- Qingxiao needs Blade Blossom, Autopuppet Kernels, Solidarity’s Loneflame (Forged Empyrean’s Sigh), Wing Polarizers, and We Who Question to fully ascend and max her Forte.
- Total Shell Credits needed: roughly 2,530,000 (Ascension + Forte + Signature Weapon combined).
- Blade Blossom only blooms at night — switch the in-game clock before farming.
- We Who Question is the only hard time gate — capped at 3 claims per weekly reset from the Denia weekly boss.
- Solidarity’s Loneflame drops from the overworld boss Myriad Snare: Rustfire Chassis in Western Fang Peaks, Mengzhou.
- If pulling both Qingxiao and Jingran, double your Loneflame target to 92 — they share the same boss material.
- Shell Credits and Resonator EXP materials are universal and can be stocked at any time.
Wuthering Waves Qingxiao ascension materials are your first priority the moment you pull her in Version 3.6. Qingxiao is a 5-star Aero Sword Main DPS who needs a specific set of resources to reach Level 90 and unlock the full power of her Forte Circuit. Without those upgrades, her Ephemeral Transcendence damage and Mindlock scaling stay well below their ceiling. This guide covers every material you need, exactly how many to farm, where to get each one, and how to do it as efficiently as possible. Qingxiao Materials – Grand Total at a Glance
To fully build Qingxiao at Level 90 with all Forte nodes maxed and her signature weapon Glint of Clouds at Level 90, you need the following combined totals:
- Blade Blossom: 60
- Autopuppet Kernels (all tiers): ~182 total across LF, MF, HF, and FF tiers
- Solidarity’s Loneflame (Forged Empyrean’s Sigh): 46
- Mech Core: 34
- Wing Polarizers (all tiers): ~215 total across Broken, Monowing, Polywing, and Layered tiers
- We Who Question: 26
- Shell Credits: ~2,530,000 total (170,000 Ascension + 2,030,000 Forte + 330,000 Signature Weapon)
- Resonator EXP Materials: Enough Premium Resonance Potions to take her from Level 1 to Level 90
These figures cover character Ascension to Level 90, all five Forte branches at max level, and Glint of Clouds leveled to 90. If you are not pulling the signature weapon, your total materials drop by the weapon portion — you still need the full character and Forte amounts.
Aim for at least 3 million Shell Credits as a safe buffer. The extra covers Echo leveling, Synthesizer conversions, and incidental costs that add up over time.
Qingxiao Ascension Materials (Level 1 to 90)
Ascension unlocks Qingxiao’s next level cap. There are six Ascension phases in total, taking her from Level 20 cap to the Level 90 maximum. The Ascension materials alone cost 170,000 Shell Credits.
Her Ascension materials are:
- Blade Blossom — Local specialty from Mengzhou. Night-only harvest.
- Autopuppet Kernels — Enemy drops from Autopuppet enemies in Xuanfang Hold. Needed across four rarity tiers: LF, MF, HF, and FF.
- Solidarity’s Loneflame (Forged Empyrean’s Sigh) — Boss material from the overworld boss Myriad Snare: Rustfire Chassis.
Ascension Phase Breakdown
- Phase 1 (Level 20 unlock): 4x Blade Blossom, 4x LF Autopuppet Kernel, Shell Credits
- Phase 2 (Level 40 unlock): 8x Blade Blossom, 4x MF Autopuppet Kernel, Shell Credits
- Phase 3 (Level 50 unlock): 8x Blade Blossom, 8x MF Autopuppet Kernel, 4x Solidarity’s Loneflame, Shell Credits
- Phase 4 (Level 60 unlock): 12x Blade Blossom, 4x HF Autopuppet Kernel, 8x Solidarity’s Loneflame, Shell Credits
- Phase 5 (Level 70 unlock): 16x Blade Blossom, 8x HF Autopuppet Kernel, 12x Solidarity’s Loneflame, Shell Credits
- Phase 6 (Level 80 unlock): 12x Blade Blossom, 4x FF Autopuppet Kernel, 16x Solidarity’s Loneflame, Shell Credits
Total across all phases: approximately 60 Blade Blossom, 182 Autopuppet Kernels (all tiers), and 46 Solidarity’s Loneflame for Ascension only. These are shared with Forte, so farm them all together rather than in separate runs.
Qingxiao Forte Materials (Skill Upgrades)
Forte upgrades are where most of your resources go. The full Forte tree — covering all five skill branches — costs 2,030,000 Shell Credits on its own. This is the biggest single investment in Qingxiao’s build, and where you will spend the most Waveplates farming.
Forte materials required:
- Autopuppet Kernels — Same enemy drops used in Ascension. Shared pool, so farm efficiently.
- Wing Polarizers (Broken, Monowing, Polywing, Layered) — Forgery Challenge materials. Approximately 215 total across all tiers.
- We Who Question — Weekly boss drop from the Denia boss fight (Seed of Illusory Origin) at Dimmr Plains. 26 required total. This is your only hard time gate.
