Why Qingxiao’s Teams Matter So Much

Qingxiao is a main Aero DPS who builds two Forte gauges — Qin Heart and Sword Cadence — through her basic attack combo. Once both are full, she enters Ephemeral Transcendence and unleashes her biggest damage through Heavy Attacks and her Resonance Liberation. The key mechanic that makes all of this hit harder is Mindlock.

Mindlock is a stacking debuff that goes on enemies when Tune Strain – Shifting is applied to them. Many of Qingxiao’s strongest moves deal bonus damage per Mindlock stack on the target. The faster and more consistently the team applies Tune Strain, the more stacks she gets, and the harder she hits.

This is why her team choices matter so much. Her damage is spread across Heavy Attacks, Resonance Liberation, and her Forte skills — not concentrated in one place. So she benefits more from teammates who give universal damage amplification than from those who specialize in buffing just one damage type. Denia fits perfectly because of this. Lynae is strong but leans more toward Resonance Liberation DMG, which benefits Qingxiao less compared to the all-type coverage Denia provides.

Another weakness worth knowing: she struggles in wave-based endgame modes like Whimpering Wastes, where Tune Strain is hard to maintain across multiple enemy groups. Keep that in mind when choosing which endgame mode to run her in.

Qingxiao Best Team 1 – Full Tune Strain Premium Core

Qingxiao + Denia + Mornye

This is Qingxiao’s strongest team. Every major guide and tier-list source puts this composition at the top. Denia and Mornye together provide everything Qingxiao needs: consistent Tune Strain application, universal damage amplification, Off-Tune gauge acceleration, and healing — all in two character slots. The result is smooth rotations and her highest possible damage output.

Denia’s Role in This Team

Denia is Qingxiao’s best-in-slot sub-DPS. Here is what she brings to the team:

She inflicts Tune Strain – Shifting on targets and can reset the duration of Tune Strain – Interfered, keeping the status active much more consistently throughout the fight.
When Resonators on the team apply Tune Strain – Shifting, the target’s Off-Tune Level increases by 50% of its maximum value. This massively speeds up Tune Break setup.
Her damage amplification applies to all damage types — not just one skill type. This is what makes her a better fit for Qingxiao than Lynae, whose buffs favor Resonance Liberation DMG more specifically.
Her Resonance Liberation groups enemies together in an Erosion Field, making it easier for Qingxiao to hit multiple targets.
She provides 10 Tune Break Boost to the entire team, boosting Tune Break damage and total damage dealt to Tune Strain – Interfered targets.

The 3.6 Phase 1 banner features a Denia rerun alongside Qingxiao’s debut. If you don’t own her yet, pulling both at the same time is the ideal move for this team.

Mornye’s Role in This Team

Mornye is the best healer and support for any Tune Strain team. She brings:

A Syntony Field that heals the team and boosts Off-Tune Buildup Rate — making the whole team enter its optimal Tune Strain state faster.
An Interfered Marker that amplifies all damage enemies take.
All-DMG Amplification for the whole team, stacking with Denia’s buff for huge multipliers on Qingxiao’s damage.
At Sequence 1, Mornye provides full uptime on her damage buffs, removing any conditional timing requirements. This is a bigger upgrade for this team than many of Qingxiao’s own Resonance Chains.

This team is the smoothest to pilot. Denia enters, applies Tune Strain and groups enemies, Mornye heals and accelerates Off-Tune gauge, then Qingxiao takes the field with full Mindlock setup and executes her rotation. Clean, powerful, and consistent.

Rotation Order

Swap to Denia → use Resonance Skill and Liberation to apply Tune Strain and boost Off-Tune Level.
Swap to Mornye → use Resonance Skill to heal and boost Off-Tune Buildup Rate, activate her Interfered Marker.
Swap to Qingxiao via Intro Skill → execute full Basic Attack + Resonance Skill → Heavy Attack – Stringblade → Liberation → enhanced attacks → Heavy Attack – Heaven’s Reckoning → Outro Skill on swap.

Qingxiao Best Team 2 – Lynae Tune Strain Alternative

Qingxiao + Lynae + Mornye

If you own Lynae but not Denia, this is your best fallback. Lynae is a strong Tune Strain applier who works well in almost every team. She is also more F2P-friendly to build than Denia, as a less demanding investment can still get solid performance out of her kit.

The key difference from the Denia team: Lynae’s buffs lean more toward Resonance Liberation DMG amplification. Qingxiao’s damage is spread across multiple skills rather than concentrated in her Liberation, so Denia’s all-type coverage fits better. However, the gap is noticeable but not crippling. This team is fully viable for all endgame content and requires no additional limited-banner investment if you already have Lynae.

Keep Mornye in this team as your healer and Tune Strain support. She is the one character you really want in any Qingxiao composition, and she is harder to replace than Denia.

Qingxiao Best Team 3 – Denia + Shorekeeper (Comfort Version)

Qingxiao + Denia + Shorekeeper

For players who own Denia but want more survivability, swapping Mornye out for Shorekeeper is a solid option. You lose the specialized Tune Strain utility Mornye provides, but you gain Shorekeeper’s universal Crit Rate and Crit DMG buffs, plus reliable healing and general team amplification.

Qingxiao’s innate Crit Rate can be on the lower side depending on your Echo setup, so Shorekeeper’s Crit buffs can noticeably improve her damage consistency. This team works especially well in harder endgame content where survivability matters. It is slightly less optimized than Denia + Mornye for pure damage, but more comfortable to play when the fight requires more healing uptime.

