TL;DR
- The Crimson Warden’s Bow is a free chest pickup — no combat, no prerequisites, no boss fight required.
- It’s located in the north district of the City of Demeniss, inside a large tower at the Elemore Estate in the Golden Plains.
- Climb the tower using the haystacks, enter the door at the top, and open the Treasure Chest inside.
- Only Kliff can equip and use this bow — Damiane and Oongka cannot.
- At max Refinement Tier 10, it reaches Attack +35 with no built-in secondary stats.
- It comes with 5 Abyss Core slots for full customisation — you’ll want to fill them since the bow has no base Critical Rate or Attack Speed bonuses.
- You can grab it before ever fighting the Crimson Warden boss herself.
The Crimson Warden is a former Greymane turned deadly boss in Crimson Desert, and her bow is just as iconic as she is. The good news — you don’t have to beat her to get it. The Crimson Warden’s Bow sits in a treasure chest in the Elemore Estate north of Demeniss Castle, completely free to grab at any point during your exploration of the region. Most players walk right past it because the chest is hidden inside a tower you have to climb. This guide shows you exactly where to go, how to reach the chest, and whether the weapon is worth your time.

Who Can Use the Crimson Warden’s Bow?
Before you make the trip, know this — the Crimson Warden’s Bow is a Kliff-exclusive weapon. Only Kliff can equip and fire it. Damiane and Oongka cannot use it at all. If you primarily play as one of the other two characters, this bow has no combat value for you, though you could still pick it up to sell or strip the Abyss Gears from it for use in other weapons.
Bows in Crimson Desert also require arrows to fire, so make sure Kliff has an arrow supply before heading into ranged combat with this weapon. For a handy supply tip, check our guide on how to get and use Replenishing Arrows.

Crimson Warden’s Bow Location — Demeniss, Elemore Estate
The bow is in the north district of the City of Demeniss, in an area called the Golden Plains of the Elemore Estate, just outside the north castle wall. On your map, look directly under the letter “N” in “Demeniss” — that’s the zone you’re targeting.
The specific landmark you’re looking for is a large white silo tower. It’s tall and cylindrical, easy to spot from a distance once you’re in the right area. There are haystacks around the base of the tower, which is the visual cue that you’re in the right spot.

How to Get the Crimson Warden’s Bow — Step by Step
- Step 1: Travel to the City of Demeniss and head to the north district. Use an Abyss Nexus fast travel point nearby if you have one unlocked.
- Step 2: Find the Golden Plains area of the Elemore Estate, just outside the north wall of Demeniss Castle.
- Step 3: Look for the large white silo tower with haystacks around its base. This is your target building.
- Step 4: Use the haystacks to begin climbing. Scale the tower until you reach a door at the top.
- Step 5: Enter through the door and look for the Treasure Chest inside — it’s typically in a corner near interactable objects.
- Step 6: Open the chest to receive the Crimson Warden’s Bow.
There are no puzzles, boss fights, or locked gates between you and this chest. Light enemy presence may appear in the surrounding area, but nothing blocks the path directly. It’s a clean exploration pickup that the game never explicitly points you toward, which is exactly why so many players miss it entirely.
You can also grab this before ever encountering the Crimson Warden boss in the main story. The chest and the boss fight are completely independent of each other.
Crimson Warden’s Bow — Stats and Refinement
Here’s how the weapon performs at different refinement levels:
- Base Attack (Refinement 0): 11
- Attack Speed: Lv 1 — balanced firing rate
- Abyss Core Slots: 5
- Max Attack at Refinement 10: 35
- Secondary Stats: None built in
- Sell Price: Approximately 1,512 Copper at base
The refinement curve through the early tiers is relatively cheap — mostly Timber is needed up to around Refinement +4, so pushing it to 19 Attack costs very little. That makes it a genuinely useful early option for Kliff ranged builds without much resource investment. Pushing past +5 makes more sense only if you’re committed to archery and haven’t found a stronger alternative yet.
For help with the refinement process, see our guide on how to reinforce equipment in Crimson Desert.

Abyss Gears — What to Slot Into the Crimson Warden’s Bow
The Crimson Warden’s Bow has no built-in Critical Rate or Attack Speed bonuses. Every secondary stat you want beyond raw attack has to come from Abyss Gears slotted into its five available cores. This is the weapon’s main limitation compared to bows that arrive with those bonuses already baked in. But five slots is a lot of room, and used well, you can make this a strong mid-range option.
Some popular choices for bow Abyss Gears:
- Critical Rate — The most impactful slot for increasing raw damage output on individual shots.
- Attack Speed — Tightens up firing rate, which matters a lot for sustained ranged combat and kiting enemies.
- Haste (Movement Speed) — A surprisingly effective option for a kiting-focused ranged build. High Movement Speed lets you maintain distance and stay ahead of enemy aggression while firing.

Is the Crimson Warden’s Bow Worth Getting?
Yes — as a free chest pickup with zero prerequisites, it’s always worth grabbing when you’re in the Demeniss area. Even if you’re not building around archery, the five Abyss Core slots make it valuable: you can strip out whichever gears come pre-slotted in the chest version and use them in other weapons or sell them.
For Kliff players actively building toward a ranged kiting style, it’s a solid foundation for the early-to-mid game. The refinement cost through the first few tiers is low, the raw attack ceiling at Refinement 10 is respectable at 35, and five customisation slots give you full control over how the weapon performs. Its weakness — no base secondary stats — is real, but manageable if you’re willing to invest in the right Abyss Gears.
If you’re comparing it to other bows and looking for stronger alternatives, check our dedicated bow guides: the Golden-Knotted Ancestral Bow and the Divine Echoes Bow are both stronger endgame options. For a complete ranged build using infinite arrows, see our OP Infinite Arrow Archer Build.
The Crimson Warden — Boss Background
The lore behind the bow is worth a quick mention. According to its in-game description, the Crimson Warden’s Bow is fundamentally a Greymane-style bow, but its shaft was reinforced using payment received from someone named Bastier — described as “the price of betrayal.” It was built for someone who values suppressing enemies from long range while prioritising personal comfort over honour. That description tells you a fair bit about the Crimson Warden’s character before you even meet her.
The Crimson Warden herself appears during the main story in Demeniss, after Chapter 8, in the Demeniss Wildlife Park. Defeating her rewards the Crimson Chaser Mail armor piece, which drops directly into your inventory. The rest of the Crimson Chaser (Crimson Warden) armor set is found at separate locations around Demeniss — the bow and the armor are all independent pickups.