Skill Priority for Forte Investment
Do not upgrade every skill equally. Focus your limited resources on the highest-impact nodes first:
- Priority 1 – Forte Circuit: Handles about 48% of Qingxiao’s total damage. Her Ephemeral Transcendence, Heaven’s Reckoning, and Heavy Attack multipliers all scale from here. Max this branch first.
- Priority 2 – Resonance Liberation: Her nuke and the main Mindlock trigger. About 33% of her damage. Second most important branch.
- Priority 3 – Basic Attack: About 14% of damage. Worth upgrading third because of how much time she spends in basic combo during gauge-building.
- Priority 4 – Resonance Skill: About 3% of damage. Still worth maxing but lower urgency.
- Priority 5 – Intro Skill: About 2% of damage. Last priority.
Qingxiao Signature Weapon Materials – Glint of Clouds
If you pulled Glint of Clouds, leveling it to 90 adds another 330,000 Shell Credits to the bill, plus additional materials. The signature weapon shares the same Wing Polarizer line and Mech Core requirements with the Forte tree, so you will be farming the same Forgery Challenges either way.
Signature weapon materials needed (Level 1 to 90):
- Mech Core: ~34 total. Drops from Clamoring Tacet Discords in Lahai-Roi, including Sabercat Reaver, Geospider S4, and Spacetrek Explorer.
- Wing Polarizers (all tiers): Additional quantities on top of the Forte requirement. Run the highest Forgery Challenge tier available and downgrade excess high-rarity Polarizers at the Synthesizer.
- Shell Credits: 330,000 dedicated to the weapon.
Because Autopuppet Kernels are shared across character Ascension, Forte, and weapon paths, calculate your total need across all three before spending any on the weapon separately. Never upgrade the weapon in isolation — finish the character Ascension and Forte first, then level the weapon with whatever remains.
Where to Farm Each Qingxiao Material
Blade Blossom – Farming Location
Blade Blossom is a local specialty material found only in Mengzhou. It cannot be bought from any NPC shop. The main farming spot is Xianling Village, which has a total of 20 Blade Blossoms — 11 near the Resonance Beacon in the water and 9 around the stream running through the village.
Critical tip: Blade Blossom only blooms at night. During the day, the flowers remain closed buds and cannot be picked. Always switch the in-game clock to dusk or night before you start your farming route. Spawns refresh daily at 04:00 server time. Use the Detect feature from your Inventory or Guidebook to mark all nodes on your map before starting.
You need 60 Blade Blossoms total. With 20 per day from Xianling Village, plus additional nodes scattered across the Mengzhou region, you can collect the full amount in three or four days of active farming once Version 3.6 is live.
Autopuppet Kernels – Farming Location
Autopuppet Kernels drop from Autopuppet Tacet Discords in the Xuanfang Hold area west of Jinzhou. Almost all of the enemies in this zone drop Autopuppet Kernel materials at various rarity tiers (LF, MF, HF, and FF). Specific enemies include:
- Stone Picket
- Porcelain Picket
- Kernel Puppet
- Fog Lionarch
- Aureate Picket
Enemy drops naturally favor the lower rarity tiers. Use the Synthesizer’s 3:1 conversion to upgrade lower-tier kernels into higher ones. This is more Waveplate-efficient than farming high-rarity enemies directly. You can also grab Autopuppet Kernels passively when running Forgery Challenges in the Mengzhou area, so double up the routes whenever possible.
Alternative sources: the Store, select Forgery Challenges, and Supply Packs if you have spare currency.
Solidarity’s Loneflame (Forged Empyrean’s Sigh) – Farming Location
Solidarity’s Loneflame drops from the overworld boss Myriad Snare: Rustfire Chassis. This boss is located in the Western Fang Peaks area of Xuanfang (Mengzhou – Huanglong). You unlock it by progressing through Chapter 4 Act 1 of the main story. If you want to start farming faster, access it early through the Materials Spots > Weekly Challenge tab in your Guidebook for Early Access.
You need 46 total for Qingxiao. If you are also building Jingran in the same patch, double that target to 92 — both characters share this exact boss material. Plan your Waveplate budget accordingly and always prioritize whichever character is your main carry first.
Wing Polarizers – Farming Location
Wing Polarizers come in four tiers: Broken Wing Polarizer, Monowing Polarizer, Polywing Polarizer, and Layered Wing Polarizer. Farm them at Forgery Challenges in two locations:
- Cloudfall Chasm Forgery Challenge near Preening Pool in Mengzhou (recommended — passively farms Autopuppet Kernels on the same route)
- Fallen Sanctum Forgery Challenge in Etching Plains, Lahai-Roi
Always run the highest Forgery Challenge tier available. If you end up with surplus high-rarity Polarizers, downgrade them at the Synthesizer rather than separately farming lower tiers. The Mengzhou challenge is the better choice because you pick up Autopuppet Kernels at the same time, making it a two-for-one farming route.