Qingxiao Best Team 4 – Aero Team (Non-Tune Strain)

Qingxiao + Ciaccona + Shorekeeper

If you don’t have Denia, Lynae, or Mornye, this team is a viable alternative built around Aero synergy rather than Tune Strain. It doesn’t push Mindlock stacking as efficiently, but it keeps Qingxiao functional with strong buffs from two different angles.

Ciaccona is the premier Aero support. She provides Aero DMG amplification for the team, fast Concerto Energy regeneration for smooth rotations, and off-field Aero damage. Her signature weapon Woodland Aria further strengthens her in this role, but she works without it. If you don’t have Ciaccona, Aalto is a more accessible 4-star Aero support who still provides some Aero DMG buffing.

Shorekeeper fills the healer slot here and adds her Crit buffs on top. Since this team doesn’t run Mornye, Shorekeeper is better than Verina here because of those Crit bonuses.

The main drawback: Ciaccona does not contribute Tune Strain, so Qingxiao won’t stack Mindlock as fast or as high. Her ceiling is lower than in dedicated Tune Strain teams. This is more of a general-purpose Aero comp for players who want flexibility over optimization.

Qingxiao Best Team 5 – Hypercarry with Sanhua

Qingxiao + Sanhua + Mornye

A strong accessible team for players who have Mornye but not Denia or Lynae. Sanhua is a 4-star Resonator who provides fast rotations and Basic Attack DMG buffs, which directly benefit Qingxiao’s heavy basic attack combo during her gauge-building phase.

Sanhua is one of the best 4-star support options in the game. She is easy to build and widely available. Her Outro Skill grants Basic Attack DMG Bonus to the next character, which benefits Qingxiao’s main attack loop. She does not contribute Tune Strain, so Qingxiao won’t reach her premium ceiling here. But this team is considerably easier to build than the Denia variant and still allows Qingxiao to be the team’s primary damage dealer comfortably.

Mornye stays as the universal healer and damage amplifier. She adds enough Tune Strain utility on her own to make a partial difference even without Denia.

Qingxiao Best Team 6 – F2P Budget Team

Qingxiao + Mortefi or Sanhua + Verina or Baizhi

There is no perfect F2P team for Qingxiao. She is not the most F2P-friendly character because she relies heavily on Tune Strain mechanics, and no free or 4-star character provides that. However, you can still run her and clear most content with this budget setup.

Qingxiao — Main DPS, same role as always.
Mortefi or Sanhua — Sub-DPS. Mortefi provides Coordinated Attack DMG through off-field Fusion damage. Sanhua provides Basic Attack buffs and fast rotations. Neither gives Tune Strain but both add meaningful team DPS.
Verina or Baizhi — Healer. Verina provides ATK buffs and healing. Baizhi is the 4-star alternative. Both keep the team alive and contribute some team DPS amplification.

This team sits roughly 20–30% lower in team DPS compared to the premium Tune Strain setup. But the difference is manageable when Qingxiao is well-built. You can still clear mid-to-high endgame content with this lineup while you save resources for better supports in future banners.

Qingxiao Team 7 – Iuno + Ciaccona Alternative

Qingxiao + Iuno + Ciaccona

An alternative for players who own Iuno and Ciaccona. Neither character brings Tune Strain synergy, but both offer solid damage amplification from different angles.

Iuno is a strong sub-DPS who enters the Lunar Cycle to deal high off-field damage. Her attacks also restore HP for the whole team, providing passive healing in the process. Her Outro Skill buffs Heavy Attack DMG for the frontrunner, which directly helps Qingxiao’s core rotation since her biggest hits are Heavy Attacks. Ciaccona fills the Aero support and off-field damage role, boosting Qingxiao’s Aero DMG Bonus and providing fast Concerto Energy generation for smooth rotation swaps.

This team won’t reach the Tune Strain ceiling but works well if you’ve already invested in Iuno for another team and want to share that investment here without pulling new supports.

Lynae — Strong Tune Strain alternative to Denia. Good universal buffer but leans more toward Resonance Liberation DMG. Use her if you already own her.

If you’re starting fresh and want to build around Qingxiao, here is the order of priority for supports:

Priority 1 – Mornye: She is the one character who fits into every Qingxiao team and stays valuable long-term. Pull her before anything else if you don’t own her.
Priority 2 – Denia: Phase 1 of 3.6 reruns Denia alongside Qingxiao. Pulling both at once is the most efficient move for new players building this team.
Priority 3 – Lynae: If you already own Lynae, you can skip Denia. Lynae covers the Tune Strain applier role and is a universal buffer for many other teams too.
Priority 4 – Shorekeeper: A great long-term investment for Mornye’s slot. Pull her if she reruns and you want a more flexible healer that helps across multiple teams.

If your Astrites are limited and you can only pull one support, Mornye is the safer choice since she works in every team across the game. Denia is more Qingxiao-specific, though she also fits other Tune Strain DPS characters.

Qingxiao in Endgame – Where She Excels and Where She Doesn’t

Qingxiao is a very strong single-target DPS. She shines in content where enemies stay grouped and alive long enough to stack Mindlock — things like Tower of Adversity floors and the long single-boss challenge formats.

She struggles more in wave-based content like Whimpering Wastes. When enemies die before you can build Mindlock stacks, her damage drops because the whole Tune Strain system needs enemies to survive the initial setup phase. This is her main competitive weakness in the current meta. If Whimpering Wastes is your main focus, she might not be your best investment compared to more flexible carries.

For most players running Tower of Adversity and Tactical Hologram content, however, she is excellent. Her interruption resistance through Swordlight Ward, her built-in aerial mobility, and her Mindlock burst windows make her one of the most satisfying DPS characters to play when the content plays to her strengths.
