As soon as you see it start, dash to the opposite end of the arena. Don’t wait to react — move immediately.

Red Arena Attack (Most Dangerous Move in the Fight)

This is the one that will kill you if you don’t know it’s coming. The entire arena glows red, and if this attack connects it drops you to 1 HP instantly. You cannot dodge it at ground level. You cannot tank it.

When you see the arena turn red, stop everything else and get to the Lunafilament pillars. Blue circles appear on the ground before the pillars spawn — don’t stand on them, that’s where the towers grow. Each tower has a lift you can ride up. Get elevated and stay there until the attack ends.

There is a bonus to being up high. The tops of those pillars give you the best angle to target the hacking jammers on top of the Creator. So while you are waiting out the red attack, use the elevated position to deal with the jammers at the same time. Two problems solved at once.

    Final Phase – Hacking Sequence

Once the Creator’s health is fully depleted, the fight shifts into a hacking sequence. The boss grabs both Hugh and Diana, and Diana needs to complete a hacking matrix to finish things off.

This is not a cutscene. Stay focused.

You need to navigate through the node layout and reach the Open node before the timer runs out. Failing the sequence means death and you restart the fight. After surviving everything the Creator threw at you, that is a rough way to go out.

Before you start moving, take a moment to read the full node layout. Plan a path. Then move deliberately. Don’t rush. Running out of time from panic is the most common way players fail this section.

What You Get for Beating the Creator

After completing the hacking sequence, the Creator is defeated. The Shelter gets upgraded again and Sector 3 opens up. You also receive the Shelter License Key #2 which unlocks further base improvements.

    Quick Tips Summary

    • Dodge into swipes and stationary laser beams, not away from them.
    • During charges, avoid the limbs — you don’t need to dodge the whole boss.
    • Use the Freeze Hacking Node to get clean shots on the underside weak point.
    • Destroy glowing limb joints immediately when they appear to keep hacking access open.
    • When the arena glows red, stop shooting and climb the Lunafilament pillars.
    • Use elevated pillar positions to hit top-mounted jammers during the red attack.
    • In the final hacking sequence, read the layout before moving and don’t rush.