We Who Question – Farming Location
We Who Question is the weekly boss drop for Qingxiao’s Forte. It comes from Seed of Illusory Origin, fought at Dimmr Plains. This is the Denia weekly boss fight. You unlock it by completing the main quest Wishes in the Bell: Epilogue, which follows directly after the Starlights from Yesterdays main quest.
Early Access to the boss is available through the Materials Spots > Weekly Challenge section of the Guidebook, so you can start farming right away without waiting to finish the full story chain.
This is Qingxiao’s only hard time gate. We Who Question is capped at 3 claims per weekly reset at 60 Waveplates each. There is no way to accelerate this. You need 26 total, which means a minimum of 9 weekly resets (roughly 9 weeks) before you can max every Forte node — unless you use Synthesis or supplementary materials to reduce the grind. Unlock the boss on day one of Version 3.6 and claim it every reset without fail.
Mech Core – Farming Location
Mech Core drops from Clamoring Tacet Discord enemies in Lahai-Roi. Specific enemies include:
- Sabercat Reaver
- Geospider S4
- Spacetrek Explorer
These enemies can be found throughout Lahai-Roi. Mech Core is used primarily for the signature weapon Glint of Clouds, so you only need to farm this if you pulled the weapon banner as well. Use Detect in your Guidebook to track enemy locations on the map.
Qingxiao Farming Priority Order
Follow this order to build Qingxiao as fast as possible without wasting resources or Waveplates:
- Step 1 – Unlock Myriad Snare: Rustfire Chassis and start weekly farming for Solidarity’s Loneflame. Do this on day one of 3.6. It’s your most Waveplate-intensive material and unlocks your Ascension breakpoints.
- Step 2 – Unlock the Denia weekly boss (Seed of Illusory Origin) and claim We Who Question every reset. Missing a single reset is a full week lost. Never skip this.
- Step 3 – Farm Autopuppet Kernels in Xuanfang Hold. Collect LF kernels in bulk and synthesize upward. Run this loop daily until you have the full 182.
- Step 4 – Harvest Blade Blossom every night. Switch clock to night and run your Xianling Village route. Daily refresh means you can stockpile fast.
- Step 5 – Run Cloudfall Chasm Forgery Challenges for Wing Polarizers. Do this in Mengzhou to passively collect Autopuppet Kernels at the same time. Always run the highest tier.
- Step 6 – Farm Mech Core in Lahai-Roi (signature weapon only). Only if you pulled Glint of Clouds. Do this after finishing character and Forte materials.
Farming Tips for Qingxiao Materials
- Never farm Blade Blossom during the day. The flowers stay closed and cannot be picked. Always switch the clock to night first. This is the single most common beginner mistake when farming this material.
- Farm LF Autopuppet Kernels in bulk and convert upward. The 3:1 Synthesizer conversion is the most Waveplate-efficient method. Do not spend extra Waveplates chasing HF or FF enemies directly when you can convert from a full LF stockpile.
- Run Mengzhou Forgery Challenges over Lahai-Roi ones. You get Wing Polarizers and Autopuppet Kernels on the same route. Two materials for one trip.
- Pre-stock Shell Credits now. Credits are universal and never expire. Start banking them before 3.6 even if you’ve already pulled Qingxiao. Aim for 3 million minimum, or 6 million if building both Qingxiao and Jingran in the same version.
- Pre-stock Resonator EXP materials too. Premium Resonance Potions are universal. Stockpile as many as you can before 3.6 so you can hit Level 90 on day one.
- Use the Guidebook’s Detect feature for every material. Open Inventory, select the material you need, and tap Detect. This marks every nearby source on your map so you never have to guess where to go.
- If pulling Jingran too, plan your Waveplate budget before spending. Both characters share Solidarity’s Loneflame. Farm Qingxiao’s 46 first if she is your primary carry, then work toward the additional 46 for Jingran.
Can You Pre-Farm Qingxiao’s Materials?
Partially. Here is what you can and cannot stockpile before Version 3.6 is live:
Materials You Can Pre-Farm Right Now
- Shell Credits — Universal, never expire. Bank as many as possible now.
- Resonator EXP Materials (Premium Resonance Potions) — Universal. Stock up through daily and weekly content.
Materials Locked Behind Version 3.6
- Blade Blossom — Mengzhou local specialty, only available after 3.6 launches.
- Autopuppet Kernels — Drops from Mengzhou enemies, only available in 3.6 areas.
- Solidarity’s Loneflame — Drops from the 3.6 overworld boss. Not available before patch day.
- Wing Polarizers — Available from Mengzhou Forgery Challenges, locked until 3.6.
- We Who Question — Weekly boss drop locked behind the 3.6 main quest and weekly reset.
Since most of Qingxiao’s materials are new to Version 3.6, the best pre-patch strategy is simple: save Shell Credits, stack Resonator EXP materials, and be ready to sprint on every material the moment 3.6 goes live.
